Bridges prevented overtime during Game 1 with a steal, and Wednesday night's Game 2 in Boston saw him steal the ball away from the Celtics as time expired to prevent a game-winning basket. New York took the razor-thin contest after Bridges' steal, 91-90, for a surprising 2-0 series lead on the defending champs.
The Knicks will now head back to Madison Square Garden for a two-game homestead, thanks in large part to Bridges' clutch defense at the wire.
Bridges has clearly proven New York right in its decision to trade for him in the offseason with how he's stepped up when his team needed him the most. His incredibly timely steals have been crucial to securing the Knicks' 2-0 lead.
Take a bow, Bridges. You're quickly stealing the hearts of New York fans everywhere with clutch plays like this.

Report: Nets sign F Fanbo Zeng, formerly of the NBA G League Ignite
The Brooklyn Nets came into the 2025 NBA offseason with the goal of improving the roster for the 2025-26 season while taking chances on players that could be part of the franchise's future. Brooklyn has already made tweaks to the roster by adding veterans like Michael Porter Jr., but it seems that the team is also looking to take chances on young players as well. Per HoopsHype's Michael Scotto on Saturday, the Nets have agreed to a deal with forward Fanbo Zeng, who is currently considered one of the best prospects in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Scotto notes in his report that Zeng is coming off his best season in the CBA as he averaged 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 53.0% from the field and 40.9% from three-point land. Zeng, 22, first made his name known within NBA Draft circles when he attended the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Top 100 Camp in 2019, a showcase intended to show some of the best high-school players in the country. In October of 2021, Jonathan Givony reported for ESPN that Zeng would sign with the NBA's G League Ignite program in anticipation of declaring for the 2022 NBA Draft. Following the conclusion of the 2021-22 season, Zeng played in 22 games for the Ignite, but averaged just 5.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 38.5% from the floor and 31.0% from deep. After going undrafted in the 2022 Draft, Zeng signed with the CBA's Beijing Shougang where he would spend the next three seasons and play some of his best basketball. With Zeng signing to the Nets' roster, that now puts Brooklyn's total of players at 20, including forward Ziaire Williams, center Day'Ron Sharpe, and forward Ricky Council IV, whose transactions are still pending as of this writing. During the offseason, teams are allowed to carry as many as 21 players before having to cut the roster down to 18 players broken into 15 players on standard NBA contracts and three players on Two-Way deals. Romy Gonzalez hits a first-inning homer and Red Sox go on to beat Astros 7-3
BOSTON — Romy Gonzalez homered over the Green Monster on the first pitch faced by a Boston batter, Trevor Story added a two-run shot, and the Red Sox beat the Houston Astros 7-3 on Saturday. Abraham Toro added a two-run drive — one of three homers the Red Sox hit over Fenway Park's fabled left-field wall — and Story added an RBI double as Boston won its third straight. Houston's Christian Walker homered for the second straight day, a two-run shot off Walker Buehler in the first inning. The benches and bullpens cleared when Astros reliever Héctor Neris yelled at the Red Sox dugout and third-base coach Kyle Hudson at the end of the seventh. But order was quickly restored. After beating the AL West leaders on Roman Anthony's walk-off single in the series opener on Friday night , the Red Sox erased a quick 2-0 deficit when Story hit his drive in a three-run third against Colton Gordon (4-4) that pushed Boston ahead 4-2. Story's shot hit the top of a billboard over the Monster seats and bounced out of Fenway after Rob Refsnyder's RBI single. Justin Wilson (3-1) came on in the fifth inning with runners on second and third with Boston leading 6-3 and struck out the only two batters he faced. Aroldis Chapman got the final two outs for his 20th save. Gordon gave up six runs in four-plus innings. The Astros loaded the bases in the eighth against Jordan Hicks, but Carlos Correa struck out looking on a 99 mph fastball. Boston's bullpen went 4 2/3 scoreless innings. Astros LHP Framber Valdez (11-4, 2.62 ERA) is set to face Red Sox RHP Lucas Giolito (7-2, 3.80) on Sunday in the series finale. ___ AP MLB:
