Aaron Rodgers, Steelers may start hot - but Pittsburgh needs patience

Video Transcript
We watched Jared Goff, I mean, a five-interception game.
We forget a five-interception game that was just dreadful.
If that happens for Aaron Rodgers, my God, it's just gonna be apoplectic.
Like, everything's coming to a crashing, screeching halt, like fire Tomlin, get rid of everybody.
The Steelers are bums.
Like, there has to be some wiggle room in all of this to me.
And that's what's maddening about it: I genuinely believe the Steelers have a really favorable open to the schedule, and then there's a lot of tough games.
I could totally see the Steelers coming out of the gates hot and then coming back to Earth.
And I don't think that has to mean that anything went tragically wrong.
It's just like this is a process for Pittsburgh, and I don't, Jordan, I don't just, I don't know that the noise surrounding the Steelers will ever let that process play out the right way.
Right.
The Steelers start out with the Jets, Seahawks, Patriots, Vikings, bye, Browns, and then week seven Bengals.
I wouldn't be surprised if they go on to the Bengals game undefeated.
I mean, that's what, five and 0, and they'd have to buy it already, and Aaron Rodgers could be pretty fresh.
This defense is good, and yes, they lost Minkah Fitzpatrick, but they got Jalen Ramsey, TJ Watt back.
I mean, they've got a lot of good pieces.
They picked up Darius Slay in the secondary.
They extended safety Sean Elliott.
And then you have the offense, and Aaron Rodgers is definitely the best quarterback they've had since Ben Roethlisberger, and especially Ben Roethlisberger at the end of his career.
Aaron Rodgers is better, and I know you could say, oh, what did he do last year?
He actually was not bad last year, and that was in his first year off the torn Achilles.
So, I'm not saying he'll for sure play great, but I think there's a lot of reason to think he could.
The question will be, can Aaron and DK get on the same page?
Because they did lose George Pickens, and so it's not like they're super deep at receiver, but I think they have a lot of talent.

Commanders star WR Terry McLaurin officially requests trade, will Steelers make a move?
Commanders star WR Terry McLaurin just turned the NFL world upside down hours before the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, officially requesting a trade out of Washington — and the Pittsburgh Steelers should take notice. After months of drama-filled contract negotiations, McLaurin appears ready to pull the plug on his time as a Commander, as reported by NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The Steelers are no strangers to big moves this offseason — having acquired Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay, and Jonnu Smith all in the past four months. Despite Steelers GM Omar Khan making it clear that Pittsburgh is comfortable with the current roster, McLaurin's request could flip the entire narrative surrounding the Steel City wide receiver room. If Pittsburgh could pull off such a blockbuster acquisition, no one can deny that the incredibly stacked roster is Super Bowl-bound — as McLaurin and Metcalf would instantly become a top-three WR duo in the league. Madden NFL 26 Top-10 WRs revealed — did Steelers' DK Metcalf make the list?
EA just dropped the top-10 player ratings at each position for Madden NFL 26 — and despite acquiring one of the NFL's top wideouts this offseason, the Steelers were left off the list at receiver. Here are the newly released Madden NFL 26 player ratings for the top-10 wide receivers — with Steelers WR DK Metcalf likely just missing the cut by a few points. Metcalf just missed out on making Madden 26's top-10 wide receivers list with an expected, but unofficial, 88 overall rating. Traded to Pittsburgh this offseason, Metcalf is looking to produce a career year with 20-year veteran QB Aaron Rodgers — another Steeler deserving of a higher Madden rating this season. Madden NFL 26 Top-10 TEs: will Steelers' Jonnu Smith or Pat Freiermuth make the list?
EA just revealed the top-10 player ratings at each position for Madden NFL 26 — and although the Steelers acquired one of the league's best pass-catching tight ends this offseason, neither Pro Bowler Jonnu Smith nor Pat Freiermuth made the cut. Here are the newly released Madden NFL 26 player ratings for the top-10 tight ends — with Smith's projected 80 overall rating just five points short of the group. An argument can be made that Smith, who's coming off the best year of his career, deserves a spot among Madden's top tight ends — but clearly, both he and Freiermuth still have doubters to silence this season. Many expect Smith to play a versatile and pivotal role for the Steelers this upcoming season — potentially enough to raise his Madden rating and break into the top mark.
