Why Taylor Swift Didn't Join Travis Kelce at Cannes Lions

Elle4 hours ago

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been enjoying traveling together during their time out of the spotlight, but this week, it seems they're flying solo. It doesn't appear the singer joined Kelce in Cannes, France, where the Kansas City Chiefs tight end spoke with his brother, Jason, during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity yesterday. Swift wasn't spotted in the crowd watching the Kelce brothers talk about their podcast, New Heights, on the Amazon Port panel stage, and no photos have come out of her in France this week either.
Kelce spoke at Cannes Lions last year, and Swift didn't attend then, even though she was in between U.K. Eras Tour shows. At the time, Caroline McCarthy, a marketing executive and former journalist, wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) that, despite rumors, 'most people involved in Cannes planning have known for weeks that Taylor Swift wouldn't be coming to #CannesLions2024. Travis was told explicitly not to bring her because the security needs would overwhelm the city.'
The same security concerns exist this year, providing one potential reason for her absence. Additionally, a source told Us Weekly on June 4 that Swift and Kelce were trying to keep their relationship more private. 'They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention, but there isn't trouble in paradise,' the insider explained.
Kelce and Swift have been seen out this month, however. The couple attended the fourth game of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final in Sunrise, Florida, on June 12.
One day later, Swift visited Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, and told a patient she met there, 'My boyfriend is training here, so I just thought I'd come and see how you're doing.'
Her remarks confirm People's report from the end of May that Swift was staying in Florida 'to support and spend time' with Kelce during his NFL offseason. Kelce will report to training camp in Kansas City, Missouri, later this summer, kicking off his preseason.

Auburn QB Deuce Knight is leading the recruiting push for five-star WR Cederian Morgan

Auburn QB Deuce Knight is leading the recruiting push for five-star WR Cederian Morgan There is no greater factor in Auburn's pursuit of Cederian Morgan than freshman QB Deuce Knight. Auburn football is aiming to land the No. 1 player from Alabama in the 2026 cycle, and it is using its prized freshman quarterback as its weapon. Five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan took his official visit to Auburn over the weekend, where he spent time with current players and worked on developing his connection to wide receivers coach Marcus Davis and head coach Hugh Freeze. Freeze and Davis have been active in recruiting Morgan for quite some time; however, the recruiter who has been on Morgan "the most" is freshman quarterback Deuce Knight. "I know Deuce (Knight) is a great quarterback who can give me the ball however I need it, so that'll be a big plus for me. I think if I did come, I'm probably going to get a year with Deuce, two years with Deuce, something like that, and then it'll be next up," Morgan said in an interview with Auburn Undercover. "So kind of both. Looking to who's here in my class and what other players in my class are going to be here, because our junior and maybe senior year, that's who we're really going to be, the team is going to be around." According to both 247Sports and On3, Auburn and Alabama are the top contenders for Morgan ahead of his July 2 commitment date. According to his quote to Auburn Undercover, Auburn's recruiting haul may be the deciding factor in whether he comes to the Plains. Auburn is currently No. 55 in the 247Sports 2026 rankings, so a few commitments from strong offensive weapons could ultimately sway him to Auburn. Tight end Travis Kelce, franchised guard Trey Smith attend Chiefs minicamp

