Buzz Feed20-07-2025
A scrunchie/towel hybrid so cute, it'll become a daily staple. Not to mention, it helps your hair dry faster *without* heat tools. You can easily do your skincare and makeup while your locks dry — heck, you could even run errands with it in. Add to cart!!!
A bright and cheery fruit bowl that might *look* like nothing more than a cute piece of decor but guess what, it has a hidden colander! Use it to wash and store your fruit. Now that's what I call practical.
A crack weeder tool to help obliterate those ever-resilient weeds that manage to grow through the cracks in concrete! This sturdy tool can get into those tight spaces and get rid of weeds, moss, and thistles in no time.
OPI RapiDry Quick Dry Nail Polish, because have you ever tried to hurry through an at-home mani only to be left with 10 fingers full of nothing but smudges and ripples? This stuff will come to your rescue the next time you're rushing through your nail routine and need a *true* fast-drying polish — I'm talking 60 seconds fast, people. You're welcome.
A pair of fan light pull cords with some big "why didn't I think of that?" energy. You'll never have to guess whether you're pulling the cord for the light or the fan! These also add a good foot of length to your pulls, which is *extra* helpful for the shorties out there.
Limited edition wildflower Band-Aids — nothing adds insult to injury like an ugly peach bandage you can't wait to take off. Swap out the boring ones for these, which will make your next boo-boo seem like a happy accident.
A curved SPF 50 Airy Sunstick Smoothing Bar, which is a Korean skincare product that'll make you *excited* about the SPF step in your daily routine. The contoured stick covers a wide area so it's easy to apply without any mess. It also goes on smooth and won't leave a sticky residue OR white cast. If you want a lightweight, semi-matte SPF that plays well with makeup, look no further.
A ~brilliant~ and bendable neck reading light bookworms will love — now you can read in the dark without straining your eyeballs or turning on the dreaded BIG light. It's rechargeable with adjustable brightness settings and can go for 80 hours before needing a charge! No regrets with this impulse buy.
A pair of Beckham Hotel Collection pillows — who doesn't love hotel-quality comfort that comes with a budget-friendly price tag? Your head's about to feel like it's floating on a fluffy cloud. You may even struggle to get outta bed in the morning, so sorry in advance.
And a set of moisture-wicking, double-brushed microfiber sheets beloved by literally thousands of reviewers thanks to the ~luxe~ quality and next-level comfort they provide. They have a heavenly cooling effect for anyone who LIVES for the feeling of slidin' into an icy-cool bed without immediately overheating.
A 2-in-1 salad pod you can use to mix your greens, add-ins, and dressing, but wait, you can ALSO eat directly from it! This can help cut down on dirty dishes, and it's great for taking lunch on the go. It also comes with a leakproof integrated dressing capsule that sits snugly on top of the container to prevent spills.
A set of solar-powered pathway lights with three light modes to prevent you from stumbling around in the dark after a looong day spent enjoying your outdoor space. They'll automatically turn on at night and turn off at sunrise, which is the best kinda practical because it does the work for you!
A set of slide-out cabinet organizers — it'll help you take charge of the cluttered situation under your sink that's been haunting you. These trusty organizers will help you use the space available to get organized ASAP!
A darling, nonslip waterproof shelf liner when you wanna take pride in your fridge game rather than quickly slamming the door shut so nobody can get a peek inside. These can also be used in drawers, cabinets, and pantries!
An ~aesthetic~ 2-in-1 cooler side table if you've been anxiously waiting the arrival of backyard gathering season. Mark my words, everyone will marvel at your brilliance for having a chic side table that also happens to double as a massive cooler for ice-cold refreshments. How useful!
Eos' Cashmere Skin Collection Shave Oil you won't stop raving about after trying it, which is likely the same reaction you had to the internet-famous Eos body lotion. Now it's available in a shave oil that smells just as delicious and will help protect your skin from bumps and burns, aka a summer must-have. Even reviewers with sensitive skin swear by it.
A Lululemon-esque longline sports bra perfect for lounging, exercising, and everything in between. It's both comfy and supportive, so you can wear it solo OR as a base layer depending on what summer activity you'll be getting into. Reviewers say it's just as good (if not better!) than the expensive version.
A rechargeable *heated* ice cream scoop that you'll praise until the end of time because it means you no longer have to arm wrestle with a regular scoop to get your sweet treat fix. Simply grip to active and you'll cut right into your fave frozen treat rather than microwaving it OR letting it sit out on the counter. It quickly heats up to 158 degrees, and the handle displays the temperature too!
A pack of antibacterial paper soap sheets so the next time you find yourself in a public bathroom with the dreaded no-soap-anywhere situation, you'll be fully prepared. Just grab a sheet, add water, and rub your hands together to create a foamy lather! I predict you'll keep around the house *and* in your bag at all times.
A cheese keeper because apparently some people don't eat an entire block of gouda in one sitting?? Couldn't be me. Cheeseheads will absolutely love it — this prevents it from drying out while letting it breathe so it lasts longer. What's more practical than a cute container that helps prolong the life of your precious cheese?
A cheeky doorbell cover to let everyone know exactly how you feel about them ringing the bell at inopportune moments. Whether you just put the kiddo down for a nap or you simply don't have it in you to deal with solicitors, this will get the message across without having to open the door.
Some hair tie bracelets when you reserve your wrists for jewelry, which usually leaves you up the creek without a scrunchie. Not anymore! These clever hair ties double as wrist candy so you don't have to worry about going without in the name of fashion! Buyer's remorse who??
A weighted eye mask if sleep isn't exactly your strong suit. Fear not, this thing has *literally* got you covered. It'll help reduce stress so you can fall asleep quickly and actually enjoy a restful snooze for a change. The 3D contour features a hollowed-out design so they won't rest heavily on top of your delicate eyeballs.
