Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection has announced the successful conclusion of the inaugural edition of its Partner Appreciation Night event, an exclusive evening dedicated to honouring the collaboration, excellence, and long-standing commitment of its most valued partners.
The invitation-only gathering, on May 29, was held at the Executive Lounge on the 30th floor of V Hotel Dubai, Curio Collection by Hilton, offering panoramic views of the Dubai skyline and a setting worthy of celebration.
Created as a gesture of appreciation, the Partner Appreciation Night was a refined evening where professional bonds were recognised and future partnerships were inspired. Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection continues to build on its legacy of fostering authentic, strategic relationships across the hospitality industry, and this special evening brought that ethos to life in unforgettable style, a statement said.
Stefan Radstrom, General Manager, Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection, said: 'Partner Appreciation Night is more than just a celebration, it is a reflection of the meaningful relationships we've built with our partners over the years. Their dedication and shared commitment to excellence are the cornerstones of our journey. Soufiane El Allam, Complex Operations & Commercial Director, Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection, added: 'Success in hospitality is never a solo act—it's a symphony of partnerships, passion, and performance. Partner Appreciation Night is our tribute to those who help us turn ambition into achievement, day after day. Together, we're not just setting standards—we're redefining them.'
The event was designed to reflect the exceptional standards upheld by the collection's three iconic properties, namely Al Habtoor Palace Dubai, Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City, and V Hotel Dubai. The night included highlights that celebrate the power of collaboration, from a dynamic networking atmosphere to memorable moments shared amongst key industry stakeholders.
Guests were also treated to a culinary journey, curated by the city's most beloved dining destinations, on the night. Signature creations from ZOCO, Ribs & Brews, World Cut Steakhouse, and BQ were paired with carefully crafted beverages in partnership with Patrón Tequila. An eclectic array of live music and dance entertainment, complemented by energetic DJ sets completed the evening's sophisticated ambience, ensuring a festive mood from start to finish, all set against a glittering Dubai skyline.
The event was further an opportunity to celebrate the recent accolades that have been received across the complex. Some of the awards and recognitions include Al Habtoor Palace being awarded the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Rating for 2025 and being recognised by Preferred Hotels & Resorts as Hotel of the Year with the 2025 Preferred Awards of Excellence. Meanwhile, Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City earned the distinction of being named the #2 Top Meeting Hotel in the Middle East & Africa by Cvent. These milestones not only reflect the exceptional standards upheld across the collection but also reinforce the value of strong, collaborative relationships that drive shared success and sustained industry leadership. – TradeArabia News Service

AD Ports, key firms eye e-methanol bunkering facility in Kezad
AD Ports Group, a leading facilitator of global trade, logistics, and industry, has signed a collaboration agreement with Masdar, Advario and the CMA CGM Group to explore the feasibility for the development of a state-of-the-art e-methanol bunkering and export facility at Khalifa Port and Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad Group. The project will provide critical infrastructure to complete the supply value chain and bridge commercial e-methanol production with key off-takers, such as CMA CGM, in support of accelerating the decarbonisation of the global shipping industry. The agreement also reinforces the UAE-France strategic partnership, fostered through the High-Level Business Council held annually between both countries, further leveraging mobilisation of the private sectors to deliver sustainable economic development and partnerships. Saif Al Mazrouei, Chief Executive Officer- Ports Cluster, AD Ports Group, said: 'The signing of this agreement marks an important milestone in our journey towards creating a more sustainable and environmentally responsible maritime industry. The development of an e-methanol bunkering and export facility in Khalifa Port will not only support the growth of the shipping industry, but also contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions and the promotion of clean energy sources. We are proud of this partnership with distinguished corporations, and are confident to make a positive impact on the environment and the economy." Dr Faye Al Hersh, Head of Green Hydrogen Business Development (UAE), Masdar, said: 'Green hydrogen and its derivatives, such as e-methanol, are pivotal in decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors like shipping, helping drive the global shift toward net