The prestigious 32nd edition of the UAE President's Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses is all set to begin this Sunday at the historic Ksar Said Racecourse in Tunisia.
This highly anticipated event marks the start of another exciting chapter in the renowned series, celebrating the heritage and excellence of Purebred Arabian racing on an international stage.
It will be held under the patronage and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
This season's UAE President's Cup Series boasts a prize pool exceeding Dhs15 million, cementing its status as the most valuable and sought-after series in the history of Purebred Arabian horse racing.
This reflects the wise leadership's commitment to developing the sport, supporting owners and breeders worldwide.
The Tunisian leg of the race will host 15 top contenders from Tunisia and North Africa, aged four and above, competing in a Group 1 race over a 2000m dirt track.
With a prize of TND 500,000, it stands as one of the most lucrative races in Tunisia's horse racing calendar. Leading the pack are Libyan horses Hatim (TM Fred Texas) and Lasvegas, alongside strong competitors such as Irak, Izmir, Jaloud Carthage, Joussour El Arab, Kaser, Khaddem, nafe'eh, Nar Shalgoda, Nahr Ennil, and Bosse de Salute.
The Supreme Organizing Committee of the UAE President's Cup Series had earlier announced the 2025 race calendar, which includes 17 races across Europe, the UK, Turkey, Arab countries, the US, and Russia.
The 2025 UAE President's Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses kicks off in Tunisia on April 20, setting the stage for a thrilling international tour. The action continues in Morocco on April 26, offering a prize of €250,000, followed by France on May 11 with an impressive €350,000 purse. The series then crosses the Atlantic to the United States on May 17, where a $200,000 prize is up for grabs.
The momentum carries on with the Italian leg on May 18, presenting €300,000 in prize money, followed by Sweden on June 6 with €100,000. Germany hosts its round on July 6, offering €250,000, while the Netherlands welcomes competitors on August 3 with €100,000.
Spain joins the calendar on August 15 with a €200,000 prize, ahead of Russia on August 30, offering $100,000. Belgium takes the spotlight on September 2 with €200,000, followed by Turkey on September 7 with $250,000 in prizes. England hosts one of the richest legs on September 13, with a remarkable £400,000 purse.
The journey continues to Poland on September 28 with €200,000, then heads to Egypt on October 25 with Dhs500,000 in rewards. Libya follows closely on October 26, raising the stakes with Dhs1 million. The season concludes in Saudi Arabia in November, offering a generous prize of SAR1.5 million.

He added: 'The newly implemented initiatives for the 2025 season reflect the prestigious standing of the UAE President's Cup and the leadership's dedication to furthering the presence of Arabian horses on the world stage. These efforts aim to support owners, breeders, and stables, encouraging them to raise the quality of production and develop top competitors each season.'
He also extended his gratitude to Tunisia for their extensive preparations in hosting the 32nd edition, noting the country's strong record in producing champions and its significant role in the Arab horseracing scene.
Rahmani emphasized the strong interest and participation from horse owners in Tunisia and North Africa, indicating a promising and competitive start to the new season.

The event included qualifying rounds for yearling colts and fillies, as well as two- and three-year-old categories, in addition to mares and stallions. The competition concluded with the final championships for each category.

With its continued expansion across Europe's top racecourses, the UAE President's Cup once again impressed with its high-caliber presence, drawing praise from the Dutch racing community. The Cup has earned the distinction of hosting the richest Arabian horse race in Dutch history, offering a prize purse of US$100,000. The race, contested over 2,150 metres, featured 11 elite entries from leading stables across Europe and was open to horses aged four years and above, under Group 3 classification. Afjan (TM Fred Texas × Muzoon), rated 111, trained by J. de Mieulle Grijs and ridden by Olivier d'Andigné, made a stunning late charge from the back of the field to overtake Al Zeer (Al Mamun Monlau × Assma Al Khalediah) by a neck in a dramatic finish. Al Zeer, owned by M.F.A.H. Al-Attiyah, was trained by F. Rohaut Blauw and ridden by G. Guedj-Gay. Third place went to Ska de L'Aigle (Al Mourtajez × Sia), owned by M. Bousaif, trained by F. Rohaut Tot, and ridden by Jean Bernard Eyquem. Afjan completed the race in a time of 2:21.02 minutes, securing one of the most exciting wins in the event's Dutch history. The event was attended by Ameirah Obaid Mohamed Obaid AlHefeiti, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Faisal Al Rahmani, Secretary-General of the Higher Organising Committee of the UAE President's Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, who presented the trophies to the winners. Musallam Al Ameri, Member of the Higher Organising Committee, stated, 'We take pride in the elevated competitive standing of the UAE President's Cup Series, which continues to achieve outstanding success on a global scale. The Netherlands stage saw elite participation from top stables across Europe, which significantly raised the level of competition. The intense speed and strength throughout the race underscore the effort all owners are putting into being part of this prestigious classic series.' He added, 'These achievements are a direct result of the generous support and strategic vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, who has consistently championed the development of Arabian horse racing on the world stage.
