Haryana Teens Drive Recklessly, Nearly Kill Two In Shocking Daylight Incident
The shocking incident raised a question mark on parents as two kids nearly caused fatal damage to local residents by driving and racing a Hyundai Venue car.
A bizarre incident in Haryana saw children causing havoc by driving a Hyundai Venue car through a village. Residents were left stunned as these teens entered the big vehicle and started driving it, losing complete control of the car and nearly smashing it into two locals, including a kid, who somehow survived. The vehicle destroyed the two-wheelers parked nearby before people in the neighbourhood came out, shocked by what had happened.
The incident that took place on July 16 was caught on CCTV and posted on Instagram, where these notorious kids started driving and racing the Hyundai car. At the beginning of the clip, one can see a resident trying to pass the gully on his bike before being forced to pause and somehow save his life by evading the uncontrolled vehicle. Later on, a child also managed to escape by milliseconds, as he jumped into an open door, while the car shattered the two-wheelers parked.

From another angle of the footage, it is visible that the car kept racing through since the children inside had no idea how to apply the brakes. A pair of kids on the other side of the gully ran to save their lives, before the Hyundai finally stopped after jamming into a bike parked adjacent to a house. The locals came rushing by to check what had transpired, and much to everyone's disbelief, the car had two kids inside.
One of them opened the door and started crying, as he was presumably hurt. He went straight to his mother, who was there and hugged the little one anxiously, knowing a lot worse could've happened. The other kid also came out safe and was checked by the locals before he ran to check his sobbing friend.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. But the incident raised a few critical questions: how did these kids enter the car and start driving it unperturbed by the consequences? And what were their parents doing, completely unaware of what the kids were up to? How could they be so careless? While kids at their age had no idea of what they were getting into, the incident emerged as a genuine parenting failure.

8 jailed in Meerut over fake drone sighting posts; 15 FIRs filed
Meerut: In a sweeping crackdown on fake drone-sighting rumours, police in Meerut have identified 28 misleading social media posts and lodged 15 FIRs across the district. Eight people have been arrested so far, police said. SSP Vipin Tada said the cyber surveillance teams tracked misinformation on platforms like Instagram, Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), finding 19 fake posts on Instagram, seven on Facebook and two on X. "These false claims of drone activity triggered panic and unrest in parts of the district. So far, we have arrested eight people and sent them to jail," SSP Tada told TOI. Drone-related fears in UP have often been linked to theft attempts, leading to mass paranoia and in some places, even violent incidents such as the recent lynching case in Bareilly, when a 50-year-old mentally-ill man, believed to be a beggar, was lynched under similar suspicion in the district's Bhojipura area. Authorities have appealed to the public not to circulate unverified content that could incite panic and chaos, leading to a law and order issue. Most of the 15 FIRs were registered in rural areas like Partapur, Parikshitgarh, Mundali and Sardhana. However, several residents alleged that the police were not doing enough to calm public fears. Recounting her experience in one such incident, Rakhi Devi, a resident of Jaibheem Nagar near LLRM Medical College, said, "Men from the nearby forested areas tried to barge into our homes at night. We stayed up all night to keep watch. We even called 112 — the police came, but did little. The drone sightings are real. Even the officers who came acknowledged it, but no serious action followed." Miscreants rob scooty after aerial firing in Delhis Mangolpuri; case registered
New Delhi, Aug 2 (PTI) Unidentified miscreants allegedly fired in the air and took away a scooty parked outside a residence in outer Delhi's Mangolpuri area, an official on Saturday said. The official said that the incident took place around 9.30 pm on Friday in Mangolpuri. A PCR call was received around 10.25 pm regarding a quarrel and theft of a scooty by some youths in the area, police said. A case has been registered and efforts are underway to trace the culprits, said a senior police officer. 'A police team rushed to the location where a woman (38) informed that some boys came to their locality and fired in the air before fleeing with her son's scooty that was parked nearby," he added. The complainant said that the incident took place between 9 pm and 9.30 pm. Her son later informed police that he had kept cash in the compartment (diggy) of his scooty, said the officer, adding this claim is yet to be verified. One empty cartridge was recovered from the spot, police said. The crime team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) unit were called to examine the scene of offence, they said. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the BNS at Mangolpuri Police Station, the officer said. 'CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being analysed and local intelligence is being gathered. 7-Year-Old Baloch Boy Charged Under Pakistan's Anti-Terror Law, Sparking Criticism
The child's 'crime' is the sharing of a TikTok video featuring a speech by prominent human rights activist Gulzar Dost A disturbing incident in Gwadar has brought to the forefront grave concerns regarding the alleged misuse of counter-terrorism laws by Pakistan, particularly against minors and activists in Balochistan. A seven-year-old boy in the port city has reportedly been charged under Pakistan's stringent Anti-Terrorism Act, his 'crime" being the sharing of a TikTok video featuring a speech by prominent human rights activist Gulzar Dost. The case, registered by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Makran, saw the young child presented before an anti-terrorism court, a move that has ignited widespread condemnation. Gulzar Dost, identified as a human rights activist rather than a militant, has himself been in detention for two weeks, underscoring what critics describe as a broader crackdown on dissent. According to the sources, the case involving the minor raises serious questions about the state of human rights in Pakistan, particularly concerning the vulnerability of its own citizens to the very machinery designed for national security. There are growing accusations that Pakistan's security apparatus, including its intelligence agencies, has transformed into an unaccountable tool of oppression, increasingly targeting minorities and Baloch activists. The charging of the child under anti-terrorism provisions is seen as an illustration of this alleged overreach, highlighting a pattern where the state's powerful agencies are purportedly employed to harass and silence voices critical of its policies, even extending to the targeting of minors. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
