Prince Harry thanks NYC tattoo artist for ‘handling of press' in personal letter: ‘Skillful dodging'
The Duke of Sussex, 40, was spotted visiting East Side Ink — a high-end custom shop frequented by A-listers — in September 2024.
It later emerged that while Harry didn't get any permanent artwork on his body during the brief visit, he did recruit Jelly Roll to headline the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.

Now, more than 9 months since the 'Spare' author's visit, tattoo artist and parlor owner Joshua Lord has shared the sweet letter he had received from Harry's office in a post on Instagram.
'Dear Josh, thank you so much for your generosity in offering us your space at East Side Ink for filming,' the duke's letter began.
'It was incredibly kind, and I really enjoyed meeting you and learning more about the history of your shop.'
In the letter, which was signed by the Invictus Games founder and dated October 17, 2024, Harry also praised Lord for his 'skillful dodging' of questions from the media.

'I also appreciated your artful handling of press questions regarding my visit, it means a lot and I was rather impressed by your skillful dodging! Well done.'
'They'll be in for a shock when they see the final cut,' Harry continued. 'Grateful for your partnership and support in service of the Invictus community.'
The letter also included a personal invitation from Harry to the 2025 Invictus Games, which were held in February.
'If you'd like to come to Vancouver in February, we'd love to have you! All the best, Harry,' it concluded.

In addition to a snap of the letter, Lord shared never-before-seen snaps of the duke during his visit to the tattoo parlor.
Several images showed the exiled royal with rapper Jelly Roll, which Lord captioned, 'Lord, Prince and Jelly.'
'ALSO my Royal 'thank you' letter naming me as the Skilful Dodger, which is a pretty good nickname, really,' he added, aptly soundtracking the post to 'Royals' by singer Lorde.
The tattooist did, however, make a slight blunder as he tagged the now-defunct @sussexroyal Instagram account, which Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, were forced to give up after quitting royal life in 2020.

Management for East Side Ink — where stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson have gotten ink — was tight-lipped about the duke's visit at the time.
'I can't confirm or deny anything,' shop owner Josh Lord told The Post. 'We treat all our customers as if they were royal, because to us they are. We always honor their privacy.'

