Skims straight-leg trousers that 'feel like butter' reduced to £36 in flash sale

Daily Mirror16-05-2025

Previously priced at £72 and available in multiple colours, these SKIMS cotton trousers are soft, flattering and perfectly cooling for the warmer weather
It's a very good day when SKIMS has a sale, and it's even better when you find a best-selling product still in stock in plenty of sizes for a fraction of its usual RRP.
This morning, we've spotted SKIMS' top-rated Cotton Jersey Straight Leg Pants on sale via the brand's UK website for £36 instead of £72– that's a big 50% saving. The biggest discount is in the Barely Pink and Dusk colourways, with the gorgeous ballerina-like Barely Pink still in stock in all sizes. If you want to shop the classic black (Soot) shade, that's also still in stock, but the cost for that shade is £50– still a big saving of £22.
So why do we love them? The SKIMS Cotton Jersey Straight Leg Pant is made from the brand's signature cotton jersey fabric– a breathable, lightweight cotton blend with plenty of stretch and softness. This special material offers a soft yet still structured feel, making sure you feel comfy without compromising on shape. The straight-leg silhouette gives a clean, relaxed fit that sits naturally on the hips, with a gentle drape through the leg. An elasticated waistband with an added drawcord adds to the adjustability, while subtle tonal stitching keeps the design minimal and versatile.
Available in a range of colours, including Barely Pink, Dusk, Light Heather Grey and Soot, these trousers can easily be styled up or down to suit any occasion– be it running errands or paired with a blazer for a business-meets-casual work look. The sizing is also, in SKIMS fashion, inclusive, ranging from XXS to 4X, catering to a diverse array of body types.
But don't just take our word for it, shoppers also say they can't get enough of the trousers. One buyer writes: "These are even more comfortable than I expected and the fit is perfect. Now I need them in every colour."
"These pants are ridiculously soft and breathable. If you're looking for some loungewear, that doesn't suffocate you or make you feel hot. These are perfect," adds another, while a third chimes in with: "Very nice material hugs my curves best lounge pants I've ever owned, hands down. I need these in all colours.:
Others call them "butter-soft" and their "favourite ever pair of trousers", however, another reviewer had a slightly different take, writing: "Super soft and comfortable but very very long definitely size down."
Elsewhere, our shopping writer Grace believes she's found the 'perfect' summer blouse she'll be wearing on repeat. She says: "Our fashion team recently got a first look at Finery's latest summer drop, and it's full of everything we want to wear this season. Think easy linen, laid-back denim, soft neutrals, and elevated everyday staples, all with a focus on wearability and timeless style.
"One item caught my eye in particular, thanks to its high-quality, chic look and breathable summer fabric. If you've been looking for a blouse that feels polished but still lets you breathe, enter the Adalia White Cotton Blouse; a crisp white top that's the perfect combination of stylish and practical."

Kim Kardashian's daughter North, 11, debuts startling new look as they dine at Malibu hotspot

