THIS actress missed Oscars Best Actress but became World Most Beautiful Woman at 62, not her first time
The World's Most Beautiful Woman 2025 title goes to an actress who continues to shatter society's beauty standards. At 62, Demi Moore made it to People Magazine's 'Most Beautiful Woman' of 2025, surpassing Hollywood big names like Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, Scarlett Johansson, Beyonce, Jennifer Aniston and more.
Actor Demi Moore is one of the oldest to hold the most beautiful title.
She made a powerful comeback last year with her film, The Substance. The film fetched her an Oscar nomination as Best Actress and a Golden Globe, a Critics' Choice Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award win.
While Demi did not win the Academy Awards, she secured in the Most Beautiful Woman list of this year. She previously broke the internet with her transformation at 62.
Demi made it to the cover and opened up about her body image issues. She shared, 'I have a greater appreciation for all that my body has been through that brought me to now. It doesn't mean that sometimes I look in the mirror and don't go, 'Oh God, I look old,' or 'Oh, my face is falling' — I do. But I can accept that that's where I'm at today, and I know the difference today is that it doesn't define my value or who I am.'
The 62-year-old actor revealed she 'tortured' herself for the perfect body when she was young. She said she was 'really just punishing myself'. "Now I have a much more kind of intuitive, relaxed relationship with my body. I trust when it tells me it needs something to eat, that it's thirsty. I listen to my body today, and I have a lot less fear. When I was younger, I felt like my body was betraying me. And so I just tried to control it. And now I don't operate from that place. It's a much more aligned relationship," she added.
While Demi bagged the prestigious title, it is certainly not her first time in the list.
In 1996, she made it to the People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People.
In 2004, People placed her on ninth spot of their list of All-Time Most Beautiful Women.
Demi Moore began her career in the industry as a model. She made her film debut in 1981 and joined the cast of General Hospital as a teenager. She rose to fame with movies like Ghost. A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal and went on to become the world's highest-paid actress with her film, Striptease in 1996.
After starring in several key roles in the last few years, she marked her comeback in the lead role as Elisabeth Sparkle in The Substance.

Dakota Johnson stays silent on her breakup with Chris Martin
Washington DC [US], June 6 (ANI): Dakota Johnson preferred to stay silent on her recent breakup with Chris Martin during an appearance on the chat show 'Late Night With Seth Meyers'. Johnson spoke about her new movie 'Materialists', helmed by director and writer Celine Song, whom the actress said she was "obsessed" with after seeing her Oscar-nominated "Past Lives." Johnson and Meyers also playfully described the new film as a "rom-dramedy," reported Page Six. The silence came only one day after it was revealed that she and the Coldplay frontman had ended their relationship after nearly eight years. Johnson was photographed exiting The Greenwich Hotel in New York City before her late-night engagement. The "50 Shades of Grey" actress, 35, and singer, 48, started dating in 2017 and had an on-again, off-again romance for nearly eight years before calling it quits. The silence comes just one day after news broke that she and the Coldplay frontman split for good following nearly eight years together. The longtime couple shares a home in Malibu, where they were last photographed together in May, reported Page Six. In January, they were photographed happily holding hands during an outing in India, months after rumours suggested they had broken off their engagement and split. However, a representative said, "The reports are not true," adding, "They are happily together," according to Page Six. Sources previously confirmed in March 2024 that the couple had been engaged for years; however, they preferred to keep their relationship private. "They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official," a source informed. Johnson, whose parents are 80s icons Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, has rarely opened up about the relationship. But in March 2024, the actress shared how she felt about watching the singer perform. "I love watching him," she told Bustle at the time. "I could watch him every day. I don't know how to explain it. I feel like, I don't know... I'm watching my most favourite being do his most favourite thing." As for Martin's kids, Apple and Moses, whom he shares with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, she also shares a bond with them. "I love those kids like my life depends on it," Dakota told the outlet. "With all my heart," reported Page Six. (ANI)

