Fatima Sana Shaikh said that she really enjoyed working with R Madhavan in the upcoming film Aap Jaisa Koi.
Fatima Sana Shaikh is gearing up for some exciting projects. The actress was recently seen in Anurag Basu's 'Metro…In Dino', co-starring Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal and others. Up next, she will be seen in Vivek Soni's upcoming family drama 'Aap Jaisa Koi', which is set to release in a few days. Fatima stars opposite R Madhavan in the film, and she recently opened up about her experience working with him. She called him 'incredible', and said that he has been India's crush for many years. She also shared her admiration for director Vivek Soni.
Fatima Sana Shaikh On Working With R Madhavan
While speaking with Zoom, Fatima said, 'I'm very excited for Aap Jaisa Koi. It's a very sweet film. Vivek Soni is an incredible director—I think, out of the newer lot of directors, he is very talented. He's got a strong visual voice, and the moment you see his films, you instantly know it's a Vivek Soni film, and that is very special. Also, I love Maddy—he is incredible. He's been the country's crush for years now, and his smile is still the most beautiful smile of any actor, I believe. I really enjoyed working with him."
Meanwhile, earlier, Fatima mentioned that she feels truly blessed to be a part of this film. 'I've been a huge fan of Madhavan, and getting the chance to share the screen with him was such a joy. Playing Madhu was incredibly special. We often associate strength and confidence with masculinity, but Madhu embodies these qualities with such softness and femininity… Through this film, I got to dive into different shades of love, and oddly enough, it felt quite therapeutic," she said.
About Aap Jaisa Koi
R Madhavan plays a 42-year-old man Shrenu Tripathi in Aap Jaisa Koi, while Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen as Madhu Bose, bringing audiences a heartwarming family drama that celebrates connection, companionship, and the beauty of discovering 'Barabari Wala Pyaar' in the most unexpected circumstances.
Set across the distinct worlds of Jamshedpur and Kolkata, the film follows Shrirenu, a man shaped by habit and tradition, as he begins to re-examine long-held beliefs about masculinity, companionship, and emotional expression. In Madhu, a spirited woman who refuses to shrink herself to fit societal moulds, he finds not just a romantic partner, but a mirror to his own conditioning. As the two navigate family expectations, emotional baggage, and the weight of societal conditioning, Aap Jaisa Koi becomes a story not just about romance, but about reclaiming a woman's agency.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment's Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, Aap Jaisa Koi will release on Netflix on July 11.

In Dino marks Kush Jotwani's big-screen breakthrough, his rise in the entertainment world is more than just a solo success story, it's a tribute to the support system that's been with him from the very start. In an exclusive conversation with The Hans India, Kush, who plays Anand, a corporate executive opposite Sara Ali Khan, opened up about the moment he found out he had bagged the role in Anurag Basu's much-anticipated film and the very first person he shared it with.'I called up my mom,' Kush revealed. 'I immediately sent her the confirmation. She's always been the first person I go to, not just for news like this but for every celebration in my professional life. She's given so much to me and my brother. I feel it's time to give it back. So, I think these little things just make them happy, right? Mom and dad. ' The emotional milestone occurred just moments before Kush's flight took off, talk about timing! But for the actor, making sure his mother was the first to hear the good news was a no-brainer. 'The helicopter, hands down': Charlize Theron as she shares her favourite stunt in The Old Guard 2

Washington DC [US], July 7 (ANI): Charlize Theron talked about her favourite stunt in the superhero film, 'The Old Guard 2', directed by Victoria Mahoney, reported Variety. "The helicopter, hands down," she said, adding, "We did it towards the end, and I was like, 'Oh, my God, if I pull this off, I'm gonna be okay with never doing a stunt again.' That didn't last long, but it was intricate. It was psychological. The first two weeks of it was sitting down with the pilot and building trust. It was slow moves. But by the end, I was hanging off a helicopter, so who cares?" While she was performing the scene, Theron said, "I was hanging in the air, going, 'I'm going to never be able to stop saying that I hung off a helicopter'," reported Variety. 'The Old Guard 2' is a 2025 superhero film directed by Victoria Mahoney, from a screenplay by Greg Rucka and Sarah L. Walker, based on the comic book series 'The Old Guard'. Serving as a sequel to the first film, the film stars Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngo, and Chiwetel Ejiofor reprising their roles from the first film while Henry Golding and Uma Thurman join the cast. The Old Guard 2 was released on July 2 on Netflix. A third movie could also be in the works. Producer Marc Evans shared in May 2023, "There's an ending to No. 2 that kind of demands a No. 3, which makes me very happy," according to Variety. Theron, who also serves as a producer on the franchise, said, "We're going to take a break, take a little breather, and then we'll come back and decide." Theron, who is all set to begin shooting for Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey," also said she plans to direct one day, "I've always kind of been interested, but I have young children, and to direct is very all consuming...I need my kids to get out of the house," reported Variety.
