Canadian men's rugby sevens coach Sean White to leave role in July
Rugby Canada says the change will be made when the first term of White's contract ends.
The organization says it feels the change is in the best interest of the program as it aims to qualify for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
The Canadian men were relegated from the elite HSBC SVNS circuit last June.

But, yes, I better understand what White is talking about in the beginning of this clip. Of course, his feet are heavy, they've been weighed down by a half-pint of fluid in each shoe. Each step must be like trudging through the Bog of Eternal Stench. White also says he's dealt with this all his life, so it's worth asking; is he worse in hot weather while pouring three pounds of sweat into his cleats each game? There's some evidence to back this specious hypothesis. White has played 43 NFL games in September and October in his career, fighting against the dying light of summer. He has five interceptions in those games and 33 passes defensed. White has played 48 games in November and December, where the cold would limit the amount he's sweating each Sunday. He has 12 interceptions and 39 passes defensed in those games. So he's more productive as a ballhawk when he's colder, but also less active as a tackler. That's not enough data to back even a thrown-off suggestion about White's play. It's barely even interesting. But it did make me forget about the grown man wringing a water balloon's worth of sweat from his socks mid-practice, so it was worth it. Sean Payton had a great message for players on Broncos' roster bubble
As the Denver Broncos prepare for roster cuts, there's one more preseason game on deck. After closing out preseason on Aug. 23, Denver will have until Aug. 26 to set an initial 53-man roster. Broncos coach Sean Payton has made it clear that anyone can impress and make the active roster, no matter how the team found them. High-profile free agents, high draft picks, budget free agent additions, late-round draft picks, undrafted rookies, CFL and UFL signings all get an equal opportunity. If you can play, you'll make the team. 'I think the message we always try to deliver is the process of the draft, and then signing the players after the draft, and then signing free agents, and then scouting the Canadian league, the other league -- there's a rhyme and reason to make decisions to get your best group," Payton said last week. "We always tell them once they're here, how they arrived is [of] no importance to us. We're able to show that over a long timeline. Our locker room counts on us keeping and playing the best players. It's a perfect opportunity. 'I'm aware of where you came from, and I'm ready for another good story.'"