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Four-time All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce and Pro Bowl right guard Trey Smith, who skipped voluntary workouts after receiving the franchise tag, were present for the start of the Kansas City Chiefs' mandatory three-day minicamp Tuesday. Kelce also was absent for the voluntary workouts that had been open to reporters in recent weeks. Smith is hoping to land a long-term contract with the Chiefs, who chose him in the sixth round of the 2021 draft, when his stock had plummeted amid health concerns. He has far outplayed that draft positioning, though, and that is why the Chiefs gave him the franchise tag — essentially a $23.4 million guaranteed salary for the upcoming season. Smith and the Chiefs have until mid-July to work out a new contract, otherwise he will play the season on the one-year deal. Smith was not made available to reporters Tuesday, but the fact that he reported to the mandatory minicamp — rather than risk a potential fine — was noteworthy. Two years ago, defensive tackle Chris Jones held out all summer and into the start of the regular season before eventually agreeing to a contract with Kansas City. 'It's good (Smith) didn't take my approach,' Jones quipped. 'He shouldn't take advice from me.' While the Chiefs worked through several lineups during the roughly 90-minute session, Smith's decision to report did give them an opportunity to see what their revamped offensive line could look like this upcoming season. After they struggled to protect Patrick Mahomes for most of last season, and especially during a lopsided Super Bowl loss to the Eagles, the Chiefs began the makeover by trading two-time All-Pro left guard Joe Thuney to the Bears for a draft pick in March. The Chiefs proceeded to draft Josh Simmons, an offensive tackle from Ohio State, with the final pick in the first round. Simmons was widely considered the top tackle available, but he was coming off a knee injury that caused him to slip to the 32nd overall pick. The Chiefs were confident in their medical workup on him, though, and that gamble appears to be paying off: He was on the field and moving around well during the start of the minicamp. 'Just trying to be available as I can right now,' he said. It's unclear whether Simmons will be a full participant when training camp begins in late July, but things appear to be trending in that direction. And that raises hopes around Kansas City that Mahomes will finally have a capable blind-side protector. 'I wanted to be able to throw the pads on ASAP,' Simmons said. 'Whatever the staff allows me to do, I'm definitely going to do.' Meanwhile, the Chiefs are hopeful that second-year pro Kingsley Suamataia can continue his transition from tackle to guard, and take Thuney's place alongside Simmons on the left side of the line. And when they are joined by All-Pro center Creed Humphrey, Smith at right guard and veteran Jawaan Taylor at right tackle, the Chiefs could have their best offensive line in years. ___ AP NFL:

"Huda, You're In Danger Now, Girl": People Are Still Recovering From That Suuuper Dramatic "Love Island USA" Episode

Sunday's explosive Love Island USA episode is still replaying in my mind, and if you're a fan of the show, I'm sure the feeling is mutual. Spoilers ahead, so if you aren't all caught up, please don't scroll any further, unless you want to end up BIG MAD. Episode 12 was exactly what viewers needed, because it was completely unexpected. Host and fellow crash-out queen, Ariana Madix, surprised the islanders with a recoupling controlled completely by fans. For the first time ever, fans were able to vote on who the bombshells would couple up with. Well, America has spoken, and they decided that Olandria is better suited with newcomer Jalen; Hannah has great chemistry with Pepe, and that Jeremiah should get out of his Huda bubble and explore things with Iris. Outside of Ace cracking up about the swap, the rest of the cast was completely shocked to see Huda up for elimination as Jeremiah received a new partner. While fans got to choose the recoupling results, the Islanders were forced to decide which vulnerable contestant should go home, between Huda, Taylor, or Charlie. After all this, Charlie was ultimately sent home. Now, we're dealing with the aftermath of those decisions, so the future episodes are bound to be messy AF! I mean, Episode 13 was equally as wild, so I can't wait to see what's to come. People on the internet had a lot to say about it, but before we get into the online reactions, I want to hear from you. These are probably the most talked-about topics from the episode, so I'm truly interested to see how you feel about them: Okay, now let's get into what people are saying on X (better known as Twitter): Oxygen / Twitter: @PEACHYBLACKG0RL Twitter: @feminterrupted Zeus / Twitter: @itsKARY_ Reaction Memes / @chopperluvcandy / Twitter: @chopperluvcandy Peacock / Twitter: @Realitea_TvJunk Peacock / Twitter: @Ai3oy All Reaction Videos / Twitter: @devilangelxc Peacock / Twitter: @savandaya Paramount Pictures / Twitter: @fineshyt3000 Twitter: @ttavarius0 Peacock / Twitter: @laughingl0ud NBC / Twitter: @_Terrelljames VH1 / Twitter: @mortalslut Saint Hoax / @gabriellelouden / Twitter: @gabriellelouden Whew, I know movie night is going to be one for the books! Okay, what are your thoughts on the recoupling? Share them with me in the comments! Be sure to tune into Love Island USA on Peacock daily at 9 p.m. ET.
