Does Paddington in Peru have a post-credits scene?

Yahoo09-04-2025

Paddington and his marmalade are finally back in Paddington in Peru, which is streaming on Netflix UK now. The beloved bear has become a national treasure after affecting several generations of children – and let's face it, adults – with his heartwarming demeanour and optimistic outlook on life.
The threequel sees Paddington returning home to darkest Peru, only to discover that his beloved Aunt Lucy is missing. To find her, he must set off on a trek deep into the wild wilderness with his foster family, the Browns.
The new film – helmed by director Dougal Wilson – marks the bear's cinematic comeback following 2017's Paddington 2. He did, however, make a memorable brief appearance at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
Paddington in Peru includes tributes to the late monarch and author Michael Bond, as well as a post-credits scene featuring a surprise A-list cameo. Here's your spoiler-filled guide to the ending...
Netflix users should watch Paddington in Peru until the very end, because Hugh Grant reprises his villainous role from Paddington 2 in a post-credits scene. Paddington visits Grant's character, Felix Buchanan, in prison.

The plot synopsis for Paddington in Peru reveals: "The highly anticipated third Paddington film brings Paddington's story to Peru as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears.
"With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and to the mountain peaks of Peru."
Ben Whishaw returns as the voice of Paddington, while The Crown star Imelda Staunton reprises her role as Aunt Lucy.
Hugh Bonneville is back as Paddington's foster father Henry Brown, while Emily Mortimer takes over the part of matriarch Mary Brown from Sally Hawkins. The couple's children Judy and Jonathan are played once again by Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin.
Harry Potter's Julie Walters portrays housekeeper Mrs. Bird, and Bridget Jones actor Jim Broadbent plays antiques dealer Samuel Gruber.
Oscar winner Olivia Colman joins the franchise as the Reverend Mother, a guitar-playing nun who runs the Home for Retired Bears.
Puss in Boots' Antonio Banderas plays riverboat captain Hunter Cabot, and newcomer Carla Tous plays his daughter Gina. She replaced Rachel Zegler on the film after the West Side Story star was unable to take part due to the Hollywood strike.
Paul King, who helmed the first two Paddington films, stepped out of the director's chair for Paddington in Peru. He handed the reigns to Dougal Wilson, who is best known for directing several John Lewis Christmas adverts, and music videos for artists such as Coldplay, LCD Soundsystem and Jarvis Cocker.
In a statement, King said: "Dougal's work is never less than astounding: funny, beautiful, heartfelt, imaginative, and totally original. Aunt Lucy once asked us to 'please look after this bear.' I know Dougal will do so admirably."
Wilson admitted taking over from King was a "massive responsibility", adding: "As a huge fan of the first two films, I am very excited (if not a little intimidated) to be continuing the story of Paddington."
King served as executive producer and wrote the story with his collaborators Simon Farnaby and Mark Burton. The screenplay was penned by Burton, Jon Foster and James Lamont, who scripted Paddington's Jubilee sketch with the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Madonna Teams Up With Shawn Levy and Netflix For a Limited Series Based on Her Life: Report

Madonna fans have been waiting for years to see the Queen of Pop get her very own biopic — and according to a new report, they may finally get to see one. According to a report from Deadline on Monday (May 12), Madonna has teamed up with Deadpool & Wolverine producer Shawn Levy to develop a limited series based on her life and career for Netflix. Levy's production company 21 Laps currently has an exclusive deal with Netflix. The new project is apparently not related to a much-discussed and since-delayed feature film based on Madonna's life. The project, which was being developed by Universal Pictures and set to star Ozark and Inventing Anna actress Julia Garner as the pop superstar, was put on an indefinite hold in 2023 as Madonna embarked on her Celebration World Tour. In 2024, however, Madonna sparked rumors that the film might be back in the works, when she shared a since-deleted photo of herself sitting at a typewriter working on a screenplay titled Who's That Girl — an apparent nod to her 1987 film and song of the same name. Still, Madonna herself floated the idea of creating a TV series about her life in November of last year, claiming that a number of 'producers and agents' told her that she wouldn't be able to make her film the way she wanted to. 'Downsize-down scale-think smaller-they say—I realized that everything in my life is going to be challenged,' she wrote in a since-removed post, before asking her fans if they would prefer to see her story adapted into 'a series or a feature film.' Sean Penn Reacts (30 Years Later) to Madonna Calling Him the Love of Her Life

In her 1991 documentary Truth or Dare, Madonna declared that Sean Penn was the love of her life. And more than three decades later, the actor is sharing his thoughts on it. In an interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast posted Monday (May 12), Penn said that his superstar ex-wife was 'very sweet' for her remarks in the Alek Keshishian-directed doc when asked whether he recalled what she'd said. 'I do,' he told Theroux. 'Look, she's been a good friend for a lot of years.' After their divorce in 1989, the exes stayed friends. 'It didn't take us long to realize that we had mistaken a good first date for a wedding partner,' Penn said. 'It didn't take us long to recover after we got divorced, maybe a year, in a friendship. I have a lot of fond memories of it – it's not all jail.' The actor added: 'But there was a lot of alcohol and she'd be fairly accusing me of that.' Following her split from Penn, the 'Material Girl' singer would go on to marry Guy Ritchie in 2000 before they separated in 2008. Penn was married to Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010, followed by Leila George from 2020 to 2022. Penn's thoughts on the Truth or Dare documentary come just after a report that a long-awaited biopic about Madonna's life is finally in the works. According to Deadline, the star has teamed up with Shawn Levy for a Netflix limited series about her life and career. Madge is also currently working on new music with producer Stuart Price, who worked on her Billboard 200-topping 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor. It's been about six years since the 'Vogue' singer last dropped a proper album, releasing Madame X in 2019.
