Morgan Wallen's Remix Soars
Interest in 'Miami' exploded after it became a country/hip-hop hybrid. Sales of the track when it was last a solo tune numbered under 200 the week before the Wayne/Ross remix arrived. The following frame, it sold just under 4,000 copies in the U.S., according to Luminate. That's a growth of more than 2,700% from one frame to the next, and it's all thanks to the two hip-hop legends.
'Miami' Tops Country Digital Song Sales Chart
That massive growth in pure purchases helps 'Miami' become a bestseller on a handful of Billboard tallies focused entirely on purchases. The tune debuts at No. 1 on the Country Digital Song Sales chart this week. Wallen earns his eighteenth leader on that list, while both Wayne and Ross hit the top spot on the ranking for the first time.
Wallen has now sent 55 tracks to the list of the top-selling country-only cuts in the U.S., and 45 of those have reached the top 10.
The same tune, which credits all three musicians, opens inside the top 10 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart. 'Miami' begins at No. 9 there, where all three superstars collect another smash.
Streaming Success Fuels 'Miami'
'Miami' didn't just sell well following the exciting re-release, it also became a huge win on streaming platforms. The remixed tune, which still hasn't been pushed as a proper single from I'm the Problem, launches in the runner-up spot on the Country Streaming Songs chart, where Wallen blocks himself from ruling. 'What I Want,' his collaboration with Tate McRae, is still in charge 11 weeks into its lifespan on that roster.
The tune also reenters the all-genre Streaming Songs tally at No. 9 — a new all-time high — and it becomes a special top 10 for all involved.
New Peaks Across Multiple Billboard Charts
'Miami' doesn't hit the top 10 on the Hot 100, but it soars to No. 21 as it reenters the list of the most consumed songs in America. That's a new peak for the track, and all three musicians find their way to the tally.
'Miami' is also a new top 10 smash on the Hot Country Songs chart, leaping from No. 40, where it sat in its eighth stay, all the way to No. 5.
