KitKat launches 'ghostly' new flavour and people can't wait to try it
KitKat lovers are eager to get their hands on a new flavour of the classic chocolate bar - but it's not yet been spotted in regular shops and supermarkets. The original iteration of the beloved sweet treat is crafted with layers of wafers coated in creamy milk chocolate.
It's been a firm favourite on countless confectionery shelves up and down the country since it was first launched back in 1935 as the 'chocolate crisp'. Throughout the decades, there's been a medley of flavours and special, limited edition releases of the trusty KitKat.
Recently, a new festive flavour has been spotted. The hit food-focused social media page New Foods UK shared an image of a new, Halloween -themed bar on Instagram after snapping it up online from World Snacks sweet shop as part of an advertising campaign.
The new bar comes in pumpkin-orange coloured packaging and features the standard KitKat wafers. But, instead of them being covered in milk chocolate, they're covered with cinnamon toast flavoured crème.
This gives the bar itself an orange hue, making it stand apart from regular chocolate bars. The new flavour is named 'ghost toast', cashing in on spooky season which is just around the corner.
Halloween lovers know to expect a vast array of new product launches centred around the annual occasion, with standard items often given a spooky twist.

The KitKat Ghost Toast bar is 42g and costs £2.99 from the World Snacks website. The description reads: 'Kit Kat Ghost Toast Snack Size features mini wafer bars infused with a delicious cinnamon toast flavour, perfect for a spooky twist on a classic treat.
'Each bar delivers the warm, comforting taste of cinnamon with a hint of crunch, making them ideal for Halloween snacking or sharing.

KitKat was originally founded in the 1930s by British confectionery company Rowntree's. According to KitKat's website, it came about through the desire to create 'a chocolate bar that could be consumed on-the-go without creating a mess'.
In the late 1980s, it was taken over by Nestlé and is now 'sold in over 80 countries and is one of the most popular chocolate bars worldwide'.

Earlier this year, Jessie J told fans that she underwent surgery after being diagnosed with early breast cancer, but the singer has now made a heartbreaking confession about her darkest days Jessie J has shared an emotional update on her breast cancer journey, reflecting on the personal toll of her diagnosis and recovery following a full mastectomy in June. Speaking on Jamie Laing's Great Company podcast, the 37-year-old singer revealed how the experience deeply affected her, especially her relationship with her young son, Sky. 'Yesterday I sobbed. I feel like I can't be a mum to my son and I miss him,' she admitted. 'I feel like cancer has robbed me of memories with my boy.' It comes after Jessie said that 'life is too short' as she revealed her new goals in life after her cancer diagnosis. Jessie recorded the podcast in two parts, first in May, shortly after her diagnosis, and again post-surgery. She ultimately chose not to air the original recording, opting instead to speak from a place of reflection. After being diagnosed early, Jessie underwent a mastectomy rather than radiotherapy or chemotherapy due to the size of the 4–5cm lump. However, the emotional weight of the experience was overwhelming. "I had moments where I thought, 'this is going to go left and I'm going to die." She recalled the moment doctors delivered the news: "When they told me I just burst into tears. The doctors had said it was probably just a cyst so I wasn't too worried." Despite the fear, she remained focused on her music. "I was so busy with work after the diagnosis I don't think I processed things properly,' she said, remembering her final pre-surgery performance at Capital's Summertime Ball. 'That euphoria and energy… when I was put to sleep, I replayed that moment in my head.' The support from fans that day stuck with her. "I wish everyone who has ever been diagnosed with anything scary could experience what I did. The whole crowd erupted… It was like a giant hug." After surgery, Jessie was overcome with emotion when she saw her partner, Chanan Safir Colman. "I was so happy to be alive,' she said, breaking down in tears. She later shared how her mother supported her through recovery: "Mum was massaging my boob for me, because I can't touch the scars. I started sobbing, 'I can't believe this has happened.' She was like, 'I wish it was me,' and then I'm crying, she's crying." While she still faces more surgery to address implant symmetry, Jessie remains focused on the future—personally and creatively. Her new single, Believe in Magic, is set for release on August 29. In a video posted to Instagram, she reflected on how the diagnosis changed her outlook. 'When you go through something like cancer, people are like, 'you've changed.' But I think I always had those thoughts—cancer just makes us actually act on them.' Among her post-cancer goals? 'I want to write books. Do a kids album. Get all my tattoos taken off. Take my family on holiday. Learn to ride a bike. Maybe learn a language… but I know that's not going to happen,' she laughed. 'I want to see if I can sort out some medication or some cognitive therapy or something for my ADHD and OCD.' Ultimately, she said: 'Life is short. I want to do it now.'
