We have been on a tracker mortgage since September, biding our time for some meaningful rate drops, although we are increasingly keen on getting a fixed deal sorted and forgetting about it for a while. Given we have waited this long, should we hold out for some more interest rate cuts before locking in?Name supplied

As part of the Tuesday Club, shoppers can get their favourite beer and burger from Wetherspoons for just £9.99. Ahead of the wave of promotions, Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: 'We believe that our customers will welcome the new and existing value-for-money club deals in our pubs.' Wetherspoons previously made headlines when it announced that it was bringing back a fan-favourite burger. The hugely popular Brunch Burger will be returning for Father's Day weekend. Available from June 13 until June 15, the burger includes six ounce beef patty, American-style cheese, maple-cured bacon, free-range fried egg. The burger is topped off with a delicious hash brown.

MANCHESTER UNITED have a new striker target after being rejected by Viktor Gyokeres. The Sporting star was United's No1 priority this summer but the deal is dead following talks this week. 2 Gyokeres was not happy with the Red Devils' offer and now wants to move to Arsenal instead. United are still in need of a striker and will now turn their attention to Victor Osimhen. The in-demand striker scored 32 goals in 37 games on loan at Galatasaray last season, and the Turkish side are keen to make his stay permanent. So far, though, no deal has been agreed, with Osimhen seemingly ready to consider all his options - including a potential move to the Premier League. Saudi Arabian clubs are interested and would be able to afford his £500,000-a-week wage demands. That could prove a stumbling bloke for United however, and player sales would have to happen to get a deal for Osimhen over the line. It is understood the Nigerian could be available for £65million. And he was said to be open to a move to Old Trafford. United are also in danger of missing out on another top target - Bryan Mbeumo. The winger was said to have decided on moving to United but that was before Tottenham appointed Thomas Frank. Spurs have held initial talks with Brentford and could hijack United's £60m move for the Cameroonian.

College building plan amid construction training boom
A college is planning to build a complex for the large number of construction trainees it has enrolled. Blackpool and Fylde College said there had been a big uptake for its painting and decorating plan comes after the government unveiled £600m of funding in March to train up to 60, 000 more skilled construction Council will decide on the application later this month. A design and access statement for the application said: "The proposed scheme is to provide a new fit for purpose building to house the teaching of construction /painting and decorating skills at the Blackpool and The Fylde College, Bispham Campus."The requirement for this building is due to the high numbers of students enrolling on construction courses this academic year and the forecast for future years."Blackpool and the Fylde College intend to be integral to ensuring the training of young people across the Fylde region accordingly in support of the government targets."Existing facilities provided at the Bispham campus include engineering, construction, heating and ventilation and automotive, amongst many others, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.
