‘Har Ghar Tiranga'awakening patrioticfervour, says Yogi
Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday described the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign as a nationwide movement to awaken patriotic spirit, not just a symbolic act of flag hoisting. Addressing the BJP 's organisational meeting at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, the CM said, "This is the fourth consecutive year of the campaign under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, and it has become a powerful expression of national consciousness. " Calling upon party workers to join the campaign by hoisting the national flag at their homes and encouraging others to do the same, the CM said that promoting indigenous products through ODOP scheme alongside this initiative would help build an economically self-reliant India and counter external pressures. Lashing out at the Congress and opposition parties, he said that the truth in the Malegaon case had exposed conspiracies against Hindu beliefs. Criticising the opposition for spreading misinformation around 'Operation Sindoor', he accused them of shielding anti-national forces. On the voter list revision drive, Yogi said it was not merely an administrative task but a political responsibility. He urged BJP workers to ensure no eligible voter was left out. No record of 2023 letter on forged voter entries: Chief electoral officer to ex-minister
Bengaluru: The Karnataka chief electoral officer (CEO) has said there are no records of any letter or complaint filed by former minister and Congress functionary H Nagesh on alleged forged entries in the 2023 electoral rolls of Mahadevapura assembly constituency in Bengaluru. This comes days ahead of Lok Sabha opposition leader and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's scheduled visit to Bengaluru to address alleged vote theft involving the same Mahadevpura segment during the 2024 parliamentary elections. In a communication Friday, the CEO's office responded to Nagesh's July 31 request, clarifying no such letter had been received from him during April 2023 — the time period during which he claims to have submitted the complaint. Shabbir accuses BJP of stalling BC reservation
Hyderabad: Advisor to govt Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Sunday accused the BJP of trying to stall the enhancement of BC reservation and appealed to the community to extend full support to the Congress govt's efforts to empower them socially, educationally, politically, and in other sectors. "It was the Congress govt in the undivided state that gave 4% reservation to minorities in Telangana. Despite political conspiracies to revoke it, we are safeguarding it legally through the courts. The caste survey revealed that the minorities, who constitute over 12% of the state population, about 10.08% are backward. With this data, no force can now stop minority reservations," he said. Participating in the Telangana Congress' Janahita Padayatra in Nizamabad district, Shabbir Ali credited the Congress party coming to power in Telangana to the relentless efforts of grassroots workers. "We are in govt today because of your 10-year-long struggle. You worked hard. Now it is our responsibility to work for you and help you become leaders," he said.
