Pakistan Embassy Organizes Seminar 'Kashmir: A Bleeding Wound Shaking the Collective Conscience of the Free World'

By Ahmad El-Assasy
Embassy of Pakistan, Cairo organised a Seminar titled 'Kashmir: A Bleeding Wound Shaking the Collective Conscience of the Free World' in observance of Youm-e-Istehsal today.
The panel of speakers included notable Egyptians representing media, civil society and academia. The event started with Recitation from The Holy Quran; National Anthems of Egypt and Pakistan were played afterwards. Messages of the President, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister on Youm-e-Istehsal were read out for the audience.
The Panelists in their separate, but equally impactful presentations, condemned Indian occupation Forces' unabated state oppression on innocent Kashmiris, human rights violations, and questioned the malafide conviction and sentencing of Kashmiri political leadership and human right activists.
They expressed serious concerns at Indian government's anti-Kashmiri and anti-Muslim policies, attempts to change the demography of the occupied territory by unilaterally and illegally changing the autonomous status of the region on 5 August 2019, and urged the international community to play a role in facilitating a just and peaceful solution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UNSC resolution and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
The speakers especially lauded the Pakistan civilian and military leadership for demonstrating mature, befitting and illustrious response to the unprovoked Indian aggression against Pakistan during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. The speakers also admired the timely intervention by the international community, particularly the central role of US President Donald Trump in avoiding a catastrophe of epic proportions during war between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
Ambassador Aamir Shouket in his remarks underscored necessity of immediate resolution of the Kashmir dispute to avoid a catastrophic nightmare in South Asia. He stated that Kashmir and Palestine issues have remained unresolved for decades because India and Israel do not want the valiant people of Kashmir and Palestine to find peace.
The Ambassador stated that the participation of varied and notably large gathering of Egyptian brethren today sends a strong message to the oppressed people in IIOJK and Palestine that we are standing behind them morally, politically and diplomatically.
The Ambassador noted with satisfaction that Pakistan and Egypt have successfully defeated the menace of terrorism for the sake of peace, stability and development. The Ambassador concluded his remarks by stating that peace in South Asia and the Middle East will remain elusive till the resolution of the Kashmir and Palestine issues under the relevant UN resolutions and in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris and Palestinians.
A large number of intellectuals, journalists, students and Pakistani community members attended the event. A special documentary highlighting Indian state atrocities in IIOJK was also screened at the Seminar.

Death Toll from Israeli Drone Strike in Eastern Lebanon Rises to Six

By Ahmad El-Assasy The death toll from an Israeli drone strike in eastern Lebanon has risen to six, with ten others injured, Lebanese authorities confirmed on Thursday. The strike targeted a vehicle on the Al-Masnaa International Road in the Bekaa region. According to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA), citing the Ministry of Health, the final toll from the Israeli drone attack was six dead and ten wounded. A senior official from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) revealed that among the dead were Abu Khalil Washah, a member of the group's Central Committee, and his aide. Both were killed when their car was hit on the Al-Masnaa Road. Earlier the same day, a Lebanese citizen was killed in an Israeli strike on Kfardan, west of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon. The NNA reported that 'an enemy drone targeted a civilian in front of his home in the town of Kfardan, killing him instantly.' In a separate incident, a Syrian national was killed and two others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on the town of Deir Siryan in southern Lebanon's Nabatieh Governorate. Israel launched its assault on Lebanon on October 8, 2023, escalating into a full-scale war by September 23, 2024. The conflict has since killed more than 4,000 people and injured around 17,000, according to official figures. A ceasefire agreement took effect on November 27, 2024, but Israel has violated it more than 3,000 times, resulting in 276 deaths and 580 injuries. Despite the agreement, the Israeli army carried out a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon, but continues to occupy five Lebanese hills seized during the latest war. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Palestinian Factions: Gaza Occupation Threats Show Israeli Weakness

By Ahmad El-Assasy Palestinian factions have declared that recent statements and leaks from the Israeli occupation about a possible takeover of the Gaza Strip expose its political and military weakness, according to Palestinian media reports. The factions stressed that such threats amount to an open declaration of intent to commit genocide and represent a desperate attempt to subdue the Palestinian people and their resistance. They emphasized that Gaza is not 'an empty plot waiting to be filled' but land soaked with the blood of martyrs. They further accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to cover up his political and military defeat by promoting illusions of control. 'Gaza will not be governed from Tel Aviv or any foreign capital, but by the will of its resisting people,' the statement read. The factions also warned that the occupation is delusional if it believes it can free its captives from the resistance through military force. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

42 Palestinians Killed by Israeli Forces in Gaza Since Thursday Morning

By Ahmad El-Assasy Medical sources in Gaza reported that 42 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces since dawn on Thursday, amid continued heavy bombardment across the besieged enclave. The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from Israel's ongoing assault, which began on October 7, 2023, has risen to 61,258 Palestinians killed and 152,045 injured. Gaza's health system remains on the brink of collapse due to the prolonged blockade, severe shortages of medical supplies, and the relentless targeting of hospitals and relief centers. The daily rise in casualties has further strained the already overwhelmed medical infrastructure. Humanitarian agencies warn that the continuous attacks are pushing Gaza into an unprecedented health and humanitarian disaster, with thousands of displaced civilians unable to access adequate treatment or shelter. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
