Angel Reese Move Draws 'Hard' Post From Chicago Sky
Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky faced the Washington Mystics in an early matchup on Tuesday morning. Reese entered the game on a five-game double-double streak and looked to keep it going.

Turns out, she only needed one half to get there, finishing the first with 10 points, 10 rebounds and one assist as the Sky trailed 40-35.
In the third quarter, Reese dished a pass to teammate Michaela Onyenwere, then cut toward the basket as Onyenwere gave it back. Guarded by Washington's Kiki Iriafen, Reese caught the ball in the post, turned and finished with her right hand for an and-one.
The Sky posted the video of her finish on social media for fans to see, including a six-word caption.
"A5 goes hard in the paint," the Sky wrote.
Reese went on to miss the free throw with an opportunity to cut the Mystics' lead from 46-39 to 46-40. Regardless, that brought the former LSU Tigers' point total to 12 on the day.

The Sky may only be 5-12 on the 2025 WNBA season, but Reese has continued to show out, and her play hasn't gone unnoticed. She was recently named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week after averaging 19.7 points, 17.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game from June 23-29.

Reese was also named a WNBA All-Star for the second time in her career, and will head to Indianapolis on July 19.
It will be a quick turnaround for the 23-year-old and her squad, as the Sky host the Wings on Wednesday night.

"He knows how tough this sport is," Cashman told The Athletic about Boone. "He's invested in these guys heavily, as we all are. Trying to explain away a difficult play or a bad performance for some time while the storm is upon us is not an easy task to navigate or deal with and remain cool, calm and collected. He's obviously done an amazing job of working through that. ... We're the defending American League champs trying to re-defend that. Obviously, right now, we're not in control of the division. Our first goal is try to win the American League East and automatically punch the ticket that way. If not, we'll be fighting to punch a ticket a different way. We have a lot of time on the clock, but not enough time at the same time. I don't want to misrepresent (that) there's not urgency, because there is." There needs to be a little more urgency for the final six weeks of the regular season. New York holds just a 1 1/2-game lead over the Cleveland Guardians for the final wildcard spot. ESPN tabs Keldric Faulk as second team All-American
Auburn Tigers EDGE rusher Keldric Faulk is set to have a great season in 2025, and could end the season with high honors. ESPN recently released its preseason All-American team, and included the Tigers' superstar defender on the second team, behind Clemson's TJ Parker. Faulk is the lone Auburn player to make the list, and is one of six players from the SEC to earn a second-team nod. Faulk has high expectations heading into his junior season on the Plains. In addition to his growing list of preseason accolades, Faulk is also a major part of NFL mock drafts. Bleacher Report is the latest outlet to forecast a first-round grade for Faulk, pairing him with the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 28 overall. Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report feels that Faulk's body type is not typical of an NFL pass rusher, but also believes that Faulk falling to No. 28 would be a steal for the Chiefs if the prediction were to come true. Auburn defensive linemen Keldric Faulk being available to the Kansas City Chiefs feels like another instance of the rich getting richer. Others are much higher on Faulk's potential and what he could become as the 2025 campaign progresses. At the same time, he a very young prospect, who's raw and presents a body type that's not typical for an edge-defender. Instead, he'll need to grow as a 6'6", 285-pound defender capable of winning from multiple alignments. Faulk's All-America nod is another notch in his belt. The pass rusher from Highland Home is also included on the Bednarik Award watch list, an award given to the best defensive player in college football. Pro Football Focus also named Faulk one of the 50 best players in college football heading into the 2025 season. Faulk is Auburn's highest graded returning defender according to Pro Football Focus after posting an 83.8 score, trailing fellow EDGE Jalen McLeod. He recorded 45 total pressures last season, broken down by 31 hurries, nine sacks, and one forced fumble. Faulk will anchor the Tigers defense again this season, and will aim to post the best numbers of his career. Ravens vs. Cowboys: 5 Under-the-radar players to watch in Week 2 of preseason
With key starters sitting out, it'll be another opportunity for select veterans and rookies to carve out a role on a loaded roster with very few holes or opportunities. The Ravens are in Dallas for an intriguing preseason matchup against the popular Cowboys on Saturday night. The Ravens and Cowboys have only faced each other once in the preseason before Saturday's matchup. Their second scheduled preseason game in 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic. With key starters sitting out, it'll be another opportunity for select veterans and rookies to carve out a role on a loaded roster with very few holes or opportunities. With kickoff fast approaching, we're looking at five under-the-radar players to watch. DB Reuben Lowery Ravens' undrafted free agent cornerback Reuben Lowery has caught the attention of head coach John Harbaugh, and the versatile defensive back is inching towards a coveted roster spot in the deep Baltimore secondary. Lowery has been making plays that could push a key starter or contributors onto the roster bubble at Ravens training camp. LB Jay Higgins Undrafted inside linebacker Jay Higgins IV helped his bid to make the roster in the preseason opener with an interception, three tackles, and two pass breakups. Higgins played plenty of special teams at Iowa, which helps his chances. I'm interested to see what he does against Dallas. RB Rasheen Ali Baltimore didn't draft a running back and only has four players on the roster at the position. Henry is an All-Pro, Justice Hill is a solid No. 2 running back, and Keaton Mitchell provides a home run threat. Ali needs a strong preseason to warrant the Ravens carrying four running backs. WR Malik Cunningham Baltimore has ten wide receivers on the roster after selecting Colorado's LaJohntay Wester in Round 6. Cunningham is the only player in the position who is not a natural wide receiver but offers special-teams abilities. Cunningham needs an intense training camp to warrant a roster spot over Dayton Wade, Anthony Miller, and Keith Kirkwood. DT-C.J. Okoye Okoye, a Nigerian native, first joined the Chargers as part of the International Player Pathway Program. He had a sack in his first organized football game in the preseason. He'll compete in a position group that includes Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, John Jenkins, and Jayson Jones. OL Corey Bullock Bullock was an honorable mention All-Big Ten after starting 11 games for the Terrapins in 2023. According to Pro Football Focus, Bullock was ranked as the second-highest-rated pass-blocking guard in the Big Ten conference, with a 79.6 grade via the Terrapins' official website. After a season spent on the Ravens' practice squad, he'll look to carve out a backup role.
