CCTV released of suspected Lowestoft storage firm arsonist

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with a large fire at a removals and storage company.Fire crews from Norfolk and Suffolk were called to Britannia Alan Cook, on Pinbush Road in Gisleham, Lowestoft, at about midnight on 8 June.Suffolk Police said it was treating the incident at the family-owned business as arson and has appealed for witnesses."Officers have studied CCTV footage that show a man acting suspiciously climbing over a fence of the premises and [he] is seen on or near containers," a spokesperson said.
About 15 fire vehicles went to the incident. People living nearby were advised to keep windows and doors closed because of the smoke. No-one was inside but customers' possessions were lost.Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said its crews had spent the night tackling the flames.
A statement the removals and storage company posted said: "We are heartbroken by the far-reaching impact this has had on the livelihoods of our valued customers, our dedicated staff, our family business."

Gardaí in Waterford are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in his 70s following an incident at a residential property in Waterford City on Friday. Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of an incident at a residential property in St Catherine's Grange shortly after 2pm on Friday. Advertisement A man in his 70s was discovered at the scene with injuries and in an unresponsive condition. He was transported to University Hospital Waterford for treatment and was pronounced deceased on Sunday. A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene during the incident and subsequently detained at a Garda station within the Waterford-Kilkenny Division under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He was later charged in relation to the investigation and appeared before Waterford District Court on Sunday. The local Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be carried out. A technical and forensic examination at the scene has been completed. A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) is leading the investigation and a Family Liaison Officer (FLO) is providing support to the deceased's family. An incident room has been established at Waterford Garda Station. Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station 051 305 300 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111. Gardaí said investigations are ongoing and further updates will follow.
