Solo Leveling, originally a web novel by Chugong, was later adapted into a hit webtoon illustrated by the late artist Jang Sung-rak (aka Dubu), and published on KakaoPage and Tapas.
It has since garnered millions of readers worldwide and was successfully adapted into a Japanese-Korean anime series that premiered in early 2024.
The story follows Sung Jin-woo, initially known as the 'weakest hunter,' who is thrust into a mysterious system that allows him to level up without limit. While details of the production studio and release schedule have yet to be confirmed, industry insiders suggest the series will be produced jointly by Korean and international partners, aiming to replicate the global success of Netflix's The Glory and Sweet Home.

The animated series My Melody & Kuromi: Season 1 sits at number 2, while fan-favourite anime DAN DA DAN: Season 2 lands at number 3. Trigger imagines a South Korea where guns are easily available, and all hell breaks loose when a revenge-driven man, on the edge of death with a terminal illness, decides to flood the country with illegal firearms. It theme of the show alone serves as a warning and leans hard into the kind of turmoil South Korean screens rarely show. Even though the series didn't get much attention at first, it slowly became a critic's favourite too and one of the rare K-dramas to receive a Rotten Tomatoes score. For now, it has a 100% rating. The massive global reaction just proves how strong K-dramas still are for the platform. Netflix has already been stepping up its K-content game, moving beyond the usual rom-coms and exploring more psychological, thriller, and action-driven stories. I regret it. I hope that such things do not happen in the future,' adding that 'the connection between this incident and Trigger is a different issue.' Vaibhav Raj Gupta, best known for his endearing portrayal of Annu Bhaiya in the TVF show 'Gullak', has taken a dark, daring detour with Netflix's 'Mandala Murders'. As Vikram Singh, a deeply layered and emotionally bruised cop, Vaibhav sheds his old skin and plunges head-first into a character riddled with pain, guilt and raw vulnerability - and it's safe to say, he owns an exclusive chat with India Today, the actor opened up about why taking on 'Mandala Murders' scared him, how he used real-life baggage to build Vikram, and why this role marks a whole new chapter in his acting OUT OF THE 'ANNU BHAIYA' BOXAfter years of being synonymous with his character in 'Gullak' - Annu Bhaiya -, Vaibhav was keen to shake things up.