zero. With over 80 percent of global trade transported by sea, fostering strategic partnerships is essential to establishing robust green hydrogen value chains and ensuring a more sustainable maritime industry. E-methanol has the potential to revolutionise the shipping sector by offering a viable pathway to significantly cut emissions. By collaborating with AD Ports Group, Advario and CMA CGM, we are strengthening the UAE's position as a leader in sustainable innovation and making meaningful strides towards a cleaner, greener future.' Bas Verkooijen, Advario CEO, said: "At Advario, we are committed to supporting the energy transition through innovation and collaboration. We are pleased to be partnering with Masdar, AD Ports Group, and CMA CGM to assess the feasibility of developing innovative solutions that will drive long-term, sustainable progress for the maritime industry. 'This partnership not only strengthens our position in the UAE's chemicals and new energy sectors, but it also underlines our commitment to working alongside our customers and partners to accelerate the decarbonisation of critical industries." Christine Cabau Woehrel, Executive Vice President for Assets and Operations, CMA CGM Group, said: 'At CMA CGM, we are accelerating the decarbonation of shipping by investing in low-carbon solutions, with a fleet of more than 153 vessels capable of using low-carbon energies and synthetic fuels such as e-methanol operational by 2029. This collaboration marks a key milestone in developing the necessary infrastructure to scale up sustainable fuels, which are strategic for our industry's energy transition.' The collaboration agreement follows a memorandum of understanding signed in 2023 between AD Ports Group and Masdar to explore the development of a green hydrogen hub within KEZAD. Last year, Masdar also signed a strategic supply partnership with CMA CGM to assess the long-term provision of green maritime fuels for the company's fleet.

Sedar Global launches new store in Abu Dhabi
Sedar Global, a leading specialist in wall coverings, window treatments, and soft furnishings with over 135 years of heritage, has opened a new retail store at Dalma Mall, Abu Dhabi. This marks Sedar's fifth store in Abu Dhabi and twelfth across the UAE. Strategically located on the ground floor of Dalma Mall, a major shopping destination along the Abu Dhabi Tarif Al Ain highway, opposite Mohammed Bin Zayed City, the 150 sqm showroom opened its doors last month. This expansion brings Sedar's global footprint to over 30 stores across 11 countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco, Bahrain, Iraq, Yemen, Qatar, Oman, and Sudan, as well as an international design hub in Northern Italy and retail presence in Canada, said the company in a statement. Sedar said the opening comes at a time when the regional interiors market is thriving. With the UAE construction market estimated at $42.75 billion in 2025, and expected to reach $52.66 billion by 2030, the soft furnishings market in Dubai and the broader UAE is similarly projected to experience robust growth, driven by rising disposable incomes, rapid urbanisation, and a growing preference for sustainable, smart, and high-quality interior solutions. Its strategic expansion is designed to meet this demand, offering a one-stop destination for both residential and commercial customers seeking elevated interior design experiences. On the strategic expansion, COO Rami Selo said: "We're proud to expand our footprint in Abu Dhabi, one of our most dynamic markets. Dalma Mall is part of the Abu Dhabi 2030 strategic development plan, and we've seen a significant rise in demand from the rapidly growing, multicultural population surrounding the mall." "Our mall-based concept has been well received in Dubai, and this new store aims to offer Abu Dhabi consumers and interior designers a similar, accessible shopping destination that brings together high-quality décor solutions and expert service," he added. The Dalma Mall store offers a fresh, immersive shopping experience tailored to modern consumer preferences. In addition to Sedar's extensive range of blinds, curtains, wallpapers, folding doors, and awnings, the store features the brand's newly launched Upholstery Studio and interactive digital screens. This latest store opening follows Sedar's rebrand rollout, which has revitalised more than 15 locations since 2022 with a modern, approachable visual identity. Inspired by Sedar's 'Your Space, Your Art' campaign, the new store design embraces bold colours, open spaces, and integrated technology to create an engaging and user-friendly environment, particularly appealing to Millennial and Gen Z shoppers. Sedar Global continues to collaborate with some of the most prestigious names in design, offering exclusive collections from Armani/Casa, Roberto Cavalli, Versace Home, Missoni Home, Swarovski, and Jannelli & Volpi, as well as sought-after sub-brands like Marcopolo, Amazona, Fujikawa, York Weave, and Antartica, said the statement. New to the portfolio is an exciting collaboration with The Met Museum New York, enabling customers to print renowned artworks onto wallpapers and fabrics – available for the first time in the region.
