Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck's romance ended for this reason... despite her 'love' of their sex life
In the forthcoming book Gwyneth: The Biography, it's revealed that the actress, 52, may have been cheated on by the actor, also 52.
An excerpt obtained by People reads: 'Their physical chemistry couldn't overcome his self-destructive impulses, which may have even included cheating on her.'
According to Odell, after the couple broke up Gwyneth, who was drawn to Ben's intellect, said, 'I love men, even though they're lying, cheating scumbags.'
It was written that the Boston, Massachusetts native 'was struggling with alcoholism and a gambling habit,' throughout their relationship.
And it was noted by the biographer, 'Her friends had reservations about him, because he didn't always reciprocate her affection.

'He at times seemed more interested in playing video games with the guys at his house than being with Gwyneth.'
Elsewhere in the coverage of Gwyneth and Ben's romance, Odell penned: 'She spoke openly about how much she enjoyed their sex life.
'She told [makeup artist and her friend Kevyn] Aucoin one day that she loved when Affleck [engaged in a certain sex act].'
The exes starred alongside each other in two films during their coupling — 1998's Shakespeare in Love, which earned Paltrow an Oscar, and 2000's rom-com Bounce.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the Goop founder told Howard Stern in 2015 that Affleck was not 'in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend' when they were together.
She noted at the time: 'I think [my parents Bruce Paltrow and Blythe Danner] appreciated how he's super intelligent and he's really, really talented and so funny, but he was not in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend.
'I think they were OK with the two of us not being together.'

More recently, while appearing on a Call Her Daddy podcast episode in 2023, the silver screen siren compared Ben to another famous ex-boyfriend, Brad Pitt, 61.
She dated Brad beginning in 1994, and the couple were even engaged.
The blonde beauty called off the engagement in 1997 because at age 24, she felt she was too young for marriage. She went on to have a three-year relationship with Ben.
Asked who was better in bed, she answered: 'That's really hard. Because Brad was like the major chemistry love of [my] life at the time. And then Ben was like, technically excellent.'
As for who was the better kisser, Paltrow insisted that Ben and Brad 'were both good kissers.'
However, she said Brad was the 'more romantic' of the two actors while she chose Ben as the one who she was 'more likely to get into an argument with.'
Asked who she regarded as the better actor of the two, she said: 'They're both so talented. And Ben is a great writer and director.
'But I guess I would probably have to say acting alone, Brad. Because if you think of all the different roles that he's done.'
Paltrow now shares two kids with ex-husband Chris Martin — daughter Apple, 21, and son Moses, 19.
She has been married to writer-director Brad Falchuk since 2018.

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star gives birth to fourth child with husband
Mikayla Matthews has welcomed her fourth child with her husband Jace Terry. On Sunday afternoon, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 25, shared the exciting news on social media and revealed she gave birth to their baby earlier this week. In her Instagram caption, she told her fans that she gave birth on Thursday, July 17 as she shared a series of photos of their first moments spent with their newborn baby in the hospital. She shared a carousel of photos of her and her husband admiring their newborn daughter and also included a snapshot of her baby's fingers holding her hand. Alongside her fourth child's date of birth, the reality TV personality — who first shared her pregnancy news on social media back in February — wrote: 'Our perfect baby girl is here.' In addition to their newest family member, she and her husband are also parents to to daughters Haven, five, Tommie, three, and son Beckham, seven. On her Instagram Story, she also shared that she had 'been keeping a secret' as she shared more photos from the first few, quiet days she and her family enjoyed with their new baby. In another slide, she said that she 'can't wait to share all the details with you guys' before sharing a teaser clip of their youngest daughter's birth story. 'We have just been so in love over here with our baby girl. She's everything we ever wanted and I'm just so happy,' she gushed over a snapshot of her cuddling with her baby. She also shared a TikTok video, sharing with her fans that she 'posted a little sneak peek of what our life has been like the last 3 days.' In her posts, her co-star Mayci Neeley also appeared to make an appearance as she is also due to give birth within the next couple of weeks. Matthews is the second to give birth this month out of the castmates as Jennifer Affleck also revealed earlier this month that she welcomed her third child. Their happy news comes shortly after it was confirmed that a third season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is in the works. Back in late February, the mother-of-four shared a video of the moment she discovered her surprise pregnancy. In her Instagram post, she wrote in her caption: 'Praying this baby heals me. So happy I [can] finally talk about this with all you guys, hahaha!' Her 'healing' comment was a reference to the chronic illness, which causes severe eczema to flare all over her body, that she's suffered from since childhood and she still hasn't received a diagnosis. 'People tell me, "Maybe this baby's gonna heal you." My fingers are crossed because I get my most anxiety about all my health stuff and giving that to my baby,' Matthews told People on Thursday. 'It's almost motivated me more to take care of my body because I'm like, "I want this baby to be as healthy as possible. I want me to be as healthy as possible."' The Leighton Meester lookalike tends to 'miss my period a lot with my health issues' and she 'didn't think I could get pregnant right now' so the couple was 'shocked' after taking the test. The influencer said she and her husband waited until she was 'about eight weeks' along before telling their three kids that they would be welcoming another little one to the family. 'We waited until after my first ultrasound to tell them,' Matthews — who plans on having six total children — recalled. 'We actually told them on the show, and they were so excited. They said Santa brought them a baby for Christmas. It was so sweet.'