A bookmark book tracker for anyone who gets immense satisfaction from crossing off lists and checking boxes. You'll see it every time you read and be extra motivated to get through your TBR (to be read) stack.
A Grim Steeper silicone tea infuser because some of us only come alive once we've had our fave herbal tea. Fill the Grim Steeper with loose-leaf tea and hang it off the rim of your mug. It can easily be rinsed clean *and* it's dishwasher and microwave safe.
A hands-free bladeless personal fan — you should be able to cool down instantly *without* your arm falling off from holding a fan in front of your face. It has three speeds and sits comfortably around your neck to blow cool air at your face as soon as the sweat hits. Camping, hiking, music festivals, and beach days got nothin' on you. 😎
A faux book display to conceal messy outlets, cables, and other eyesores for a clean, organized vibe that make this a perfectly practical impulse buy. You won't mind having everyone comment on your impressive "book" collection either.
An ~invisible~ push-up bra for a boob upgrade that's backless, strapless *and* wireless. This is great if you wanna quit underwire but have an entire wardrobe of tops and dresses that don't work well with standard bras. It has a buckle closure in the front to give you proper support without any annoying straps.
A Simple Modern rubber tote bag, aka a match made in heaven for all the upcoming summer outings you have planned, whether it be at the park, on the beach, or on a boat! It can hold tons of stuff and is made of durable EVA material with comfy straps that make it easy to tote around. You even get a removable zipper pouch for essentials you wanna keep close, like your phone and keys. This is giving major Bogg Bag vibes but for much less.
A Dash rapid egg cooker when you love eggs but despise how long it takes to get them just right, aka perfect. Whether you're a fan of hard-boiled, scrambled, or poached, the possibilities are endless and you'll actually be excited to cook 'em. Viral Carrot Salad (TikTok) — Review & Recipe

Every week, without fail, I buy a five-pound bag of organic carrots. Even if we have barely made a dent in the previous week's carrots, I click 'add to cart' like it's my job. Ok, maybe it is kind of my job as a dietitian and a recipe developer, but you get it! While I serve salads every night with dinner, I often look for lettuce-free salads that don't wilt, are even better the next day (because no one wants limp lettuce for leftovers!), and use up what I have in the fridge. That's why I was so excited to stumble across Cassie Yeung's viral carrot salad on TikTok. With over 19.9 million views, I knew I had to try it. This salad is similar to Korean Carrot Salad, or Morkovcha, thought to have come about when Koreans in the Soviet Union couldn't find ingredients to make their traditional dishes, like kimchi. Instead, they used what they could find to make a carrot salad that was vinegary, based on Korean banchan — small dishes typically served with rice. Since Cassie's video first went viral earlier this year, many have made their own versions of this dish: some using maple syrup and fish sauce, others with added honey and lime. Even Cassie made a different version using raw red onions, dill, garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, lemon, and Calabrian chili. It reminds me of a carrot salad I often make with grated carrots, Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, honey, parsley, and sunflower seeds. Many other influencers have tried their hand, from Basic with Bails, and Baked by Melissa, Kale Junkie, and publishers from Eating Well and Real Simple; each adding their own spin to the dish — and they all love it. Hey, you! Wanna cook thousands of easy recipes on your phone in step-by-step mode — with helpful video tutorials? Download the free Tasty app right now. For the purposes of this post, I followed Cassie's original recipe. She starts by using a vegetable peeler to thinly shave the carrots into ribbons. While she doesn't give exact measurements, I spied around eight or nine carrots, so I tried to do the same. Spoiler, I had only seven carrots left. While using the peeler is easy, I always find a way to cut myself when using it in a hurry, so I took my time with these carrots. I cut vegetables all day long, but I always manage to hurt myself using a peeler, go figure! I ended up with these funky-shaped carrots. Not sure how to add them, I snacked on a couple, and threw the rest into the freezer to make into vegetable stock later. And then my dog begged for one, proceeded to take it onto the couch, and stain the couch. A problem for another day! I added a couple of roughly chopped green onions along with sesame seeds. I only have black sesame seeds, so feeling fancy, I threw a tablespoon of those in as well. Finally, I grated a clove of garlic (I spy my favorite kitchen tool, the zester/microplane!). Let this be your sign to a) buy a zester, and b) stop using jarred minced garlic. If I had fresh ginger, that would be a delicious addition as well. Cassie's dressing is simple, albeit measured with her heart. It's simply sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili crisp, which you gently massage into the carrot ribbons. She was smart to use a glove, because my hands might smell like sesame oil for the next week. I added a healthy amount of chili crisp on top. I've recently lost my ability to eat spicy food, so I went for a mild chili crisp for a little added flavor and crunch. At this point, it kind of looks like my 'carrot lox' I make. In Cassie's video, she claims that she's eating her skincare, as carrots are good for hormonal health. Judging by her beautiful, dewy glow, I'd buy just about any skin care she was selling. Carrots are indeed good for overall health, including skin health. They are full of nutrients like beta-carotene (which converts to Vitamin A). Beta-carotene can help the skin prevent damage from UV radiation and free radicals. They are also a good source of vitamins C and E. While any vegetables are going to be beneficial to your health, I'd still lather up with your favorite sunscreen — don't just rely on those carrots! She eats hers right out of the bowl with chopsticks, and never wanting to add a dirty dish to the pile, I did the same. This was a part of my lunch, so I also added some baked tofu on top for added protein. Cassie's friends apparently laugh at her for craving vegetables, but if all carrots tasted like this… I would, too! This might be my new favorite way to use up those leftover carrots. I might add cucumber ribbons to my salad next time, along with some mint or cilantro and a sliced avocado to make it more filling. All in all, this is going to be on my vegetable rotation!
