Peter Andre insists he just wants his daughter Princess 'to be happy' as he lauds her 'early success' with ITV show - amid his feud with her mother Katie Price
The singer and TV personality, 52, shared a statement accusing his ex-wife, 47, of spreading 'baseless lies' about him in a bombshell admission last week.
However at the heart of it all, Peter admitted he just wants his kids - namely Princess - who has just released her own BBC docu-series - to be happy.
Peter proudly lauded his daughter's 'early success' but admitted that while it is all well and good, it is his child's well-being he is most concerned of.
Writing in his column for new! magazine, he said: 'I'm extremely proud of Princess and her show. I think she's absolutely smashed it. She's come across just how she is and how we know her to be - funny, quirky and kind.
'The response to The Princess Diaries has been phenomenal. But even though her early success is fantastic, all I really want is for her to be happy.
'Hopefully, she can do season two, three, four - whatever she wants to do - and soar like an eagle because she's a great kid and I'm so proud of her.'
Peter recently spoke about his daughter's foray into the TV world for the first time, admitting he was 'very strict' about what she could feature in her new show.
She was praised by viewers for her four-part show, where she offered insight into her 'chaotic' childhood as the daughter of the Mysterious Girl hitmaker and his ex.
Speaking to Daily Mail ahead of his new Channel 5 series The Sunshine Murders, Peter said he was wary of letting Princess appear on TV before she 'got to an age where she could do it herself'.
The father-of-five added that he's found it hard to 'let go' of his eldest daughter after she turned 18 earlier this year.
He said: 'I was very strict about what she wasn't allowed to, you know, I didn't want didn't really want her doing a lot of stuff before she got to the age that she can do it herself.
'I'm really proud of her. I think she's a really sweet person and I really hope people see that of her and I just want her to shine and, you know, I want her to just go on and just become her own little true gem.
'She's a great girl and I'm proud of her and I'm proud of Junior too. He's such a good, good kid.'
Peter went onto share he's had to 'let go of the reins' as Princess reached adulthood, admitting he was a 'strict' parent during their upbringing.
Following his statement last week, Peter and his wife Emily are now reportedly furious by Katie's 'disgusting' swipe at their children in a video shared by her ex-husband Alex Reid.
In the video, Katie makes reference to Peter's youngest children he shares with Dr Emily, in which she brands them 'irrelevant' in front if her then 13-year-old daughter Princess.
The video, believed to have been filmed in 2020, sees Katie telling her daughter: 'Your dad is going to have to pay the school fees because of my bankruptcy. Does he moan about it? What does Emily say?
'It's money that could be spent on her and her kids. They're not going private, are they, they're irrelevant. No one even knows who they are.'
And now in the wake of the video's release, Peter is thought to be horrified by Katie's words about his kids, while Emily was left 'stunned', as a source said of the mother-of-five: 'It's a new low.'
An insider told The Sun: 'Of course the focus has been on the fact Katie is counting cash while claiming to be bankrupt, but Pete has been left horrified by what she said about his family in front of Princess.
'She would only have been about 13 then - and her mum was talking like that about her own brother and sisters. It's disgusting. Emily is stunned that anyone could speak about children like that. It's a new low.'
The source went on to say: 'Emily's really hurt by the whole thing. She's always been classy and taken the high road, but her protective, motherly instincts have taken over and she's adamant she won't let her kids be dragged down by Pete's ex.'
The insider noted that the family do not want Princess, 18, to be pulled into anymore drama, adding that Katie, who claimed to have wanted a peaceful life 'isn't leading by example.'
Daily Mail have contacted Emily's representatives who declined to comment.
Katie responded to Peter 's bombshell statement with a bizarre Instagram post about 'fake Sinners who play the victim' on Friday.
Rumours of a 'rift' between Katie and their daughter Princess have been growing in recent weeks after Katie didn't attend Princess's 18th birthday party, or appear on the nepo baby 's fly-on-the-wall ITV television series.
Katie later claimed that it was her daughter's management who had told her not to appear on the show.
In a lengthy Instagram statement, Katie pleaded 'I'm trying to be the best I can' while noting she hasn't 'always been the best mother'.
She wrote: 'Saints and sinners. As we know, in this life we are thought of as Saints and Sinners. I know I will always be a Sinner. That's fair, I allowed myself to fail into reliance on drugs and alcohol.
'At times I was not the mother I should have been while I struggled with mental illness. I have been at times a poor friend, an awful sibling, an an untrustworthy partner. I've self medicated, been unfaithful, damaged myself and those that I love.
'I've had many reasons - I was sexually abused when younger; I've had relationships that have been coercive; and my mental health issues - but I don't want to make excuses.'
Katie continued: 'I've recognised my issues and worked to put them behind me. Sometimes I tried and failed, sometimes I succeeded.
'I've pulled myself out of suicidal spiral because I love my children and want to be there for them.
'I don't pretend to be perfect by any means - but I'm trying to be the best I can. Then there are the "Saints". Some are genuine and some have helped me.
'But some Saints are not who they would have you believe they are. They have a carefully managed image which must be exhausting to maintain.
'Some Saints are fake. They play the victim and to succeed in life they need a villain... or at least a Sinner. Without the Sinner they don't get to be the Saint...
'As a Sinner - I sometimes get bored of these Saints. But maybe I should feel sorry for them, It must be such hard work having to pretend all the time.