Courtney Stodden breaks down in tears over past 'abuse' as she struggles with sobriety
A makeup-free Courtney Stodden has broken down in tears during a new video shared on Thursday. The 30-year-old reality TV star is on day three of giving up alcohol and is feeling a change inside and out. Not only is she breaking out in pimples on her face and chest, but painful memories from the past are rising to the surface and flooding her thought process. What struck her the most is the memory of her first husband, the much-older Doug Hutchison - a 65-year-old actor whom she calls her former 'groomer' - giving her alcohol. The Washington native said he would drink 'bottle and bottles of alcohol' a day and pushed her to drink too so he could 'control' her. But these days Stodden does not want to feel 'out of control,' so she is staying away from the booze even if the journey is challenging. The cover girl also noted that many of her friends are not happy that she has decided to be sober as they won't know what to do with 'healthy' Stodden, but she will stick with her plan no matter what and won't take up drinking again just to please her pals. 'If people don't get it, then maybe they shouldn't be around,' said Stodden who wore a beige bra with two Van Cleef & Arpels necklaces. The caption read: 'The painful truth.' Earlier this week the former teen bride told that she is 'very happy with the decision' as she works on her 'sobriety journey and overall health.' 'Giving up alcohol also helps with my mental health,' Courtney, who has recently signed on for a new Lifetime biopic, shared. 'I feel better without it.' The wife of movie producer Jared Safier then explained that she had reached for drinks when she felt stressed by fame. 'Alcohol was my escape for years, but it turned into a trap,' shared Stodden to 'I used it to survive trauma, but it ended up making me feel more lost and ashamed. This breakup isn't just with a substance—it's with a version of myself I'm ready to leave behind. 'At some point, blacking out stopped being cute. I used alcohol to deal with pain, but all it did was make things messier—and make me louder in all the wrong ways. I'm finally cutting ties. Alcohol and I? Total toxic ex energy.' More Americans are abstaining from alcohol consumption. This trend is particularly noticeable among younger adults, who are increasingly embracing a 'sober curious' lifestyle, according to Time magazine. The Washington native said he would drink 'bottle and bottles of alcohol' a day and pushed her to drink too so he could 'control' her. But these days Stodden does not want to feel 'out of control,' so she is staying away from the booze even if the journey is challenging Stodden broke the news of her newfound sobriety on Instagram on Tuesday as she began, 'Alcohol, I'm breaking up with you. It's been a toxic relationship for years. 'Something I used to cope, to escape, to survive. But it's hurt me more than it's ever helped me—publicly and privately,' wrote the siren. 'Last night was the last time. I'm done letting it control me. I'm done feeling sick and ashamed. I want to be fully present in my life. I want to face my past, my trauma, and my current reality with clear eyes and real strength. To those who understand this battle—thank you.' Stodden also shared: 'Please respect my space as I walk this new path. It's not easy, but it's necessary.' The pinup model who resembled Marilyn Monroe also wrote: 'This is something I've gone back and forth about posting. But my life has always been so public and this is a big part of my healing.' Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend Crystal Hefner commented, 'I am so proud of you. I haven't drank since 2009 and it's the best thing. Life is so much brighter and happier without the poison bringing me down. You got this.' Stodden replied, 'Soul sis❤️.' Former talk show host Ricki Lake added, 'You got this.' The cover girl also noted that many of her friends are not happy that she has decided to be sober as they won't know what to do with 'healthy' Stodden, but she will stick with her plan no matter what and won't take up drinking again just to please her pals; seen on Wednesday This comes after Courtney shared her feelings on her tragic teenage bride story after her 14 year wedding anniversary. The beauty told that tying the knot with A Time To Kill actor Hutchison was a bad move and she won't pretend otherwise. She was just 16-years-old when she married Hutchison, who was 51 at the time, at a Las Vegas wedding chapel in 2011. 'It stays with me, the pain, I won't stay quiet,' she told adding Doug was 'emotionally abusive.' The model then said: 'My voice is my power and for every voice silenced, I'll shout louder. And I won't ask for permission to do what's right. Not anymore. I speak for that little girl within.' Stodden added: 'I am living life on my own terms now. Everything that's happened in my life, I have handled. I am strong, resilient. I am coming back to myself. I will never let anyone silence me again.' And she wants to help others: 'I want past victims and survivors to really tap into that part of themselves. We are so strong.' She has appeared on a string of reality TV shows such as Couples Therapy, Celebrity Big Brother and Hollywood Hillbillies.