King Charles Is Reportedly Still ‘Wary' of Harry As William Thinks His Brother's Reconciliation Efforts Are a ‘Big Mistake'
Reconciliation between King Charles and Prince Harry isn't a given, but there's no denying that the two have finally taken steps towards that possibility. Not so long ago, there was a meeting between aides from both camps, and recent reports indicate that Prince Harry is inviting his family to the next Invictus Games and that he wants Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their kids to be involved in his funeral. So, that's all positive. But that doesn't mean reconciliation is a given, or that everyone agrees. Prince William's aides were reportedly not present in the meeting, and the fact that there hasn't been any other public gesture likely means everyone is taking it slowly. British royals expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that the King wasn't fully convinced yet. But, however, he was willing to go along with it. More from StyleCaster Princess Anne Is 'Annoyed' at William Amid Reports He Plans to 'Overhaul' the Royal Family Once His Father Passes Diana Hauntingly Predicted a 'Difficult Path' for Harry Decades Before William Will Reportedly 'Never Ever' Forgive His Brother 'King Charles, while cautious and wary, might attend the Invictus Games,' Fordwich said. 'But of course, he prefers all private matters to remain private. In addition, there are many conflicts with the royal schedule, let alone Queen Camilla's 80th birthday during the games.' Related: Here's what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth She also added, 'For Harry, it's about what he can gain, while, for the royals, it's about what they have to lose,' Fordwich claimed. 'Harry wants to be included. He misses not only the U.K. but many aspects of royal privileges. However, he hasn't been successful in any of his endeavors. For the royals, more disclosures and scandals are concerning. They simply don't need… Harry around, particularly not Prince William, who is resolute regarding any reconciliation being a huge mistake.' This seems to corroborate previous reports that while King Charles might be eager for a reconciliation, William is not so sure. And that means he likely won't attend the Invictus Games, even if invited. Princess Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell, told 'I think that The King and the Prince of Wales have enough charity events to go to, so I think they wouldn't have to go to the Invictus Games.' He added, 'This is Harry's baby, not The King's and not William's. I think they shouldn't go to support Harry in this venture. This is Harry's concern, not theirs.' 'A public show of support, at this time, is probably not on the cards. I doubt whether William would embrace Harry in public at this moment in time, or even ever again,' he also said. The Mail on Sunday reported that Prince Harry was 'hopeful' his family would attend the next Invictus Games, which will take place in 2027 in the UK. 'Harry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family,' a source told the publication. 'Invictus hopes the Royal Family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part.' Considering the Invictus Games are still years away, a lot could happen before then. Whether that is a full reconciliation between King Charles and Prince Harry, one that can be showcased at the games, will be something to keep an eye on. And though it feels like a long shot at this time, there's enough time for even Prince Harry and Prince William to make up before then. Inside Harry's ‘Desperate' Attempts to Reconcile With the Royal Family Amid Reports He's Worried William Will ‘Literally Banish' Him Once He's King
Reconciliation between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the rest of the British Royal family feels closer than ever. At the very least, there has been movement on the front for the first time in a while. King Charles' aides met with Prince Harry's recently, and though Prince William's aides did not attend, Prince Harry's latest BBC interview indicates he's looking to reconcile with both his father and his brother. At the center of this possible reconciliation, the Invictus Games, which are set to take place in the UK in 2027. Recent reports indicate Prince Harry is set to extend an invitation to his family as a way to bridge the gap. But some people aren't convinced Prince William is ready to accept an olive branch. 'Harry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family,' a source told the outlet. 'Invictus hopes the Royal Family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part.' With a possible reconciliation in the cards, things might change quickly. But the fact that Prince William's aides weren't present as the King and Prince Harry's aides met indicates there are still fences to be mended there. Royal biographer Tom Bower recently told The Mirror, 'Harry is seriously worried that when his father dies one day, William will literally banish him and he will have no status in Britain at all. He will be persona non grata.' Bower also added that Prince Harry's 'desperate' to fix his relationship with King Charles. The Invictus Games might play into that, as he said that Harry 'needs a meeting with Charles to show he is part of the Royal Family and to establish his credibility in Britain. But as long as the Palace won't give him access to Charles, he can't take the first step. They suspect that the moment he meets Charles, he will use it to establish his credibility, because that's what he desperately needs, and that's also why he's kept away.' Prince William was reportedly not happy about the meeting that is being referred to as the first step for reconciliation between King Charles and Prince Harry. 'It's no coincidence that William and Catherine did not have a representative at the Royal Over-Seas League. They were not asked to send anyone, and will be treating the talks with extreme caution. The fact that it ended up in the newspapers tells you all you need to know,' a friend of William and Kate told the Daily Mail. This all seems pretty clear for now, but with two years to go, a lot could change from now until the next Invictus Games. Victoria Pedretti and Ethan DeLorenzo are engaged! On Monday, July 21, the You actress, 30, revealed that she and the photographer have taken the next step in their relationship. 'It's no secret I'm deeply in love or that I'm engaged to Ethan. I tell everyone I meet,' she captioned a joint Instagram post with her fiancé. Their upload began with a single, close-up shot of DeLorenzo standing outdoors during a sunset looking toward the camera. The photo that followed was an image of the couple smiling as they hugged, gazing into each other's eyes in a parking lot. Another picture showed their shadows as they spent more time outdoors. Ahead of their engagement news, DeLorenzo posted an Instagram carousel featuring Pedretti to his feed on March 6. 'i'd lay on the cliff side during the apocalypse with you any day… expired polaroid film 💜,' he captioned the two-photo upload, which showed the Haunting of Hill House actress standing outside on a sunny day. DeLorenzo was previously engaged to Jena Malone. He and the Hunger Games: Catching Fire actress, 40, are parents to a son named Ode Mountain. Before their son was born, Malone shared a tribute to DeLorenzo on social media, praising him for the journey ahead. 'Thank you for being the living, breathing definition of a true partner," she wrote at the time. "Your sacrifice and dedication to the ones you love. Your patience and humor. Your warm heart. Your (sic) the best man I've ever met and I can't wait to watch you become what you were destined to become, an amazing father.' Pedretti previously sparked romance rumors with her You costar Dylan Arnold. The pair played Love Quinn and Theo Engler, respectively, on the hit Netflix thriller series. Their characters entered into a dangerously flirty relationship with each other in season 3. When photos of Pedretti and Arnold, now 31, hanging out together surfaced online in November 2021, reps for the stars did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. "I do see them as soulmates," Pedretti said. "I think that they're uniquely capable of fulfilling each other's weaknesses, and their strengths are really there to support and uphold each other."
