Decades after it first arrived, Paranoid is once again giving Black Sabbath a reason to celebrate. The classic album is back on the Billboard charts this week, and it isn't just quietly returning. A massive sales spike has propelled the legendary rock release to new peaks, and while it may not be the band's highest-rising title of all time, it's one of the group's longest-charting, and it clearly still matters to a large number of fans all around the world.
The biggest jump for Paranoid this week comes on the Vinyl Albums chart. The beloved set returns to No. 11 on that wax-focused ranking. That position now stands as its best showing ever on the roster, which focuses solely on the bestselling vinyl titles in the nation. It misses the top 10 by just one rung, but that's still an impressive accomplishment for a title that was first released back in 1970.
On the Top Album Sales chart — Billboard's list of the bestselling releases of any genre or format in the U.S. — Paranoid returns at No. 25. That's another new personal best for the favorite from the heavy metal pioneers.
Paranoid also reappears on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, which only ranks titles that fall under that specific genre umbrella. While the set doesn't manage to soar higher than ever before on that roster, it does tie its previous best. This time around, the set is back at No. 17.
Even if Paranoid hasn't reached new heights across every tally on which it appears, the title is becoming one of the longest-running wins in the band's discography. On the Top Album Sales chart, the LP has now spent 11 weeks on the ranking, making it Black Sabbath's third-longest-charting title.
Over on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, Paranoid earns its sixth stay, which is just enough to push it past The Ultimate Collection and stand in second place among the group's longest-running efforts on that list.
On the Vinyl Albums chart, the classic collection is now tied with 13 as the band's most persistent success story. Both of those titles have now racked up four appearances on that ranking.
According to Luminate, Paranoid sold a little more than 3,800 copies in the U.S. last week. That's a huge jump from the frame before, when only around 700 albums were sold. That represents a 453% week-over-week increase in pure purchases.
This week's gains weren't random. Paranoid was just reissued in a special black vinyl, which was only made available in limited quantities. Only a few thousand copies were offered for sale, but that was more than enough to send it back to the Billboard charts – and in impressive positions, as well.

'Kiss reflected on the importance of helping reintegrate those who were incarcerated back into productive members of society. 'Just hitting that switch to let them know that they can come back and get right due to whatever hardships they went through,' Jada said. 'There's some hope now when you come back to get readjusted. Hopefully change your financial situation.' Joe also implored fathers who have fractured relationships with their kids to reconnect. 'Reconnect with your kids because sometimes kids can get bitter their parents were away in jail,' Joe added. 'You gotta find that bond. It's always there, but you gotta find that red tape to get in sync.' He continued: 'Start now. Forget if you messed up the last 10, 20, 30 years. Start now to be a productive father and get your relationship with your kids. … On New Year's everyone want to lose weight; I think Father's Day should be an adjustment with you and your kids.' Joe and Jadakiss hosted the event in collaboration with Sei Less co-founder Dara Mirjahangiry and the REFORM Alliance, ensuring that this Father's Day these families had something to celebrate. 'Working with Fat Joe, Jadakiss and REFORM to celebrate these fathers at Sei Less was truly special,' Mirjahangiry said. 'Ahead of Father's Day, we really wanted to shine a light on these fathers who have been impacted by the criminal justice system and support their re-entry journey with compassion. It was a powerful way to bond through culture, community and cuisine.' Inside Manuel Turizo's 201 World Tour: ‘We're Going to Create Chaos'
Manuel Turizo officially hits the road on Wednesday (June 11), taking his 201 World Tour to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The CMN and La Industria Inc-produced stint is in support of his latest studio album 201, which is an homage to the apartment number where he grew up in Montería, and 'represents all those dreams I had since I was a child, all those young desires,' he previously told Billboard. More from Billboard DJ Akademiks Denies Taking Payola From Drake During Kendrick Battle Raekwon and Ghostface Killah Release Trailer for 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx' Documentary SEVENTEEN Have a Good Time Being a 'Bad Influence' in Futuristic Video For Pharrell-Produced Single In bringing the ultra-personal and intimate album to life, Turizo assures us that 'the story [of my album] will be finished telling on the tour.' 'I was thinking about how to connect Manuel Turizo as a performer with where he comes from and where all these inspirations or all these stories a person lives originate,' he tells Billboard in an exclusive interview at his Miami home. 'All of that happens in my house. In [apartment] 201 there were heartbreaks, there were loves, drunken parties with friends, with family—all the stories are there. All the songs are born there, all the ideas are born there. I wanted to tell it in the same way and bring that 201 to the 70 cities where I'm touring.' He reveals that the stage is inspired by his childhood living room back in Colombia: '201 tour is basically Manuel Turizo's apartment that we're going to fill with people and create chaos,' he elaborates. While on tour, the Colombian artist will visit other Latin American countries like Chile, Costa Rica and Argentina, before launching the North American leg of the trek on Aug. 21 in Chicago. After visiting major markets like New York, Miami and Los Angeles along the way, he will return to Latin America to wrap up, with the last date on Dec. 6 in Guatemala. Above, check out our exclusive 'En Conversación,' where Turizo also opens up about his friendship with Shakira, his No. 1 Billboard hit 'En Privado' with Xavi, releasing new music and more.
