An inquest has been called into the death of Sean White, who died nearly four years ago while in custody at the Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre. White died on Aug. 21, 2021 and the inquest will examine the circumstances around his death. The date, time and venue of the inquest will be announced at a later date. The jury at the inquest will hear from witnesses and experts and will come to a verdict on his cause and manner of death. The jury can also make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths.
