Coronation Street star rules out reunion for much-loved couple

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Coronation Street fans got their hopes up last week when two former lovers sat together in the Rovers. After watching the scenes, fans took to social media to point out how Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) seemed to be getting on well, and wondered if a reunion may be on the cards. Viewers will recall that Asha and Nina dated for quite some time, but they ultimately went their separate ways when Nina kissed Asha's brother, Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain). Unfortunately for speculating fans, this betrayal is something that actress Tanisha Gorey suspects Asha would be unable to come back from, as she explained when I caught up with her at the British Soap Awards. 'I love Mollie and I love Asha and Nina. I think their differences are what bring them together and I think they're amazing together. I love them. 'However, the pathetic kiss that Nina and Aadi shared, I just think Asha couldn't come back from that, purely based on you've not only cheated but you've cheated with her brother. Her twin brother! I'm like, no. It's a big no go. That's it – done, blocked.' She went on to explain that she'd like to see them as friends, but she doesn't think they'd work as a couple given their history. In terms of another romance, Tanisha admitted that she isn't sure what the future holds for Asha. 'I don't know where Asha's love life is leading right now. She's a career woman and she's saving lives. Maybe not on screen but she's saving lives in the background and she's trying her best.' Earlier in our chat, we joked about how Asha was often on the scene when major characters met their maker, having failed to save both Mason Radcliffe and Craig Tinker this year alone. More Trending This has gained her an hilarious nickname, she revealed, as we tried to work out if Asha had actually managed to save anyone on-screen yet! 'Being a student paramedic, everyone calls me the Grim Reaper now. I get it, I get it! But it's good. View More » 'We can say I've saved people off screen. Haunted doll's handler says it's not responsible for disasters while on tour

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A cursed doll rumored to have gone missing while touring the US with a traveling exhibit is being blamed for local disasters including a fire and a jailbreak. The 'Annabelle' doll, which some believe is demon-possessed and was featured in The Conjuring horror films, is on a paranormal tour along with other items belonging to her ghost hunter owners. Word on the street in mid-May was that Anabelle vanished while stopping at the Ghost City Tours office in New Orleans. It happened to be the same week that a fire tore through a nearby plantation and 10 prisoners escaped from a jail. But Tony Spera, the owner of the Warren Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, said that Annabelle is 'safely back' there locked in her display case. 'You know, it's easy for rumors to start. The fact of the matter is, that doll was never out of our sight, never out of our control,' Spera told NBC News this week. 'It's in a protective case that many precautions were taken to make it safe.' Paranormal investigator Ryan Buell sought to further quell rumors by posting a video on Facebook on May 24 of himself at the museum. 'She's not in Chicago, she never was in Chicago, and she's not missing because she's right behind me,' said Buell, while pointing the camera towards him with the doll sitting in the case over his shoulder. Still, social media users and conspiracy theorists have been skeptical about those accounts of Annabelle's whereabouts. A blaze destroyed the Nottoway Plantation House between Baton Rouge and New Orleans on May 15, and the very next day, inmates escaped from the Orleans Justice Center. Annabelle was touring in New Orleans on May 13 and 14, and among the precautions that were taken were having a Catholic priest alongside the doll. Some people are 'absolutely convinced' that Ghost City Tours is at fault for the fire and jailbreak, said its founder Tim Nealon. One Facebook user asked why Annabelle wasn't left at the Connecticut museum and wrote on Ghost City Tours' page: 'Did it cross your mind maybe she was there for a reason. Some things are better left alone.' 'I did not think people were taking it seriously, I kept seeing jokes about it on Instagram and TikTok,' Nealon told USA Today. 'But, I didn't realize people were out here like, actually thinking that this was legit.' More Trending Spera said he doesn't blame people for being skeptical. 'If people don't know about the demonic, it's very difficult to believe that these thing are happening,' he said. 'But they do happen.' Annabelle has been on sold-out tours across the US – and Buell said that plans are underway for her to be at the Rock Island Roadhouse Esoteric Expo in Illinois on October 4. BBC The One Show viewers confused over unexpected format change

The One Show fans were left confused as Alex Jones and Clara Amfo interviewed Tina Knowles on Tuesday The One Show viewers were left confused over an unexpected format change on Tuesday (June 3). In the latest episode of the popular BBC show, presenters Alex Jones and Clara Amfo covered the day's biggest stories from the UK and globally. ‌ The duo also spoke to actors Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed about their new British action comedy, Deep Cover, as well as television presenter Fern Britton, who discussed her latest novel, A Cornish Legacy. ‌ Later on, the hosts sat down with Tina Knowles to talk about her revealing new memoir, Matriarch. The book dives into her life's story, shedding light on her experiences of grief, tragedy, love and heartache, in addition to how she raised her successful daughters, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Solange Knowles, reports the Express. However, the show's viewers were left confused as Tina didn't join the other guests on the green sofa, but was instead sat in a different part of the studio. "I wonder if guests negotiate specially to be interviewed in this separate space, away from the riffraff on the main sofa," one viewer pondered on X (formerly Twitter). Another chimed in: "Tina gets her own sofa #TheOneShow," while someone else questioned: "Why wasn't she sat on the sofa with the guests? #TheOneShow." ‌ There was also speculation among some audience members about whether Tina's segment had been pre-taped, with one comment noting: "Never known anyone do this, assuming it's pre-recorded." During her interview, Tina opened up about the significance of penning her memoir, stating: "I have just been behind the scenes for pretty much [my daughters] whole career, so this was a big step for me to come out. ‌ "It's been a wonderful journey, I've learned so much from writing this book. It was very necessary to look at all the things, the good and the bad, that have happened in my life, and for me to tell it from my own words. "We're in a time where there are so many rumours, and I just wanted to set the record straight on so many things. It's been a great healing journey for me." Tina revealed that the memoir's origins began over a decade ago as recordings for her grandchildren, but she later realised its wider potential to aid others and chose to publish it.
