Debenhams have slashed a huge 88% off the crystal watch and it's so popular that some colours are already selling out
Significant sales on high ticket items such as luxury watches could see shoppers saving hundreds of pounds if they know where to look. The Debenhams watch sale is a smart place to start, with incredible reductions on a number of time pieces, including from top-rated brand STÜHRLING Original.
Shoppers can save an impressive £633.75 off the StarSea Ladies' Quartz Fashion Diver Watch with Stainless Steel Link Bracelet in a deal that reduces it from £720 down to £86.25 - a saving of 88%. It's such a popular offer that two colours have already sold out, but a chic black and stylish blue are still available to snap up.
Now priced at less than £87, the watch makes an ideal gift for someone special, or a savvy time to invest in an accessory that should last a lifetime. Those that have never ordered from Debenhams before may be reassured by a customer who described the watch as 'beautiful' going to to say: "Well packaged, reasonable delivery time, as described."
The StarSea Quartz watch features a sleek 39mm case and a coin edge bezel atop a crystal-studded dial. It makes quite the statement, but is designed for both elegance and functionality, being water resistant up to 10 ATM and complemented with a link bracelet band. Reminiscent of a starry night sky, it's an unusual watch that shoppers say has garnered them 'several compliments on it already'.
For a cheaper option, the H Samuel sale is well worth a browse. The Sekonda Ladies' Grey Chronograph Dial Two Tone Bracelet Watch has been reduced from £79.99 to £40. It boasts rose gold and silver detailing, as well as a face adorned with sparkling crystals that sets it apart from the rest.
Amazon also have a number of designer watches on sale from London based brand Radley. The Women's Gold Plated Alpine Genuine Leather Strap Quartz Analogue Watch is 33% off, down to £39.99.
Nabbing the StarSea watch as a treat for themselves, one person wrote: "Fell in love with this watch online. Treated myself as a gift to me for my approaching 'BIG' birthday. So pleased when it arrived - it really is lovely. Comfortable to wear." The striking green band and dainty gold detailing gives it a sophisticated finish.
Another said: "Really pleased with watch works well looks good and good price arrived quickly as well." But, this wasn't the case for someone else, and they found the delivery and appearance of the watch disappointing, writing: "Took over a month to arrive finally received the item after sending a couple of emails to customer service. The item is not as vibrant as it looks in the picture. The blue face is rather dull in reality."
Focusing on practicality, a pleased shopper shared: "A beautiful heavy watch very high quality and keeps time excellently." Shoppers can pick up the StarSea Ladies' Quartz Fashion Diver Watch for £86.25 on the Debenhams website.

Father's Day whisky deal with stylish glasses and a single malt that 'tastes way more expensive than it is'

This fancy bundle could be the perfect gift for whisky-loving dads Getting into whisky can be an expensive hobby. Once you taste the difference between a bog standard supermarket bottle and a top shelf single malt, nothing but the best compares. Shoppers who have whisky-loving dads might be tempted to get him a fancy bottle for Father's Day, only to be dismayed at the prices of a top-tier single malt. Thanks to this deal at The Whisky Exchange, however, dads can unwrap a bottle of Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey along with two decorative drinking glasses for £34.75 - a price that apparently hides just how good this triple-distilled whiskey is. Described as a well-balanced single malt Irish whiskey, Sexton is made with 100% Irish malted barley. It's triple distilled before being aged in ex-oloroso sherry casks, giving it a rich, fruity character with notes of honeycomb. The 70cl bottle - which packs a punch at 40% ABV, comes with two pretty branded whiskey glasses - perfect for sharing a dram with dad on Father's Day. If Dad prefers a Scotch over an Irish whiskey, Master of Malt currently has the Invergordon 19 Year Old 2005—The Cooper's Choice for £74.95 for a 70cl bottle. The single-grain whiskey was distilled in 2005 and spent the next 19 years maturing, first in American oak and finishing in an amontillado sherry cask. Just 348 bottles were released for The Cooper's Choice collection, making this a special choice indeed. Alternatively, dads can try a selection of the finest Irish whiskeys with the Drinks by the Dram 12 Dram Irish Whiskey Collection, now £55.99 at Debenhams. Hidden behind the 12 windows of this little box sits a different 30ml wax-sealed dram of whiskey from some of Ireland's best producers, making this the perfect tasting box for whiskey-lovers. However, the Sexton single malt has plenty of rave reviews. One shopper said: "This liquid amber has stolen the show for me." Another said: "Pleasantly surprised. I rather enjoy Peat Whiskey however this one has been really enjoyable. Excellent over ice or a splash of water. Extremely smooth. A lovely, sweet honey taste on the end." A third added: "This is probably one of my top 5 favourite single malt whiskeys I've tried so far... Just recently started trying Irish whiskey... and it has quickly become my favourite of all. And Sexton is definitely one if the best I've tried. Especially for the price... You would expect it to cost much more, considering the depth of flavour. It ranks with the best I've tasted." With whiskey being such a personal choice, some shoppers weren't as impressed. "Very acetone forward in smell and taste. But it is very smooth on the throat. Got this as a gift from a friend who says it's great but really didn't suit my palate at all," one buyer said. "Very pleasant; smooth (as you would expect from triple distillation) but a bit short on finish," said another. That said, for a great price on a fancy bottle of single malt Irish whiskey and two pretty glasses, the Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey could be the ideal gift for Father's Day.

