Currently portraying the role of Kairi, a young and ambitious lawyer opposite Shabir Ahluwalia's Yug, Ashi's on-screen chemistry has already become a talking point among fans.
Recalling the magical moment, Ashi shared, 'There's something very pure about the first rain — it feels like the world slows down for a moment. The first rain instantly transports me to my childhood — those carefree days of dancing in the rain, paper boats, and mom scolding me for getting drenched.
There's something magical about Mumbai monsoons.'
Interestingly, the showers arrived just as Ashi was shooting an outdoor scene. 'This time we were shooting outdoors for Ufff… Yeh Love Hai Mushkil when the drizzle started. Drawing parallels with her character, Ashi added, 'It reminded me so much of my character Kairi. She finds beauty in the simplest things, and I think that's what makes her special. I'm someone who absolutely loves chai, music, and the smell of wet earth — and when all of that came together on a shoot day, it just felt surreal. It's one of those moments you want to relive again and again.'

Exclusive: Ufff… Yeh Love Hai Mushkil's Ashi Singh on returning to TV for two years; says ‘Whatever shows were offered, I didn't like them that much'
After a two-year break from television, Ufff… Yeh Love Hai Mushkil marks Ashi Singh 's much-awaited return to the small screen. In an exclusive conversation with Times of India TV, Ashi opened up about her hiatus, explaining that she chose to step back as the right kind of roles were not coming her way. "I was working on other projects and in TV I did not actually get anything very interesting. Whatever shows were offered to me, I didn't like them that much that I wanted to do them," Ashi shared candidly. "I know there is a lot of content on TV which I might not want to do and I am not comfortable doing. But then whatever work I have done, I really found it very good. Whatever characters I got on TV, I know that people don't get to do in films. So I feel and consider myself to be very lucky that way." For Ashi, television has always been a medium that has given her substantial characters. "So for me, TV was never down or up. It was always here, it got me whatever I have." Now back with Ufff… Yeh Love Hai Mushkil, Ashi plays Kairi Sharma, a spirited and ambitious young woman from a middle-class Delhi family, who aspires to become a lawyer while staying true to her family values. On why she said yes to the show, Ashi said, 'My character and definitely the take of the story which is quite different. We are trying that it should be interestingly different with emotions, fun, conflict, love, and family drama, so every age group can connect to the show. ' Starring opposite Shabir Ahluwalia, who plays the complex Yug, Ashi's return promises a refreshing on-screen dynamic and an emotionally rich storyline for audiences to enjoy.

Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil: Yug crosses paths with Kairi; tries to create troubles for her
Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil focuses on Advocate Yug Sinha (Shabir Ahluwalia), a brooding lawyer from Delhi, who lives with his three brothers. Haunted by a painful past filled with betrayal, Yug harbors a deep resentment towards women — so much so that he offers a 50% discount on legal cases involving women, not as a gesture of goodwill, but out of sheer disdain. Opposite him is Kairi Sharma ( Ashi Singh ), a spirited and independent young woman, juggling her responsibilities while caring for her three siblings. Kairi's path crosses with Yug when she receives an eviction notice from their landlord, who happens to be Yug's client. Surprisingly, Kairi manages to win the case against Yug, leaving him humiliated and determined to get back at her. His petty revenge includes cutting off her water supply and framing her for subsequent disturbances, pushing Kairi into a desperate situation where she's unable to pay the penalty imposed on her. Just when it seems like Kairi has reached her breaking point, destiny takes an unexpected turn. Yug's mother, Mayari (Supriya Shukla), sees a glimpse of her late daughter Lata in Kairi. Moved by the connection, she persuades Yug to take Kairi into their home — setting the stage for a complicated living arrangement filled with tension, witty banter, and emotional undercurrents. Speaking about his character, Shabir Ahluwalia shared, 'Yug is a complex character — he's built walls around himself because of his past, and the idea of having someone like Kairi in his space really shakes him. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? Yug's journey with Kairi is going to surprise him as much as it surprises the audience. Viewers can expect a rollercoaster of emotions, witty clashes, and unexpected moments of connection. ' Ashi Singh added, 'Kairi is someone who never backs down, no matter how tough life gets. Landing up in the house of a man who openly hates women is the last thing she expected, but that's where her strength and resilience will really shine. This track is going to be fun, emotional, and full of sparks between Yug and Kairi.' As their conflicting worlds collide, Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil promises an engaging rollercoaster of emotions, misunderstandings, and unexpected moments of connection.
