India & Italy agree to deepen ties in aerospace, agri, energy transition
energy transition
, agriculture, and global connectivity initiatives such as the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), the government said on Friday.
"India and Italy resolved to strengthen cooperation in agriculture and food processing, and to set up joint working groups in the automobile and space sectors," the commerce and industry ministry said in a statement.
The countries identified collaboration opportunities in sustainable agri value chains, agri machinery, food packaging technologies, and renewable energy, and agreed to work together in areas such as green hydrogen and biofuels.

The two leaders co-chaired the 22nd session of the India-Italy Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation (JCEC), the ministry said.

Held annually on Aug 6, the event celebrates her remarkable life, legacy, and contributions, continuing to inspire future leaders. A native of Visakhapatnam and a distinguished alumna of IIM Ahmedabad, Vani Row was a globally respected consultant and investment banker who left an indelible mark in both India and the United States before her untimely demise. As US President Donald Trump seeks to end the Russia-Ukraine war, he could meet in person with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin as soon as next week, a White House official said Wednesday (August 6, 2025). The White House official, however, did not confirm the schedule of the meeting yet and cautioned that no location has been determined.
