One diehard admirer lamented missing the moment on TV, writing, 'IPL Cameraman, you had one job and I am sorry to say you didn't do your job well. Why is this footage not in one of many broadcaster cameras? Why is this found on social media and not on the stadium cameras?"

Meanwhile, on the personal front, Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma has been out of the public eye for a while. But fans are eagerly awaiting her return with Chakda Xpress, a biopic on cricket legend Jhulan Goswami. Produced by Anushka herself, the film has completed its shoot, though the release date is still under wraps.

‘Ornaments worth Rs 1 lakh stolen from my daughter's body,' says mother of 13-year-old Bengaluru Stadium stampede victim
The mother of a teenage girl who died in a stampede at the Bengaluru cricket stadium on June 4, during a celebration of the Indian Premier League (IPL) victory of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has filed a police complaint stating that jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh which her daughter was wearing at the time of incident was missing when her body was handed over to the family. Ashwini Shivakumar, 35, the mother of Divyanshi B S, 13, the youngest of 11 victims in the stadium stampede, on Thursday lodged a police complaint stating that her daughter's body still had a pair of gold earrings and a chain when it was taken to the Bowring Hospital on the evening of June 4. It has been stated that at the time of receiving the body of the teenager, the family had not noticed the absence of the gold ornaments, and it was only later realised. The complaint has suggested that the ornaments were stolen at the mortuary. 'There is a lot of sentimental value attached to the ornaments as a sign of what was worn by my daughter in her last moments,' the Yelahanka resident has stated while seeking an investigation. 'She wanted to see him (Virat Kohli) up close. Her wish cost her her life,' Divyanshi's mother had stated after her death. Class 9 student Divyanshi was a dancer and wanted to become a veterinarian doctor, her mother said. 'She was a very mature person. In fact, she used to inspire me on how to handle situations in life,' Shivakumar added. 'Not just Virat Kohli, she knew the achievements of Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, and even other players,' Shivakumar, who had accompanied her daughter to watch the RCB felicitation at Chinnaswamy Stadium, had said a day after the death.

Who was Ziad Rahbani? All about his life, career as tributes pour in for Lebanese composer
Ziad Rahbani, one of Lebanon's most influential composers, playwrights, and cultural voices, passed away at the age of 69. The hospital in Beirut where he was being treated confirmed that he died of a heart attack on Saturday, July 26. The eldest son of legendary Lebanese singer Fairuz and renowned musician Assi Rahbani, Ziad was a creative force whose works reshaped Lebanon's musical and theatrical landscape, especially during the country's civil war era, reported Khaleej Times. Lebanese Minister of Culture Dr Ghassan Salame, in a statement, revealed that Rahbani had recently begun to reject medical treatment for his deteriorating health. Salame, in his message on X (formerly Twitter), expressed deep sorrow over his death and wrote, 'We dreaded this day… Ziad no longer had the ability to imagine the treatment and the surgeries it would require.' Lebanese President Joseph Aoun hailed him as a 'defiant voice against injustice' and a 'true mirror for the oppressed'. His debut play Sahriyyeh (An Evening Gathering) marked the beginning of his prolific career in theater. Through his works like Nazl Al-Sourour, Bema Inno, and A Long American Film, he boldly addressed Lebanon's political and social struggles with biting wit and satire. Rahbani's symphonies were distinguished by intervention and scathing critique. With this grinding jumble of classical, jazz, and oriental, a stir was introduced into the Lebanese arts scene. The theater pieces and songs he wrote for the marginalized speak of the frustrations, hopes, and comic views of everyday people.
