Stranger Things creator hypes up season 5 in new update — promises their 'favorite, most eventful first episode' and more

Tom's Guide3 days ago
We're all waiting for "Stranger Things" season 5 to come to Netflix later this year, and we've just gotten a progress update courtesy of the series' creators, the Duffer Brothers. Over on Instagram, Ross Duffer recently revealed that they've officially locked the first two episodes of "Stranger Things" — and he's hyping up what's in store.
Alongside behind-the-scenes photos of title cards for "The Crawl" and "The Vanishing Of...", he teased that the series premiere was their "favorite, most eventful first episode" since the first chapter, and that episode features "the craziest cold open" they've ever done.

"Chapters One and Two: locked, mixed, scored, colored, DONE," Ross wrote in the captions.'The Crawl' is our favorite, most eventful first episode since Season 1. 'The Vanishing of…' (yeah yeah you think you know who blah blah) has by far the craziest cold open we've ever done. One of the sequences we're most proud of this season."
One thing Ross wasn't allowed to share was how long these first episodes will be — "I would tell you runtimes, but I was told not to", he added — but given the brothers have previously billed the final chapter as being "like eight blockbuster movies," , we could well be streaming some feature-length future installments later in the year.
Given how exciting that recently released "Stranger Things" season 5 trailer was and that David Harbour has called the finale "the best episode they've ever done", I'm feeling more and more confident that this is going to be worth the wait. Here's hoping the show can deliver on all that hype.
If you're not already aware of the "Stranger Things" season 5 release schedule, the final, eight-episode season has been split into three separate volumes.
Volume 1
November 26
Episodes 1-4
Volume 2
December 25
Episodes 5-7
Volume 3
December 31
Episode 8
Volume 1 arrives on November 26 and will contain episodes 1-4. Volume 2 will feature episodes 5 through 7 and is scheduled to drop on Christmas Day (December 25), and the series finale will drop a few days later on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Bloodhounds Season 2: Latest updates on Release date, cast and plot details

By Aman Shukla Published on August 9, 2025, 18:30 IST Last updated August 9, 2025, 11:04 IST Man, Bloodhounds Season 1 was a total gut-punch, wasn't it? Those insane fight scenes, the bromance between Kim Gun-woo and Hong Woo-jin, and that raw take on shady loan sharks had us all glued to Netflix back in June 2023. With 146.7 million hours watched and a spot among the top K-dramas of the year, it's no shock fans are losing it waiting for Season 2. Good news: it's happening! Here's the latest dirt on when Bloodhounds Season 2 might drop, who's in the cast, and what kind of wild ride the plot's got in store. Release Date Speculation For Bloodhounds Season 2 Nobody's spilled an official release date yet, but there's enough chatter to make a decent guess. Cameras started rolling in September 2024, and word is they'll keep at it until April 2025. Season 1 took about a year and a half from filming to streaming, so late 2025—maybe November or December—feels like a safe call. Some folks on X are hyping a summer 2025 premiere, but that's probably wishful thinking with production still chugging along. There's also a random post floating June 5, 2026, but that's not confirmed. Best bet? Mark your calendar for late 2025 or early 2026, and keep your Netflix subscription ready. Cast Updates: Who's Returning For Bloodhounds Season 2 The core of Bloodhounds is its badass cast, and Season 2's bringing back the champs: Woo Do-hwan as Kim Gun-woo, the ex-marine who throws punches like he's settling a personal score. Lee Sang-yi as Hong Woo-jin, Gun-woo's loyal bestie with a big mouth and bigger heart. Now, here's where it gets spicy: Jung Ji-hoon (Rain) is joining as Baek-jeong, a cutthroat boss running some sketchy underground boxing league. Rain as a villain? First time ever, and it's got fans buzzing like crazy. Another newbie, Hwang Chan-sung (yep, from 2PM), is jumping in for a big role, but the details are locked tight. Oh, and Choi Siwon (Super Junior) is back as Hong Min-beom, the rich dude who helped out last season. Plot Details: What to Expect in Bloodhounds Season 2 Season 1 was all about Gun-woo and Woo-jin teaming up with a good-guy moneylender to smash Kim Myeong-gil's evil loan shark empire, Smile Capital. It was a bloody, emotional win, but the finale teased more trouble brewing. Season 2's taking things to a whole new level with a global illegal boxing league run by Rain's Baek-jeong. This guy's no small-time crook—he's got power, probably some dirty connections, and he's dragging our boys into his messed-up world. Drawing from Jeong Chan's Bloodhounds webtoon, here's what's likely coming: Crazier fights : Rumors say the budget's bigger, so expect some jaw-dropping, bone-crunching action. New bad guys : With Smile Capital toast, a nastier crew—maybe tied to some big-shot politicians—steps up. Going global : The underground boxing league could mean new cities or faces, making this a worldwide showdown. More heart: Gun-woo and Woo-jin's backstories should get some love, plus stronger female characters after fans spoke up last season. Kim Joo-hwan, the guy who directed Midnight Runners , is back to keep the vibe gritty and real. Expect Season 2 to hit hard on real-world issues like crooked systems while serving up the kind of action that makes you cheer out loud. Is ‘Our Beloved Summer' returning for season 2? Everything we know so far