'Anyway, all you Sinners keep your heads up and keep trying to be better. All you Saints, it's ok not to be perfect xxx'
Peter shared his side of the story on Thursday, explaining: 'For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.
'The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood.
'In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.
'In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.

Did Cristiano Ronaldo's fiancée Georgina Rodriguez debut a SECOND engagement ring?
Cristiano Ronaldo 's fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, appeared to debut a second engagement ring in a new series of snaps posted on Instagram on Wednesday. The Argentine-Spanish model, 31, posed in a skimpy white Alo set, including tiny white shorts and a matching bra, while sporting a massive rock on her finger. But the ring appeared to be different than the massive 10-carat oval diamond that Ronaldo proposed with last week. Instead, it was a giant square-cut set on a silver band, raising the question, did he give her another rock? However, it doesn't appear to have been gifted to her by the sports star as she's previously been spotted wearing it in various Instagram pictures. The bling definitely rivaled her engagement ring, which she debuted last week, looking to be almost as many carats, if not larger. She showed the ring off in multiple photos, striking poses with confidence by the Red Sea shore, capturing a stunning sunset behind her. The couple announced they were set to wed after almost a decade together in an Instagram post on Monday evening. The Argentine-Spanish model, 31, posed in a skimpy white Alo set, including tiny white shorts and a matching bra, while sporting a massive rock on her finger Confirming their engagement, the model wrote: 'Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.' According to New York City gemologist and founder of The Clear Cut Olivia Landau, Rodriguez's oval ring is worth 'several million dollars.' 'It features an oval diamond estimated to be over 10 carats, possibly as large as 15 carats,' Landau told the Daily Mail at the time. 'It appears to be flanked by two smaller oval diamond side stones, each approximately 2–3 carats. The setting is platinum with double claw prongs on all four corners,' she continued. 'Depending on the quality, the ring and center diamond are likely worth several million dollars.' Ronaldo has been dating Rodriguez since 2017, after they met at the Gucci store where she was working as a sales assistant. That same year, they also announced that Rodriguez was pregnant with the soccer player's fourth child - a daughter named Alana Martina. Then, in 2021, they announced that they were expecting twins - but tragically, their baby boy passed away during birth. However, their daughter, Bella Esmeralda, survived. Now, after tackling parenthood together, it looks like a wedding is next up on the list for the couple. 'I didn't think at the beginning that [the relationship] would be this strong. That I would fall in love with her,' Ronaldo shared during the first episode of his soon-to-be-wife's Netflix reality series, I Am Georgina. 'I didn't expect it honestly. But after a while I felt that she was the woman of my life,' he said.

The 'amazing' way Kate Middleton' shows up for her children revealed by fellow school mom
She may be a royal, but Kate Middleton is like any other mom when it comes to her kids' sporting events. Despite her busy schedule, one of Kate's fellow school moms has revealed that she is often cheering her son on at his school soccer and rugby matches. The Real Housewives of London star Panthea Parker spoke about it to Hello! Magazine during a recent interview. 'I see her quite a few times because my son's school plays against her son's school,' the TV star shared. 'They play rugby and football against each other so we're always at her school or my school. I do see her a lot but not to talk to, just from afar.' Panthea went on to praise the Princess of Wales for being there to support her kids while also managing her immense royal commitments. '[She's] so classy, so lovely, and she never misses any of her children's matches, so really amazing,' she gushed. 'And nor do I, otherwise how do I know that?' Panthea has three kids with her husband, Ed Parker, aged 11, nine, and eight; she also has a son, 30, from a past marriage. She didn't specify which of Kate and Prince William's kids she was referring to; the couple share sons Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, seven, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 10. It comes after news hit the web that the couple were looking to move their family from Adelaide Cottage into an eight-bedroom Forest Lodge property in Windsor Great Park. An insider told the BBC that they will be relocating to the 'forever home' by the end of the year, and are hoping for a 'fresh start' after a difficult time at Adelaide Cottage, during which Queen Elizabeth died and Kate and Charles received cancer diagnoses. With its chandelier-lit ballroom, tennis court and extensive grounds, Forest Lodge is a considerable upgrade from the cozy four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage where the prince and princess and their young family have lived for the last three years. Renovations are reportedly underway at the property to enable it to be ready for the family to move in before the end of the year. A source close to the family said: 'Windsor has become their home. However, over the last few years while they have lived at Adelaide Cottage there have been some really difficult times. 'Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter; an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind.' The Waleses' move will be a short one from their current main home at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, and the children attend nearby Lambrook School. It comes after news hit the web that the couple were looking to move their family from Adelaide Cottage into an eight-bedroom Forest Lodge property in Windsor Great Park (pictured) The home offers spectacular views, and Soccer fan William will be able to see the Wembley Arch from his bedroom window. The family first moved to Windsor in 2022, where they settled at the humble Adelaide Cottage a short walk away. It is believed the move out of London was to allow the family to be closer to the late Queen and to give the children a more ordinary way of life with more privacy. Adelaide Cottage also provided a private and tranquil setting for Kate's recovery from chemotherapy after she was diagnosed with cancer last year. The family has no live-in staff at their current home and this is also reportedly set to be the case once they move into this bigger abode. A Kensington Palace spokesperson told the Daily Mail: 'The Wales family will move house later this year.'