Asia Gold: Indian dealers offer steeper discounts as price rally dulls demand

June 6 (Reuters) - Gold discounts in India widened this week to their highest levels in more than a month, as a rally in domestic prices to near-record highs weighed on demand, while elevated rates also dampened buying across other major Asian hubs. Domestic gold prices were trading around 98,300 rupees per 10 grams on Friday, after rebounding from a low of 90,890 rupees last month and nearing the all-time high of 99,358 rupees. The spike in prices forced Indian dealers to offer discounts of up to $56 an ounce below official domestic prices, which include a 6% import duty and 3% sales tax, up from $31 last week. "Prices have gone up, and that's really hit demand. Hardly anyone was buying this week," said Harshad Ajmera of wholesaler JJ Gold House in Kolkata. Gold demand in India typically remains subdued during the monsoon season, which began earlier than usual this year. Jewellers are not making purchases because the lean demand season has started, and they don't want to build high-cost inventory, said a Mumbai-based bullion dealer with a private bank. Meanwhile, dealers in top gold consumer China charged premiums of $10-$14 an ounce over the global benchmark spot price. Last week, bullion changed hands at par to a $15 premium. "Elevated gold prices appear to have negatively impacted Chinese demand, judging by weaker trading volume," said Hugo Pascal, a precious metals trader at InProved. In Hong Kong, gold was sold at a premium of $0.30 to $1.30, while in Singapore gold traded between at-par prices and a $2.50 premium. "We've seen some of our clients coming to take profit and also on the wholesale side, we've seen some selling because prices are high," said Brian Lan, managing director at Singapore-based GoldSilver Central. In Japan, bullion traded anywhere between a discount of $0.5 and a $0.5 premium over spot prices.

Gold rises as weak US data offsets optimism from Trump-Xi call

June 6 (Reuters) - Gold rose on Friday and was set for weekly gains, as a spate of weak U.S. economic data outweighed optimism from President Donald Trump's call with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, while investors awaited U.S. payroll data. Spot gold was up 0.3% at $3,362.89 an ounce, as of 0152 GMT. Bullion is up 2.3% for the week so far. U.S. gold futures also climbed 0.3% to $3,386.20. Trump and Xi engaged in a rare leader-to-leader call on Thursday, addressing escalating trade tensions and disputes over critical minerals, though key issues remain unresolved. "Some of the initial enthusiasm for risk appetite following the Trump-Xi call has started to wear off, which has enabled gold to creep higher," said Tim Waterer, chief market analyst at KCM Trade, adding, as Trump's optimistic take masked recent weak U.S. economic data earlier. The number of Americans filing new applications for unemployment benefits increased to a seven-month high last week. Investors are now awaiting U.S. nonfarm payroll data due at 12:30 GMT, after a slew of data throughout this week highlighting labor market softness. Economists polled by Reuters forecast nonfarm payrolls increased by 130,000 jobs in May, down from 177,000 in April, while the unemployment rate is expected to remain steady at 4.2%. "The upcoming NFP release could be the catalyst for a breakout should the data produce a significant miss on either side of expectations," Waterer said. Fed policymakers indicated that inflation remains a greater concern than labor market cooling, suggesting a prolonged hold on monetary policy adjustments. Gold, often seen as a safe-haven asset, tends to perform well during economic uncertainty and in low-interest-rate environments. Elsewhere, spot silver fell 0.9% to $35.71 per ounce, still hovering near 12-year high, platinum rose 1.4% to $1,146.20, while palladium was up 0.5% to $1,010.73. All three metals were headed for weekly gains.
