Debenhams slashes 'sparkling' designer perfume to £27 in better than half price deal

Daily Record16-05-2025

The perfume is currently on offer, with one size in particular having a significant discount.
Debenhams shoppers can get their hands on a popular Jimmy Choo fragrance at a significantly reduced price. The online department store is offering a deal that could see fans of the perfume pocketing over £30 in savings and staying topped up on their favourite fragrance.
The perfume, housed in an elegant pink bottle, uses a mix of fruity and floral notes. It blends red berries with sweet pea and a dash of white musk to create the iconic scent.
It is celebrated online as "bright and sparkling", having picked up plenty of fans since its 2015 debut. Shoppers can enjoy a generous 20% saving on two sizes available – the small 40ml bottle now for £34.40 and the large 100ml bottle priced at £60.80.
But, the real deal is the medium-sized 60ml edition, offered at better than half price. It has been reduced from £58 to £27.
Perfume lovers scouring the internet could come across similar deals elsewhere. Boots customers could snap up Marc Jacobs Dot (50ml) for a tempting £37, down from the normal price of £74, reports the Mirror.
Meanwhile, Superdrug has one of the most dramatic markdowns online with Calvin Klein Euphoria Eau de Parfum. The original sticker price of £87 for 100ml has dropped to just £28.90.
But Debenhams is the go-to destination for Jimmy Choo fans looking for a bargain. The under £30 offer on Blossom is winning stellar feedback from shoppers.
An impressed shopper wrote in the reviews: "I really like the scent and have gotten plenty of compliments when I wear it. " They added: "I buy it when it is on offer."
However, on Amazon, some critical reviews have suggested the fragrance is "a bit underwhelming for a luxe product". A reviewer said: "It is very weak, and barely lasts longer than a couple of hours".
But the scent has won many other people over. Another customer claimed: "I use this perfume for work and have had many people commenting on how nice it smells and asking what it is." And, another posted: "The aroma is beautiful and long-lasting. Friends and colleagues have complimented on how lovely the aroma smells on me."
Over at Debenhams, the feedback was just as enthusiastic. One happy shoppers shared: "Been given as a gift to me more than a year ago and have been using this perfume since then. A definite keeper!" While another wrote: "Smells very nice, not overpowering".

Tesco slashes the price of summer garden essential from £80 to £24 – it's the cheapest on the market

TESCO has slashed the price of a summer garden essential to £24 - and it's the cheapest on the market. The UK's biggest supermarket is flogging Haven multi-purpose mini BBQ pizza ovens online. Shoppers will have to be quick though as the offer is only running until June 8. The oven, which comes with an in-built thermometer, can be placed on top of gas or charcoal BBQs to heat up any food. Tesco says it can also be used to cook meat, fish and more. Shoppers buying the Haven pizza oven will have to pay a standard delivery charge of £3. Express delivery costs £4.99. Anyone unhappy with the product can request a return or refund online up to 30 days after delivery date. Tesco is selling the summer essential cheaper than some other major retailers too. BBQ is selling the same model for £51.49, Debenhams for £55.49 and Amazon for £79.99. You can scour the internet to find out whether a retailer has the best price for a particular item using price comparison websites like Trolley, Price Spy and Price Runner. The Google Shopping/Product tab is also a quicker way of checking prices across retailers online. OTHER SUMMER BARGAINS Retailers left right and centre are offering some bargain buys that could come in useful this summer. Shopping discounts - How to make savings and find the best bargains Lidl is selling a £6 foldable backpack in stores that's ideal for flights abroad. The travel essential is available to buy from today. Sports Direct shoppers have been rushing to buy IT Luggage Soft Shell suitcase for £45 too. Retailer The Range has slashed the price of a four-litre glass dispenser from £15 to £10 as well. Other stores are also rolling out garden-ready deals, including Home Bargains. Poundland has also launched novelty garden décor from £6. How to save money at Tesco EVERY little helps when it comes to saving money at Tesco. The Sun's Head of Consumer Tara Evans explains how you can save money at the UK's biggest supermarket. Clubcard points Tesco first launched it's loyalty scheme back in 1995. You get one point for every £1 you spend in store. If you spend points in store then 100 points is worth £1. You can spend your points via its reward partners and get triple and even sometimes quadruple the value. Extend Clubcard points You can find lost Clubvcard points and find the last two years of unused vouchers by logging into the Tesco Clubcard site. Clubcard prices If you don't have a Clubcard then you will miss out on its cheaper Clubcard prices. However, don't forget to check prices before you shop because it might not be cheaper than elsewhere, especially on big value items like washing powder and loo roll. Yellow stickers Shops do vary the time they reduce groceries with yellow stickers but Tesco tends to be between 7pm and 9pm. Save money if you shop online If you get your Tesco food shop delivered then it might be worth buying a delivery saver pass to help cut the cost of delivery fees. If you live near a Tesco then you can get click and collect slots of as little as 25p, so it might be cheaper than getting your food delivered. Tesco re-launched the F&F clothing brand online last month. The month before, it confirmed it would be adding The Entertainer concessions to more than 2,000 Express stores. Shoppers are able to pick up a host of value toys with prices ranging from £1.50 to £7. It comes after Tesco previously launched The Entertainer concessions at 850 Tesco supermarkets, creating 1,200 jobs. In February, Tesco also confirmed it was trialling "Your Clubcard Prices" - tailored discounts on products based on shoppers' habits. The update has been rolled out to selected shoppers but not UK-wide. .

'Free school meal boost will put £500 in parents' pockets and help kids achieve'

It's the mission of this government to put more money in the pockets of working people, make families better off, and set up every child for success. And I'm ambitious for all children. I want every child to have every opportunity and the best support to aim high, achieve good grades, and get the best education possible. That starts with the basics - it's common sense that children can't do well at school if they're hungry. That's why today I'm proud to announce that over half a million more children will get a free school meal every day. All children in a household on Universal Credit will now be eligible, giving them the support they need to learn and thrive. It will put £500 in parents' pockets, help children achieve at school, and ease cost-of-living pressures. The Mirror has long campaigned on free school meals, so I'm delighted that we're able to make this announcement today. My message to Mirror readers is this - my government will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit to give every child the best start in life. But easing the pressure on the cost of living goes beyond this announcement. That's why we're rolling out free breakfast clubs, to save parents time and money in the mornings and make sure kids have the best start to the day. It's why we're limiting the number of branded items of school uniforms, saving parents hard earned cash. Follow our Mirror Politics account on Bluesky here. And it's why we're boosting the minimum wage, creating good, well paid jobs, and cracking down on unfair practices at work. The last Labour government did incredible work to lift children out of poverty. This Labour government will break the link between background and opportunity, so every single child has the chance to succeed. This is part of our Plan for Change, to break down barriers to opportunity. We're making sure families have the tools they need - so parents can be confident that their children will have every chance to go far in life and work.