Kim Kardashian enjoyed a dinner outing in Malibu on Wednesday with her eldest child North - who showed off an eye-popping new hair color. The SKIMS founder, 44 - who recently weighed in on 'momager' Kris Jenner's new youthful appearance - put on a stylish display outing of the hotspot Nobu as she was also joined by a few close pals. The reality star was edgy in a black skirt that clung to her frame as well as a black lace tank top with a plunging neckline. Kardashian added a loose black belt around the waistline and slipped into a pair of closed-toed, black heels. She layered the ensemble with an oversized, black leather jacket and pulled back her dark locks into a sleek up do. The mom-of-four opted to not add flashy pieces of jewelry to allow her outfit to be the main focal point for the evening. Kim added a warm blush to her cheekbones while a nude-colored tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch. While leaving the restaurant, the TV personality's eldest daughter North, 11, kept it casual in a gray T-shirt and shorts. She made a bold statement by showing off long, vibrant blue hair that flowed down in light waves past her shoulders. North has previously dabbled in trying out different colors for her locks - such as last year when she added blonde streaks. The pre-teen also showcased a bluish hue to her hair last month in May as she teased her debut at the 2025 Met Gala with her mom. The 11-year-old has been vocal about her love of fashion and style, and revealed that she plans to launch her very own clothing line while talking to Interview Magazine late last year. At one point during her conversation with Kim, she expressed, 'Well, I am starting my own clothing line.' The TV personality then asked, 'And what are you going to call it?' and North shared she wants to name it after herself. The pre-teen also showcased a bluish hue to her hair last month in May as she teased her debut at the 2025 Met Gala with her mom The Kardashians star shares North, as well as Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six, with ex-husband Kanye West. The former couple have recently been embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their kids - with the controversial rapper taking to social media to air out wild rants to his followers over the topic. Along with North, Kim's mother Kris Jenner has also showed off a new look as well - and looks half her age after recently undergoing a new facelift. The momager flaunted her refreshed face while out in Paris last month in May during Kim's armed robbery trial. Jenner's rep confirmed to that Kris has seen celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Steven M. Levine - who is known as the 'facelift maestro.' A source also exclusively told that Jenner has lost weight by stating, 'Kris is no longer a size 10 so she has no need for those clothes, she is a size 6 these days and thrilled about it. It's the same size that she was in the 1980s. 'Her closet is completely different now - the items are so much smaller - and it makes her very happy to get back to the body that she had in her younger years.' Earlier this week, Kim commented on her mother's new look by reposting a snap to her Instagram stories. The image was of her longtime hairstylist Chris Appleton donning a shirt that had 'I'll have what Kris Jenner is having.' Along with sharing the picture to her own account, the SKIMS founder also added the message, '@chrisappleton1 me too babe.' Kim has been keeping busy and gave her fans a glimpse at her lavish walk-in closet over the past weekend as she tried on pieces for her SKIMS brand. In one selfie, the star could be seen showing off her summer-ready body in a red bikini top as well as a pair of marching, skimpy bottoms. She also snapped a mirror selfie while slipping into a maxi skirt that clung to her frame as well as a thin bandeau top. Behind the media personality was a portion of her spacious closet inside her $60 million mansion. A number of purses and shoes were organized by color on shelves behind her. Last month in May, the mom-of-four officially completed her law school program and held a mini graduation in an intimate backyard ceremony following the six-year journey. The reality star did not attend traditional law school and instead underwent Law Office Study Program (LOSP) in the state of California. Kim will still need to take the Bar Exam if she wants to professionally practice law in the state. On social media, the beauty could be seen holding a certificate of completion while also sporting a beige robe and matching graduation cap. The TV personality has also taken a role in Ryan Murphy's upcoming legal drama All's Fair alongside other cast members such as Naomi Watts, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts, Sarah Paulson and Teyana Taylor. A trailer for the Hulu show officially dropped last month in May - with episodes set to start airing in Fall 2025.

'Fake tans make me look orange but this cool toned one promises sunkissed skin'

Mirror's shopping writer Grace always struggles with fake tan looking too orange, so she tested out utan's brand new instant tan designed for those with cool undertones As a fair-skinned girl, achieving a natural tan can be a bit of a challenge. It demands a lot of hours of sunbathing, and with the UK's famous lack of sunshine, coupled with the possibility for skin damage, it's just not worth the hassle anymore. So I'm constantly on the hunt for a bronzing product that can mimic that natural sun-kissed glow. However, the majority of fake tans always ends up looking too orange on my cool-toned skin. When I saw that utan had launched its Instant Tan Cool, labelled by the brand as "the world's first instant tan designed to suit your undertone and enhance your perfume", I knew I had to test out and see if it actually worked on my skintone. Utan is known for developing innovative and first of it's kind formulas, not to mention it's loved by major celebrity A-listers like Sofia Richie and Sienna Miller. We have had gradual fake tans in the past that have been specifically designed for certain undertones, such as Bondi Sands' Technoolour Range, but finding an instant tan (reasonably priced at £18) that can do so is pretty great. Pros Evens out the skin tone Easy to apply Natural-looking Buildable Smells amazing Cons Doesn't give a really deep tan utan Instant Tan Cool review The first thing I noticed after using this tan was how easy and honestly foolproof the application is. The forumla comes out in a airbursh spray that blends so seamlessly into the skin. There's not hard work or intense rubbing required. Simply spray the formular directly on to your skin or mitt and softly blend it in for the perfect finish. It's probably the easiest-to-apply fake tan I've ever tried. Initially I was unsure if the colour was dark enough for my liking. I don't like anything too deep but the first spray showed up with very minimal colour. However, the great thing about this product is that it dries down fairly quickly so you can build it up to get a deeper colour. I will say that it does act more like body make-up, as described by the brand, so it's ideal for smoothing out uneven tones and adding some natural colour into the skin. But if you're looking for a deep, intense tan this is probably not the one for you. Personally, I know this is a product I will reach for all the time. I love anything instant as I'm often too forgetful to actually prep out my bodycare routine in advance. And this handy spray can easily slot into my handbag for emergency top ups on a night out. Additionally, it does not have that traditional fake tan smell at all. In fact, the scent is organic vanilla and tonka so not only does it give the skin a littel bronzey glow, it makes you smell amazing at the same time. The brand has also launched the same product but created for those with warm-tones, and actually recommends mixing both together if you're neutral to get your perfect, bespoke shade. If you've not been convinced by an instant tan, my favourite gradual tans are: Tan Luxe The Gradual Illuminating Self Tan Lotion, currently £22 and Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Water Medium, £18.95.
