Driver pulled out of car after crashing into a building in Everett
The driver had to be pulled out of the car after it crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a building in Everett.
Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, police and fire crews from Everett answered the call that happened on 1932 Broadway.
According to the news release, the car was going north on Broadway when it crossed into oncoming traffic, hit a light pole and crashed into Althea's Footwear Solutions store.
Crews had to stabilize the building before they could get to the driver.
The store was closed at the time of the crash and the driver was the only person affected.
Using the 'Jaws of Life', firefighters worked for about 50 minutes to pull the driver out.
The driver had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in stable condition.
Everett police are investigating the cause and Everett Public Works was on the ground to check the condition of the building.
Snohomish PUD arrived to fix the damaged light pole.

One person hurt after car crashes into Everett business
The Everett Fire Department says an 80-year-old man was hurt after crashing their car into Althea's Footwear. It happened Sunday around 3:00 p.m. on Broadway. Firefighters say the car was headed north when the driver crossed into oncoming traffic, hit a light pole, and went through the south wall of the business. The business was closed at the time of the crash. Firefighters say the driver became trapped inside the car, so they had to use the 'Jaws of Life' to pull him out. It took crews almost an hour to free the man. The driver was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center and is expected to be okay. A structural engineer from Everett Public Works showed up to assess the safety of the building, and Snohomish PUD responded for the damaged light pole. What we know The crash happened just before 2 p.m., at the intersection of Loma Vista Road and N. Victoria Avenue in Ventura. Police and fire crews were called to the intersection after reports of a crash. When they got there, they found a pickup truck and an SUV had crashed. The pickup truck was on its side. The two people inside the truck were able to get out on their own, according to the Ventura City Fire Department. The SUV, however, had smashed in between a retaining wall and a car in a driveway, pinned. Two people were trapped in the SUV in critical condition, officials said. Fire crews had to stabilize the car and then use the Jaws of Life to pull the two people out. It took the team under half an hour to pull the two people out. Paramedics took all four people to the hospital. What we don't know The four victims' conditions were unknown on Saturday evening. Officials haven't said what might have caused the crash.
