The Jordanian Electric Power Company (JEPCO) has denied recent social media rumors claiming that it requires citizens to mortgage their properties in exchange for being granted electricity meters, stressing that the allegation is 'completely false.' اضافة اعلان Company spokesperson Mohammed Al-Maharmeh stated that the video being recirculated dates back about four years, and that the individual who originally posted it had issued a clarification at the time to correct the false information. Al-Maharmeh expressed surprise at the resurfacing of the video after such a long time, noting that some parties had deliberately edited and taken parts out of context to mislead the public and provoke public opinion. He emphasized the importance of accuracy and objectivity among media users and digital platform audiences. He affirmed that JEPCO, which has been serving Jordanians for 87 years, reserves its legal right to prosecute anyone found deliberately spreading misleading information that harms its reputation or damages its relationship with citizens. Al-Maharmeh stressed that the company has never and will never request any citizen to mortgage their property in exchange for an electricity meter. He urged the public to refer to official sources before sharing such claims.

Al-Ajarmeh's journey is set to span over 60 countries across the globe over the course of one year, aboard the durable and reliable Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. The vehicle will serve as a mobile platform carrying the message 'Visit Jordan' in various languages. Promotional events about Jordan will be held in each destination, showcasing the country's tourism, economic, cultural, and investment potential, while also reflecting the kingdom's modern identity and celebrating the historic achievement of the Nashama national team. Commenting on the initiative, Haddad stated: 'We are proud to be part of this inspiring national initiative that reflects our pride in Jordan and our belief in supporting ambitious Jordanian youth.
