Heartbreaking Corrie scenes as Debbie confirms dementia diagnosis to loved ones
Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) has been keeping a huge secret from (most of) her family recently in Coronation Street, after she was diagnosed with dementia.
Proud, independent Debbie felt like she didn't want to burden her brother Kevin (Michael Le Vell) with the news, as he's already going through a tough time with cancer treatment.
As for her relationship with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), Debbie opted to dump him rather than tell him the truth.
Debbie's split with Ronnie hasn't been easy for either of them, as they both love each other and had previously decided to get married. Ronnie has been left hurt and confused, while Debbie thinks he's already moved on as she's spotted him a few times in the company of Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).
So far the only person who knows about Debbie's diagnosis is her other brother, Carl (Jonathan Howard) – and he only found out by accident and has been sworn to secrecy by Debbie.
But all that is about to change in an episode airing soon, where Debbie takes a sudden turn for the worse and is forced to open up to her family about what's really going on.
Debbie and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) go to the Chariot Square bar for a few drinks to cheer Debbie up after she admits to Bernie that she's finding it hard to be in the same room as Ronnie.
Also in the bar is Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey), and when he causes a fuss by failing to produce ID when asked, Debbie loses it with him. We've seen Debbie becoming irrationally angry before and it's a symptom of her condition, and this time she really loses control and smashes Brody's glass on the bar.
The next day Bernie is worried about Debbie because of her behaviour at the bar but also because she forgets to pay at the cafe.
She's under pressure because there's been a flood at the hotel and she's facing having to cancel an awards ceremony, but Leanne offers to host the event at Speed Daal.

Debbie's grateful for that, but once again she sees Ronnie and Leanne together joking about something, and it bothers her. More Trending
Then Debbie suddenly collapses. She wakes up to find Kevin and Abi (Sally Carman) by her side and they tell her she has to go to hospital.
Debbie tells them there's no need for that. She knows what's wrong with her, she says – and tells them she has dementia.

EastEnders bombshell as Queen Vic's loudmouth new landlady revealed as owners Linda & Elaine put iconic pub up for sale
ALBERT Square's next landlady at the Queen Vic pub is Kat Moon, The Sun can reveal. The leopard print-loving loudmouth takes over the EastEnders boozer after owners Linda Carter and her mum Elaine Peacock were forced to put it up for sale. 8 8 8 It marks a glorious return behind the Walford watering hole for Kat — previously Kat Slater, and licensee with husband Alfie Moon from 2010 to 2013. This time, for as yet unknown reasons, it will be just her name above the door. A source said: 'This will be Kat's third time working in the Queen Vic, but this will be her first time at the helm. 'It's a full-circle moment for the character, as when she first moved on to Albert Square in 2000, Kat gained employment as a barmaid at the pub. Then, ten years on, she helped Alfie. 'But now she's going to be the sole licensee of the boozer and it will kick-start a whole new chapter for the pub. 'Kat follows in the high heels of the Square's most formidable women — Angie Watts, her daughter Sharon and Peggy Mitchell — and puts her at the centre of the action.' The move also places actress Jessie Wallace at the heart of the soap and establishes her among the BBC's most valued talent. Over the past five years, bosses have relied on Jessie, 53, as part of the soap's biggest storylines, including Alfie's prostate cancer battle and a failed marriage to Phil Mitchell. And its another show of support after Jessie got a conditional caution from cops for assaulting a police officer outside a nightclub in 2022. Kat's new job comes after she this week ties the knot with Alfie (Shane Richie) for the third time — more than two decades after first saying 'I do'. EastEnders favourite kicked out by partner in fiery argument as 'cheating' exposed They are one of the soap's most popular couples. The sale of the boozer comes after it blew up in February, claiming the lives of Martin Fowler (James Bye) and killer accountant Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman). BIG BOOZE TO FILL.. ANGIE WATTS (Anita Dobson) 8 THE Queen Vic's first lady, serving alongside husband Dirty Den from 1975 to 1988. Angie left when she moved to Spain with lover, Sonny. PAT BUTCHER 8 BOLSHY Pat pulled pints with gravel-voiced husband Frank from 1988 to 1990 but they gave up to look after daughter Janine and run a B&B. SHARON WATTS (Letitia Dean) QUEEN Vic landlady from 1991 as owners Phil and Grant Mitchell (her husband) had criminal records. She left in 1994 then returned several times. PEGGY MITCHELL Barbara Windsor 8 AFTER Phil's affair with Sharon, the brothers' mum took on the Vic with Grant — becoming the longest-serving landlady, off and on from 1994 to 2010. JANINE BUTCHER (Charlie Brooks) LANDLADY for just a few hours. She and fiancé Archie Mitchell blackmailed Ian Beale to sell up but Archie double-crossed and evicted her.