Read the bizarre 'anti-bridezilla clause' hidden in my wedding DJ's contract: 'Unhinged'
A bride-to-be was left stunned by a peculiar clause contained within a contract from a prospective wedding DJ. The American woman, who is planning her upcoming big day, recently shared her experience after being 'referred' to a local DJ who had 'great reviews'. But after enduring an epic three-hours long 'intro Zoom' online meeting with the wedding day musician, she received a bizarre contract from him the following day. Posting sections of the strangely punctuated contract to Reddit 's 'Wedding Shaming' thread, the most peculiar inclusion was an 'Anti-Bridezilla Clause'. The clause included on the fourth and final page of the contract read: 'You Agree not to become a Bridezilla, have a Temper-tantrum, a Crying Fit, become MeloDramatic, become Hyper-Selfish, Throw things, or engage in Any Defamation.' A bracketed sentence underneath the 'Anti-Bridezilla Clause' added: '95% of our Couples are Reasonably Mature; we are really trying to Weed Out/Prevent the Bottom 5%'. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the woman later revealed that she and her finance did not book the wedding musician. But the outlandish clause was only the tip of the iceberg within the confounding four-page agreement document. It included assurances that the DJ was not 'Cheesy', 'Generic' or 'Hyperactive' - unlike others in the profession The contract included extraordinary details about the DJs service being unlike others in the profession who 'just come & Blast Generic Cheesy Line Dances & rap all night'. It also detailed the DJs assurance to not 'Show Off' or be 'Hyperactive' throughout the nuptials - even detailing their 'classy' planned outfit of a 'Navy Blue Blazer & Bowtie'. The unnamed DJ also pledged to 'Do my Best to be Easy-To-Talk-To & a Joy-To-Work-With unlike most DJs that have Hidden Attitude Problems'. The contract saw the DJ confirm that 'unlike many DJS who try to 'pick up chicks at gigs', I will be treating your guests with Respect as a Classy DJ'. The final price on the contract listed a Security Deposit of $1745 and a remaining balance payment of $900. In reply to the Reddit post, commenters had a field day picking apart not just the 'Anti-Bridezilla Clause' but other outrageous elements such as the extreme clauses, sales-y wording and unusual syntax. One Redditor reflected on the entire unorthodox document: 'The capitals. The "1990s infomercial" tone. The content and list of services that is just on the functional side of unhinged.' A second person wrote: 'The first two pages of this is just an ad... Get to the point without all the hard sell and badmouthing your competitors.' Another jokingly added: 'And don't forget he will be "classy" not "cheesy" like all those other drunk, obnoxious , women chasing DJ's'. A concluding point in the contact even saw the DJ offer to take on wedding planning duties for the big day as an added value feature. To this point, one person replied: 'That is absolutely unhinged.' Others failed to see the funny side of it all, identifying that the document had a 'general creepiness' to it and contained 'so many scare quotes'. Specifically in reference to the 'anti-bridezilla' clause, some commenters felt it was 'kind of misogynistic'. To this point, one commenter replied: 'If I got this contract and all the madness before hadn't thrown me off yet, that casual misogyny would be the part where any chance if me hiring that guy would go straight out the window.' The original poster agreed with one commenter who noted that the over the top agreement document read like a 'manifesto'. The bride added: 'That's how we felt. Half ransom note/half manifesto.'
