Saatva's been hiding a luxury memory foam mattress — here's how to find it and save $400

If you're set on buying a premium memory foam mattress, you may well have found yourself browsing the Saatva site to see what's for sale. And that's a wise decision; Saatva is the brand behind many of the best mattresses in the business, so it's always worth seeing what it has on offer. Here's a funny thing, though: look at the Saatva site and you'll see that the only all-foam bed on offer is the Saatva Contour5. And you know what? That would be a great buy: it's a luxurious option that ranks highly in our guide to the best memory foam mattresses. But hold on a second, because there's actually another luxury memory foam bed hidden away on the Saatva site, and it's well worth investigating if you're shopping the Labor Day mattress sales. It's called the Saatva Loom & Leaf, it sells for the exact same price as the Contour5 and it's made with similar materials, and if you follow our link you can get it with $400 off in an exclusive Labor Day offer. So what's the deal with the Loom & Leaf, and is it worth shopping in the mattress sales? Here's what you need to know, Saatva Loom & Leaf: twin was $1,899 now $1,499 at SaatvaThe Saatva Loom & Leaf is a luxury mattress made with premium 5lb memory foam that provides plenty of contouring and pressure relief, along with outstanding motion isolation. And it offers enhanced lumbar support, making it a strong choice if you're looking for a mattress that can help with back pain. As an all-foam bed, however, it's prone to trapping heat, and although it comes in two firmness options it may still be too plush for some. Follow our link to get $400 off the Loom & Leaf in the Saatva mattress sales; a queen is reduced to $2,599 (was $2,999) and you'll get free white glove delivery, a 365-night home trial and a lifetime warranty. Returns will cost $99, though. The Saatva Loom & Leaf is a premium 12" memory foam bed, made with body-hugging 5lb memory foam. First sold by Saatva back in 2015, it comes in two firmness options: there's a relaxed firm model that Saatva rates a 5-7 out of 10, and a firm option rated 8 out 10, so there's an option for every sleep position. Beneath the Loom & Leaf's quilted top cover there are five layers of foam that combine to provide lower back support and breathability, while delivering just the right amount of all-body support. In our Saatva Loom & Leaf mattress review our lead reviewer was impressed by how this mattress helped with her lower back injury and noted how after three weeks sleeping on it she was waking up with almost no lower back pain. She was impressed by how the Loom & Leaf's dense foam almost eliminated motion transfer, however she did find that it was lacking in edge support and, more importantly, that despite cooling tech built into several of its layers, it had a definite tendency to trap heat. In general, however, she recommended it for anyone suffering from a sore back or joint pain, and loved the cushioned support it delivered, along with its build quality. So, why has Saatva hidden the Loom & Leaf away on its site? I have a couple of thoughts on that. The first is the Saatva Contour5. While it's not exactly the same mattress as the Loom & Leaf, it's very similar and comes in at the same price in all sizes. And as you'll learn from our Saatva Contour5 mattress review, it's much better than the Loom & Leaf at keeping cool, thanks to features like a CoolVent system that wicks away heat and gel-infused foam that also air flow channels throughout. Saatva Contour5: twin was $1,899 now $1,499 at SaatvaThe Contour5 supports all sleep positions and delivers plenty of pressure relief and minimal motion isolation. It comes in medium and firm feels, and it's an improvement on the venerable Loom & Leaf when it comes to cooling prowess. Use our exclusive Saatva link and you can get $400 off the Contour5 in all sizes, which means a queen will cost you $2,599 (was $2,999). That's a great price for one of the best and most luxurious all-foam beds on the market. Why not just ditch the Loom & Leaf then? Well, as I mentioned, it was launched back in 2015, and if you read its user reviews, you'll see that it's a well-loved mattress with some customers coming back to buy another when their old one needs replacing. So why wouldn't Saatva keep the Loom & Leaf available for returning customers? It makes its mattresses to order, so it's not a big deal to keep turning out the odd Loom & Leaf when requested, even if its memory foam focus is on the Contour5. Personally, I think the Loom & Leaf looks much nicer than the Contour 5, thanks to its quilted top and handles, even if its cooling isn't quite as good. But whichever option you choose I think you'll end up with a quality memory foam mattress.

Hot sleeper? This is the Saatva mattress I'd buy now and there's $400 off all sizes

If there's one mattress I recommend hot sleepers buy in Saatva's early Labor Day sale it's the Latex Hybrid. With $400 off all sizes when you follow our exclusive link, this bed is down to its lowest price of the year — you can get a queen size Latex Hybrid mattress for $2,099 at Saatva now. The best cooling mattresses I've tested this year tend to feature three things: breathable coil layers, moisture-wicking fabrics and temperature regulating foams (or latex foam). And the Saatva Latex Hybrid has all three. Hot sleeper or not, we could all do with cooling down our sleep spaces in the current scorching climes, so it pays to choose wisely when you're shopping for the best mattress. If you're looking to invest in a luxury bed in the Labor Day mattress sales and want an option that won't leave you sweltering in the night, here's why I recommend the Saatva Latex Hybrid mattress... Saatva Latex Hybrid mattress: twin was $1,699 now $1,299 at SaatvaThe 12" Saatva Latex Hybrid is a medium-firm, eco-friendly mattress made with Talalay latex, organic cotton and wool and responsive coils. Together, these materials allow air to flow through the mattress and wick away moisture through the night, keeping your sleep space cool and clean. Hence why we think its the best Saatva mattress for hot sleepers. And now is a great time to buy, especially if you're shopping a queen size or smaller. Saatva mattress sales often knock 15% off (when they run at all.) We've done the math and this means the $400-off deal you'll get when you use our link gets you the best saving sizes up to a queen (which will cost you $2,099, down from $2,499). Saatva's premium customer service – we're talking free White Glove delivery as well as a 365-night trial and lifetime warranty – is still included too. User score: ★★★★½ ( (280+ reviews) Cocoon by Sealy Chill Mattress: twin was $399 now $349 at Cocoon by SealyYou don't have to shop luxury for a reliable cooling bed. The 10" Cocoon by Sealy Chill Memory Foam Mattress is our best budget cooling pick of the year, scoring high across our mattress tests — and it just got a price drop too. You can now get a queen size for just $599 (was $699 until this week). Plus, you get a free sleep bundle included. We think that's exceptional value.
