"Street Fighter" Movie Loses Release, "Beneath the Storm" Shifts to July 2026 and Renamed "Shiver"
Yara Sameh
In a slew of changes to its slate of upcoming films, Sony has removed Legendary's 'Street Fighter' film adaptation, originally set for a March 20, 2026 debut, from its release calendar and shifted Tommy Wirkola's shark thriller 'Beneath the Storm,' now titled 'Shiver,' from August 2025 to July 2026.
'Street Fighter' will be co-produced and developed by Capcom, the Japanese video game developer who launched the original franchise in 1987, and Legendary, who scooped up the TV and film rights for the prolific game series in 2023.
Further details about the film, such as plot, cast, director,r and writer, are all currently unknown.
If eventually rescheduled, this wouldn't be the first time 'Street Fighter' made its way to theaters. Universal produced a big screen adaptation of the game in 1994, which starred Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kylie Minogue, Ming-Na Wen and Raul Julia.
In 2009, 20th Century Fox released its own spin on the franchise with 'Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li' starring Kristin Kreuk. Both movies were critical and commercial flops.
Wirkola's 'Beneath the Storm,' now 'Shiver,' was originally slated for release on Aug. 1, 2025, but will now have to wait just under a year to hit cinemas. The date shift was to better align the film with the summer blockbuster season.
While plot details remain under wraps, the film stars Phoebe Dynevor ('Bridgerton,' 'Fair Play'), Whitney Peak ('Gossip Girl,' 'Hocus Pocus 2') and Djimon Hounsou ('Rebel Moon,' 'A Quiet Place: Day One'). Adam McKay and Kevin Messick serve as producers.
Wirkola's previous credits include 'Spermageddon,' 'Violent Night,' 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters,' and 'What Happened to Monday.'

Yara Sameh Egyptian superstar, Sherine Abdel-Wahab will conclude this year's Mawazine Festival. Mawazine is a Moroccan international music festival that began in 2001 and is hosting its 20th edition this year. As one of the largest music festivals in the world, Mawazine attracts more than 2.5 million attendees each year. This year's Mawazine festival is scheduled to be held from June 20 to 28 in Rabat, Morocco. Sherine is set to perform at the festival's stage, Nahda, on June 28. She is set to present several of her popular and latest songs. Her first recorded song was released in 2002 as a part of an album that included works of other artists. The album was released, under the title 'Free Mix3: Tamer and Sherine' and was a big hit all across the entire Middle East and North Africa. Mia Goth Joins Ryan Gosling in Shawn Levy's "Star Wars: Starfighter"
Yara Sameh Mia Goth is headed to a galaxy far, far away. The 'Pearl' actress has joined the cast of Shawn Levy's 'Star Wars: Starfighter,' which also stars Ryan Gosling. Details of her role are currently being kept under wraps. The film is eyeing a fall production start and Disney has set a theatrical release date of May 28, 2027. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and chief creative officer Dave Filoni officially unveiled plans for 'Starfighter' at the annual Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo this April. The standalone focuses on new characters in the 'Star Wars' universe. It is set roughly five years after the events of 'Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker,' which concluded the Skywalker saga and currently stands as the final feature chronologically on the 'Star Wars' timeline. Goth will next appear in Guillermo del Toro's 'Frankenstein' alongside Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac, as well as Christopher Nolan's 'The Oddysey' with Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson. Previous credits include 'Emma,' 'Infinity Pool' and Ti West's film series of 'X,' 'Pearl' and 'Maxxxine.' 'Star Wars: Starfighter' marks Levy's directorial follow-up to Marvel Studios' hit buddy comedy 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' which raked in $1.3 billion at the global box office after releasing in July 2024 and stands as the highest-grossing R-rated feature of all-time. Jonathan Tropper has written the screenplay for the film. Etiquettes of Visiting Relatives and Friends during Eid al-Adha
Pasant Elzaitony - Yara Sameh Happy Eid! The first day of Eid al-Adha is here. The holiday always brings a sense of hope, peace, joy, and love. One of the most important aspects of Eid is family and friend gatherings, whether at home or at gathering places such as clubs or parks. There are some rules of etiquette everybody must adhere to during Eid outings and gatherings: • You should always schedule a visit before paying a visit to someone, as each person has their own circumstances that must be taken into account. • After a wedding, couples often visit family homes, you should discuss with the head of the household the kind of gift you should bring and whether it is preferable to bring fruit or a dessert. • If invited to dinner or supper, you should provide a helping hand by setting the table before and after the meal to ensure the hostess isn't overburdened. • If the family gathering will include children and teenagers and you are an uncle or paternal uncle, prepare a generous amount of money, even if it's a small amount. This will make the children very happy. Ensure the amounts of the cash gifting are equal so that no one feels left out. • To ensure the hostess isn't overburdened, leave the house as you entered it, clean and tidy. • Engage in conversation with the present, and use this time as a break from technology and cell phones. During the hours of your presence, leave your cell phone on silent to reflect the importance of this gathering to you. • Make sure to engage in positive conversations avoid touching on useless topics and focus on family-related issues. • Don't engage in side conversations and talk about topics that interest the attendees.
