‘People have information': Missing teen's mum makes bold claim as search enters 20th day
The mother of missing teenager Pheobe Bishop says she knows 'people have information' that needs to be reported to police, as the search enters its 20th day.
Kylie Johnson issued an emotional plea on Facebook on Wednesday stating she is 'starting day 20 with you still missing Phoebe'.
Ms Johnson's daughter, Phoebe Bishop, 17, has been missing since May 15, when the teenager failed to board a flight at Bundaberg Airport.
'I don't know if life will ever be the same again? I don't know if I will ever look at the world the same way that I did before May 15th,' she wrote.
'What I do know is that people have information on where you are Phee and we need that reported to police.'
Ms Johnson also shared a picture of Pheobe alongside a police appeal for information regarding her whereabouts or footage of a grey Hyundai ix35, with Queensland registration 414 EW3.
Police believe Pheobe was travelling in the Hyundai – owned by her housemate – to the airport before she suspiciously disappeared.
Ms Johnson has posted daily about the search for Phoebe, and has received comments from
vicious online trolls
.
'My posts aren't public to defend myself or react to negative comments. In fact negative comments also draw conversations and that's what we as a family need to bring Phee home,' she posted last week.
'Hell I will take any conversation if it has my baby walking down our driveway or calling any of us.
'So please don't be mad at the trolls. They have a role to play just like the amazing people who honestly just want our Phoebe home.'
The trolling spiked after Ms Johnson appeared in a video posted online by Queensland Police, appealing for information and expressing her distress, which prompted social media users to critically analyse her tone and demeanour.
'People wanted a statement, they got one yet still question me as a mother?,' Ms Johnson posted.
'If anyone would like to be in this position please step in and show me how to do this? Show me what a perfect parent looks like' she said, defending herself.
'Show me how to navigate this? Show me how to deal with the unknown and the uncertainty? Show me how to use perfect language and emotion in a situation that no parent ever wants to be in.'
Police and State Emergency Services (SES) spent five days searching nearby Good Night Scrub National Park for any sign of the missing teen, before the operation was suspended on Wednesday May 28.
Despite the search of the national park being suspended, police stressed the investigation was ongoing and they had 'other areas' of interest.
In a statement to SkyNews.com.au on Saturday, a Queensland Police spokesman said 'the greater Gin Gin area remains the focus of the investigation'.

Pheobe's Bishop's mother says her world has been 'shattered' after the 17-year-old's housemates were charged with her murder. Her remains are yet to be found and Kylie Johnson has begged anyone with information about Pheobe's final resting place to come forward. Queensland Police charged James Wood, 34, and Tamika Bromley, 33, with one count each of murder and two counts each of interfering with a corpse. Mr Wood had been initially taken into custody on Tuesday but was released without charge on Wednesday, before police formally charged him and Ms Bromley on Thursday. 'Our world has just been shattered into the most horrific place I've ever been…' Ms Johnson wrote in a social media post. 'I need my baby home to put her to rest! I'm absolutely begging anyone that knows anything to come forward. 'WE need to put her to rest, we need to put her to peace.' Pheobe's disappearance has gripped Australia for more than three weeks and made headlines around the world as police combed bushland and appealed to the public for help to find her. Mr Wood and Ms Bromley were living with Pheobe in a rundown, garbage-strewn house in the small Queensland town of Gin Gin when she vanished. The pair claimed they dropped her to Bundaberg airport in their grey Hyundai ix35 before she vanished on May 15. But police say CCTV at the airport proved she never made it. Hours before he was arrested on Tuesday, reports emerged of text messages allegedly sent by Mr Wood giving his version of events leading up to Pheobe going missing. He claimed Pheobe had been 'furious' when she slept through her 5am alarm on the day she was meant to fly out. 'She gets like that sometimes and usually we can calm her down but she was escalating and then she smashed the TV,' Mr Wood told the Daily Mail . He said on the way to the airport Pheobe got upset that she hadn't had time to put on makeup so they car pulled over less than a 1km from the airport entrance. Mr Wood said he and Ms Bromley went for a walk lasting between three and eight minutes to give Pheobe 'five minutes' to do 'what she needed to do'. When they returned, she was gone, Mr Wood claimed. Their Gin Gin house and their Hyundai were both declared crime scenes early on in the police investigation. The pair are due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday June 6.
