
Two Proton Saga cars catch fire in separate incidents

The first incident occurred at Kampung Lutong 2, Kota Marudu, at 4.16pm, where a Proton Saga LMST was completely engulfed in flames before a seven-member team from the local station extinguished it using a hose reel. The second case was reported at 6.32pm in Tuaran twonship, where a six-member team quickly contained a fire that damaged 30 per cent of another Proton Saga LMST, mainly at the engine compartment. No injuries were reported in either case, and both operations were declared fully under control within minutes of arrival. Fire damages auto parts store in Tawau

Fifteen firefighters from the Tawau Fire Station arrived at the scene, located 7 kilometres away, within six minutes of receiving the 5.44am distress call, and brought the blaze under control by 5.55am. Proton Wira destroyed in Kinarut car fire

The Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 7.03pm and dispatched a team from Papar Fire Station. Nine firefighters arrived at the scene, 18 kilometres away, at 7.24pm. The fire was brought under control within two minutes using a hose reel and water from the fire engine.
