Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], June 10 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership on the completion of 11 years in office, stating that India has emerged as a major global power under his tenure.
Speaking at the press conference, CM Dhami said, 'Today, India is a major global power. The entire world sees India with hope. These 11 years of PM Modi will be written in golden words...'
CM further added, 'Post Independence, the people had hope from the government, but to realise that hope, it's PM Modi who has worked in the last 11 years with a motto of 'sab ka saath, sab ka vikas, sab ka prayas'...'
PM Modi first took oath as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014, and is serving his third consecutive term.
Marking the occasion, the Union government also released a comprehensive e-book detailing achievements across various sectors over the past 11 years. The year 2025 marks 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
The book said that these 11 years have been dedicated to bringing about inclusive, progressive, and sustainable development. 'The government under Prime Minister Modi has been steadfast in its commitment to creating equity and opportunity for all citizens,' it added. 'PM Modi has brought the politics of development - Vikasvaad - into the mainstream, making it the focal point around which political discourse and policy action now revolve,' it reads.
The book said that since assuming office in 2014, PM Modi has remained firm in his resolve to keep 'India First' in every policy formulation and action. It added that the resolve is evident in the government's handling of both external and internal security, economic management, empowerment schemes for marginalised groups, efforts at cultural conservation and so on.
The book highlighted the government's steps in handling COVID-19: 'Prime Minister Modi's government has always believed in setting challenging targets and achieving them before the set deadline. This can be seen across sectors, whether it is in vaccinating the entire eligible population in record time against Covid-19, recording the nation's highest ever exports in history, in the digital revolution which is taking place across India, in achieving monumental targets for rural electrification, in building world-class infrastructure or in providing drinking water facilities across households.

The United Nations declared June 21st as International Yoga Day, an acknowledgement of the global recognition of the heritage.
It also mentioned Operation Sindoor, describing it as a demonstration of a new India--resolute, swift, and sovereign in action. 'India's assertion on the global stage has also undergone a remarkable evolution. The success of Operation SINDOOR demonstrated a new India--resolute, swift, and sovereign in action.'
The book is a comprehensive compendium about India's transformation under PM Modi's 'visionary leadership across fourteen facets of policymaking, ranging from infrastructure to foreign policy to social justice'.
The book has 14 chapters, highlighting developmental aspects in different social, technological and educational sectors. It also noted the government's efforts to lift the marginalised class and different sections of society. (ANI)

On June 9, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had urged Siddaramaiah in his letter to reconsider the state government's decision to increase the height of Almatti dam, claiming that the rise in dam height would result in floods in areas of Sangli and Kolhapur districts. In his letter to his Maharashtra counterpart written on June 11, Siddaramaiah expressed his government's commitment to increase the dam height. He clarified his government's stand not only on the submergence issues but also on its right to raise Almatti dam height to FRL (Full Reservoir Level) 524.256 M even without waiting for the publication of the award by the Union government under Section 6(1) of the Inter State Water Dispute Act of 1956.

11 years of Modi govt: Infra revolution boosting 'ease of living', says PM
The Union government and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled state governments on Wednesday continued to highlight the achievements of the 11 years of the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) dispensation, with the Prime Minister posting on social media details of the 'infrastructure revolution' during this period. "It's been 11 years of infrastructure revolution with outstanding infrastructure being added that has enhanced India's growth trajectory," Modi said on X. From railways to highways, ports to airports, India's rapidly expanding infrastructure network is boosting 'Ease of Living' and enhancing prosperity, he said. In another post, Modi said: 'India's push for next-gen infrastructure is powered by sustainability and long-term vision.' It is laying the foundations of a self-reliant India, he said. In a document prepared by the newly launched Press Information Bureau (PIB) Research, the government also pointed to the efficacy of the Pragati (pro-active governance and timely implementation) platform, which was put in place 10 years ago, in fast-tracking of infrastructure projects. It said the most recent meeting of Pragati, which the PM chairs, took place on May 29. This was its 47th meeting since its inception in March 2015. The government said since its launch, over 363 projects have been reviewed under the Pragati initiative, which enables the PM to directly engage with the secretaries of the government and chief secretaries of states via videoconferencing. The government also highlighted the external challenges that it has faced — whether in its response to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism with the Uri surgical strike in 2016, the Balakot air strike of 2019, and Operation Sindoor in 2025 — and how it has dealt with challenges of internal security, such as the threat of Naxalism. In Raipur, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the PM's target of uprooting Naxalism by March next year is being fulfilled. In Chhattisgarh, 425 Maoists have been neutralised, 1,443 arrested, 1,388 others have surrendered in the last one-and-a-half years, Sai said. 'Our security forces have broken the backbone of Maoism by neutralising top Naxalites like Basavaraju and Sudhakar,' he said. He said the number of deaths during the Covid pandemic, recently released data has shown, was much more than what the government had claimed. The delimitation of seats and women's reservation will have to be based on the Census-2027 data, and a delimitation commission will have to be set up for the purpose. The Centre, on June 4, announced that the Census will be completed by March 1, 2027, and include enumeration of castes. However, there has been skepticism whether the data would be available in time for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. The provisional data for the 2011 Census was released on March 31, 2011, 25 days after its population enumeration phase ended, while the final data was released two years later on April 30, 2013. However, the government is hopeful of completing the process of delimitation by the 2029 polls since the Census-2027 will be the first digital Census, where enumerators will enter data into apps that it can process in real-time, facilitating quicker publication of datasets.