Studio Ghiblis top five films
Japan's Oscar-winning anime house Studio Ghibli turns 40 this month. Here are the studio's top five films that have delighted fans over the decades: Studio Ghibli was founded in 1985, but this post-apocalyptic story featuring a young, independent princess curious about giant insects is considered its first film. It was based on a comic-strip series that Ghibli co-founder Hayao Miyazaki wrote for a magazine targeted at anime fans. Set 1,000 years after a war that destroyed human civilisation, the story takes place in a valley protected from toxic air emitted from poisonous forests. Miyazaki won critical acclaim and a cult following for the film about Nausicaa, who discovers the forests' secrets after getting embroiled in conflicts between countries trying to revive a lethal "giant warrior". This beloved Ghibli classic is set in the 1950s Japanese countryside where two young sisters with a sick mother move from the city. They encounter the cuddly yet mysterious forest spirit Totoro and Catbus, a 12-legged grinning cat with a hollow body in the form of a bus -- two characters who have become the Studio Ghibli mascots. The film was turned into a play for the first time by Britain's Royal Shakespeare Company in 2022. The tale of a girl raised by a wolf goddess in a forest threatened by humans was a smash hit in Japan and raised Miyazaki's profile internationally. A young prince on a journey to find a cure for his curse meets San, also known as Princess Mononoke -- meaning a spirit or monster in Japanese. The prince sets out to find ways to avoid wars between destructive humans and animal gods, centred around the ultimate god which is nature itself. Ghibli expert and Tufts University professor Susan Napier described "Princess Mononoke" to AFP as "serious, dark and violent". Miyazaki won his first Oscar with this film about a girl who gets lost in a mystical world of gods and spirits where she tries to save her parents, who are turned into pigs. In order to survive, 10-year-old Chihiro is told by a mysterious boy to get a job at an enormous Japanese bathhouse run by a witch. In a story infused with Japanese beliefs and traditions, Chihiro gains confidence through her work and solves the boy's curse before rescuing her parents. Miyazaki's second Oscar-winning film -- and likely the 84-year-old's last feature -- follows a boy struggling to accept his new life after his mother dies in the haunting fire-bombing of Tokyo during World War II. Everything changes when he meets a talking heron and embarks on a journey to an alternate universe, shared by the living and the dead, to find his missing stepmother. In a documentary, Miyazaki, visibly affected by the 2018 death of Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata, said the pair had had a "love-hate relationship" and that he had based the character of the grand-uncle on him.

Evan Engram embraces Sean Payton's 'Joker' role but says it's something he has to earn in Denver
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Don't call Evan Engram the 'Joker' just yet. The ninth-year tight end has embraced coach Sean Payton's vision of him as a versatile player who can create mismatches for Denver's offense, led by second-year QB Bo Nix. When he signed a two-year, $23 million deal in the spring, Engram took to X and posted a GIF of the late Heath Ledger's Oscar-winning performance as the Joker in 'The Dark Knight.' On Thursday, however, Engram said he still needs to earn the moniker. 'That is a cool thing to just embrace," Engram said. "Sean talks about it a lot. It was a big part of the pitch coming here. The fans are great here, so was just embracing that narrative a little bit. I definitely see that it is something that has to be earned with the way I work and the way that I learn the offense to gain the trust of Sean, Bo and the rest of the coaches and players. "I think we have a bunch of Jokers on this team, honestly, that can have a great role on this offense. It is definitely something that I like to embrace, but it is also something that I am going to earn, too.' Actually, Engram is probably the only member of the Broncos offense who fits Payton's description of the Joker. Last year, Payton described the Joker as 'either a running back or tight end with exceptional ball skills and then you can work matchups. We've had that at the running back . Reggie Bush was the Joker, Darren Sproles and Alvin Kamara. Those were all unique players, not just in the running game, but they had passing game skill sets that allowed you to do multiple things.' Payton was hoping tight end Greg Dulcich would turn into his Joker last season, but his propensity to drop passes squelched that notion and led to his release. So, Payton entered free agency this year intent on landing the traditional hallmark of his offense, and he did so when Engram signed with the Broncos after three seasons in Jacksonville and five with the New York Giants. Before Engram agreed to Denver's offer, Payton and the rest of the Broncos' brain trust had to sweat through Engram's subsequent visit with the AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers. 'Free agency is a crazy roller coaster,' said Engram, who was the 23rd overall pick by the Giants in 2017. 'I took a visit to LA. It's a great organization there, as well. I had a great visit with them, but the best place for me and my family was here in Denver. Just with the offense, the history here, the way the organization takes care of its players.' On Thursday, the final day of organized team activities open to the media, Engram ran routes with receivers, not tight ends, and he stood out for his fluidity and his jersey number. Asked why he chose No. 1, Engram said it was his number in high school. At Mississippi he wore No. 17, a number he revived with the Jaguars. So when the Broncos sent him a list of available numbers after he signed, he relayed the list to his family members, who all concurred he should wear No. 1 again. 'It's a cool thing just to reconnect to the glory days of high school football,' Engram said. The Broncos could be adding a veteran running back to their roster. Free agent J.K. Dobbins plans to visit Denver a week ahead of the team's mandatory minincamp. 'We'll have a chance to visit with him and then we'll see where it goes,' Payton said. 'We really like the group right now that we're working with. It's just another opportunity to possibly bring in another good football player to help us win." The Broncos drafted R.J. Harvey out of Central Florida in the second round of the NFL draft in April. He is viewed as a potential three-down back and leads a relatively young group of rushers that includes second-year pros Blake Watson and Audric Estime, third-year player Jaleel McLaughlin and fourth-year pro Tyler Badie. Dobbins gained a career-best 905 yards on 195 carries and tied his career high with nine rushing touchdowns last year with the Chargers despite missing four games with a sprained knee. If he signs, Dobbins could become a big contributor in the Broncos' backfield. The former second-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens has an extensive injury history, including an ACL tear in 2021 and a torn Achilles tendon in 2023. /hub/nfl