Shamed Huw Edwards' divorce delayed as he's forced to slash £750k from asking price for his family home
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SHAMED BBC anchorman Huw Edwards' divorce has been delayed as the asking price for his family home was slashed by £750,000. His TV producer wife Vicky Flind filed for divorce days after he admitted possessing indecent images of children. Their six-bedroom detached mansion in Dulwich, south London was then put up for sale for £4.75 million last October following the couple's split. 3 Edwards' wife Vicky Flind filed for divorce days after his child sex image confession Credit: nobledraperpictures 3 Shamed BBC presenter Huw Edwards' divorce has stalled after £750k was knocked off the asking price of his family home Credit: Alamy 3 The couple's six-bed Dulwich mansion was listed for £4.75m last October after their split Credit: Pedder/TNG But no buyers have come forward to take on the plush property amid fears it has been blighted by its links to the telly paedo. The property has attracted so little interest that online site Zoopla is still urging 'be one of the first to view' - nine months after it went on sale. Agents reduced its asking price by £250,000 in February - but a further £500,000 has now been hacked off as the couple attempt to accelerate their split. The couple bought the six-bedroom home for £1.85 million in 2006 and it is mortgage-free - and 63-year-old Edwards expected to rake in more than £2 million from his share of the sale. But the plummeting price means the presenter - who earned £475,000 at the peak of his career - has already lost more than £300,000 he hoped to rake in last year. He did not pay back £200,000 in wages funded by licence payers which he earned between his arrest over child sex charges and his resignation. Court records obtained by The Sun confirm that no decree absolute had been granted to end his 32-year marriage up to June 5. It was unclear whether property sale problems were affecting the divorce - which had been expected to have been finalised by February this year Edwards, 62, pleaded guilty in September to three charges of making indecent images of children and was given a six-month suspended jail term. EXC Shamed Huw Edwards seen for first time since paedo conviction as we reveal he hasn't returned any of his £200k BBC wage The material included abuse videos of children as young as seven, which he received via WhatsApp between December 2020 and August 2021. Ms Flind initially stood by her husband but asked him to leave the family home after his arrest. He has since been living between a flat in Wandsworth, south-west London, and a property in Carmarthen, Wales. His Dulwich home is described by the estate agent as 'a substantial detached mid-century family house' with 'exceptionally spacious living accommodation'. It features three bathrooms, three reception rooms, a library, an office, a double-length garage, and mature gardens with decking. The agency said it sits 'on one of Dulwich's most desirable residential roads'. The couple, who married in 1993, have three sons and two daughters.

EastEnders confirms unexpected Stacey twist as Alfie vanishes
EastEnders' Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) disappears from Walford next week following a conversation with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner). As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Stacey, along with her children Arthur (Rocco Brenner) and Hope (Isabelle Smith) went to stay with their cousin Lynne (Elaine Lordan) last month. She'd had a traumatic week, having finally plucked up the courage to face the outside world following ex-husband Martin Fowler's (James Bye) death. Just as she felt brave enough, she faced a horrific setback as Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) accidentally washed her phone, containing precious photographs and voicemails. Arthur also confessed that he had access to Martin's phone – and that Stacey had been sending text messages implying that he was still alive. Fearing that she had stopped taking her bipolar medication, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) staged an intervention. When Stacey's eldest daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) announced her intention to visit her dad Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott) in Wakefield, Stace' decided that she too should take some time away from Albert Square. Despite their absence, tensions have been running high in the Slater household. In the aftermath of Harvey Monroe's (Ross Boatman) affair with Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), he unknowingly signed on the dotted line to operate a limousine business with Kat. Love was clearly in the air, as Alfie then got down on one knee and proposed to Kat, with them deciding to get wed and use it as an opportunity to publicise the purchase of the vehicle. In upcoming scenes, Harvey's ex Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) is heartbroken to see the press coverage, which suggests that Kathy is 'Mrs Monroe.' She pours her heart out to Alfie, who is otherwise distracted by his phone. Jean then runs into Harvey, and attempts to sabotage his new venture until Alfie intervenes. He promises that he'll be there for her in the wake of her breakup, but it soon becomes clear that he's already got enough on his plate when Stacey calls him with another problem.
