There is a way to avoid the price hike - but you'll have to lose some shows

That means the existing package will now cost £33.99 a month instead of £30.99.
TNT Sports will show 52 Premier League matches during the 2025/26 season.
Their first is Aston Villa v Newcastle United on August 16.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports will broadcast the most with the rights to 215 games.
"Taking the absolute p*** now," one frustrated viewer raged on X.
"What a bargain hey? I'll be cancelling," another raged.
The move comes as part of a shake-up to the Discovery+ packages, with a new tier now available.
This provides a way to keep the old TNT Sports subscription price of £30.99 but it will mean sacrificing some of the content you had access to previously.
And you'll need to manually switch within your account to advantage if that's of interest.
In an email to customers, the broadcaster said: "Thank you for being a discovery+ subscriber.
Premier League's most expensive season ticket prices revealed with Man Utd just seventh highest
"We want to let you know about changes to your subscription plan.
"On your next billing date on or after 28 August 2025, your monthly discovery+ Premium (incl. TNT Sports) subscription price will increase to £33.99/month.
"Your plan name will also change to 'TNT Sports & Entertainment'."
So how can you save?
Previously, there were only two tiers, Discovery+ Basic which had no sport at all and remains at £3.99 per month.
Meanwhile Discovery+ Premium had all that plus TNT Sports.
Wedged between the pair is now a third option, Discovery+ TNT Sports.
This essentially provides access to everything TNT Sports has to offer, including Premier League and UEFA Champions League, Autumn Nations Series and Moto GP.
But you won't be able to watch Discovery+'s non-sport content available for £30.99 per month with reality from TLC, documentaries from Discovery Channel and more.
If you're not fussed about the non-sport shows, it might be worthwhile downgrading to this to avoid the price hike.

Canal+ flags smaller line-up of films in 2025 but hails Paddington hit
The company, which launched its shares on the London Stock Exchange last year, reported group revenues of 3.1 billion euros (£2.7 billion) for the first half of 2025. This was down 3.3% on the same period a year ago, driven by contracts coming to an end, including with Disney in France and the Uefa Champions League, it said. For the group's film and TV production business, which includes StudioCanal, revenues dipped by about 3% year on year. This was mainly because of a smaller line-up of films sold internationally over the first half of 2025, compared with 2024, which included the releases of Back To Black and Wicked Little Letters. StudioCanal's Back To Black was released last year (Ian West/PA) But the impact of fewer releases was partly offset by the success of major films including Paddington In Peru, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, and We Live In Time. Canal+ said there had been 'record viewership' in cinema, series and live sports events across its regions over the period. The company floated on the London Stock Exchange in December in one of the biggest new listings for the City in several years. The decision for Paris-based Canal+ to list in London was hailed by Chancellor Rachel Reeves as a 'vote of confidence' in the UK's stock market. The company had 25.7 million subscribers at the end of June – about 1.2% fewer than it had the same time last year. It has been eyeing cost reductions across Europe which it hopes will boost profits. Maxime Saada, chief executive of Canal+, said: 'I am pleased with all we have accomplished at Canal+ since our listing. 'Our strategy of bringing our in-house content together with content from the world's best studios, sports competitions and streaming platforms, and super-aggregating it all on our enhanced Canal+ app for the benefit of our customers, provides us with a unique value proposition.'

Premier League clubs can block dressing-room cameras if losing under new TV deal
Premier League teams will be able to change their mind on allowing cameras into their dressing rooms next season if they are losing. Dressing-room access is one of a number of enhancements being granted by top-flight clubs as part of the new domestic television deal with Sky Sports and TNT Sports, along with half-time player or manager interviews and in-match interviews with managers or substituted players. Clubs must allow broadcasters one of those enhancements at least twice per season, according to details of the broadcasting arrangements for the new campaign set out in Section K of the league's latest handbook. However, clubs can refuse the access if they are losing at the time the access was due to be provided, but must then accommodate another request for access later in the season. Broadcasters must make requests to clubs for the enhanced access at least five days before the match, and set out which access is preferred. A tough day for Brentford. Pictures from the Bees' dressing room as manager Thomas Frank tries to lift his players after a heavy loss to Liverpool 💬 — Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) February 17, 2024 Clubs must then respond at least 72 hours in advance of the match which of the three types of access they intend to deliver. Broadcasters and clubs will work together to ensure the content gathered is 'positive and non-controversial', the handbook states. Dressing-room access can either be between the end of the warm-up and the first bell rung prior to kick-off, between the ringing of the first bell and players departing the dressing room, at half-time or immediately after the match, once all players have returned to the dressing room. Clubs will also have the final say on whether audio is recorded. For half-time interviews, clubs and broadcasters must mutually agree no later than 24 hours before a match whether a player or manager will be made available. In the case of a player, they will be chosen from a shortlist of at least five compiled by the broadcaster and provided to the club no later than the 40th minute of the match. Interviews will consist of no more than three questions, the handbook said, and be 'related to the league match' and 'positive'. Dressing-room access has been trialled previously, with TNT Sports having worked with Brentford last season under an agreement between their executives. In-match interviews will either involve a manager or a substituted player, with the manager or player made available no later than the 85th minute of the match. These interviews will feature no more than two questions. Sky will broadcast a record minimum of 215 top-flight games from this season under a new four-year agreement, up from 128 games. The opening match of its coverage will involve champions Liverpool hosting Bournemouth on Friday, August 15.

Joao Felix leaves Chelsea to join Al-Nassr
The 25-year-old Portugal international moved to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid last summer, having had an earlier spell with the Blues on loan in 2023. He made 20 appearances for Enzo Maresca's side in the first half of the season – but started only three Premier League games – before leaving for AC Milan on loan in January. "I'm here to spread win together." João Félix is Nassrawi ✍️ — AlNassr FC (@AlNassrFC_EN) July 29, 2025 'We thank Joao for his efforts across his two spells at the club and wish him well for the future,' Chelsea said in the statement. Felix has signed a two-year contract with his new club. Al-Nassr have reportedly paid an initial £26million transfer fee, although add-ons could see that rise as high as £43million – close to the sum Chelsea paid Atletico for his services last summer. He joins his Portugal team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, who announced his arrival with a short video on social media in which Felix said: 'I am here to spread joy. Let's win together.'
