Ex-Steelers QB Kenny Pickett named 'worst player' at Browns OTAs
Former Steelers QB Kenny Pickett is struggling at Browns OTAs.
Some have argued that the Browns' four-man QB room is the joke of the NFL — and if that's true, Pickett may be the punchline, as ESPN Cleveland host Aaron Goldhammer provides some disheartening news on the former Steelers QB.
According to Goldhammer, Pickett was behind veteran Joe Flacco and rookie QBs Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel at Day 3 of Browns OTAs. Here is what the ESPN Cleveland host had to say on Pickett's less-than-spectacular performance:
"Best quarterback at OTAs yesterday, from what I heard — and I talked to 20 people that were there — consensus best quarterback: Joe Flacco. Consensus second-best quarterback: Shedeur Sanders. Consensus third: Dillon Gabriel. Consensus worst player at OTAs: Kenny Pickett."
Pickett previously claimed that he was thankful for his time with the Eagles — as he supposedly learned what success was supposed to look like. Well, he may need some of that Philly magic again, as he's currently losing the QB competition in Cleveland to a 40-year-old veteran QB and two rookies.

Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class is expected to continue growing this summer, heading into the 2025 season. As we've already witnessed under head coach Mike Elko, recruiting the entire country has not been an issue, with the team dominating the East and West Coasts, similar to former head coach Jimbo Fisher. This month, Texas A&M will host a wide range of elite 2026 prospects, which now includes four-star tight end Evan Jacobson out of Waukee, Iowa. Standing at 6'7" and 200 pounds, Jacobson is already an elite red zone target who thrives in the seam, possessing enough speed and twitch to outmaneuver smaller defenders. Playing in a run-heavy offense, which is very common in Iowa, Jacobson has been Waukee's most reliable receiving target throughout his starting career, thriving in the short game. At the same time, his size advantage has made him a sneaky deep threat. Like many tight end prospects, Jacobson will improve as a route runner once he enters a collegiate program. In Texas A&M OC Collin Klein's tight end-centric scheme, he could turn into one of the better SEC tight ends going into his second or third season. According to the man himself, Jacobson will head to College Station on Thursday, June 5, and spend the weekend with the Aggies for his first official visit. ‘Chiseled' Cole Holcomb ready to make impact in return from injury
PITTSBURGH, Pa. (BLACK AND GOLD NATION) – Cole Holcomb is the forgotten member of the Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker room among fans. The last time they saw him; Holcomb was being carted off the field due to a gruesome knee injury that he suffered back in November of 2023. 'He's been here every day working since he's been injured,' Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick said. Holcomb didn't want to dive too deep into his injury, which wasn't disclosed to the media. However, he made it clear that retiring wasn't on the table. '(My mindset) was just do everything I got to do to get back, just go to work, come to work every day and prove myself again,' Holcomb said. Over the past year and a half, Holcomb has been with the team during his recovery process. During Tuesday's Organized Team Activity practice, some of his teammates realized just how different he looked since he last played in an NFL game. 'Honestly, he looks more chiseled and swole than he was before he got hurt,' Fitzpatrick smiled. Holcomb's physique isn't the only thing that looks different in the team's linebacker room. Since his injury, the Steelers have added Patrick Queen, Malik Harrison and Payton Wilson, who is expected to step up tremendously heading into his second season. 'I feel like we have a whole room of dudes that can run and cover,' Holcomb said. 'We have a room full of three-down linebackers, which is pretty awesome.' No matter what Holcomb's role looks like for the 2025 season, his journey over the past 18 months has impressed plenty of his teammates.