Our Beloved Summer really captured hearts with its perfect blend of romance and nostalgia. Everyone's been swooning over the amazing chemistry between Choi Woo-shik and Kim Da-mi. Since the show wrapped up back in January 2022, fans have been buzzing non-stop, hoping for a second season. So, what's the scoop? Let us share everything we know so far. A Quick Recap of Our Beloved Summer Our Beloved Summer tells the story of exes Choi Ung and Kook Yeon-soo, who swore they'd never see each other again after a rough breakup. But when a high school documentary they made goes viral, they're thrown back together. The 16 episodes, aired on SBS and streamed on Netflix, blend laughs, tears, and real-life feels. With an 8.9/10 on IMDb and 88% love from Rotten Tomatoes fans, it's no wonder people are dying for more. Is Our Beloved Summer Season 2 Happening? As of August 2025, there's no official news from SBS, Netflix, Studio N, or Super Moon Pictures about a second season. K-dramas often wrap up in one go, and this one gave a happy ending with the couple married. Still, the show pulled solid ratings—kicking off at 3.2% nationwide and climbing to 5.2% by episode 12—so there's reason to think it could come back. The finale tossed in a tease about the couple filming a new documentary as husband and wife. That's got fans dreaming up new stories, but without a green light, it's all just hopeful chatter. What Could a New Season Bring? If Season 2 happens, it might follow Choi Ung and Kook Yeon-soo as a married couple. The first season tied their story up nicely, but new episodes could dig into stuff like juggling work, family, or new dreams. The show's knack for real, heartfelt moments would likely mean more laughs and warm fuzzies. Expect to see faves like: Choi Woo-shik as Choi Ung, the chill artist. Kim Da-mi as Kook Yeon-soo, the go-getter with heart. Kim Sung-cheol as Kim Ji-ung, the ride-or-die pal. Roh Jeong-eui as NJ, the idol with feelings. Side folks like Park Won-sang as Choi Ho or Jeon Hye-won as Jung Chae-ran might show up too, maybe with some new characters to spice things up. When Could Season 2 Premiere? If they give the green light for Season 2 soon, the timeline from Season 1 might offer a clue. They started filming back in July 2021 and the show was out by December that same year — so it took around 11 to 14 months altogether. If they follow a similar schedule, we could maybe expect the new season sometime in late 2026 or early 2027. But hey, that's just speculation until there's official word. Binge Smarter: Use These Netflix Secret Codes to Find What You Really Want

If it feels like Netflix keeps showing you the same handful of titles, you're not imagining it. The recommendation algorithm often cycles through a familiar lineup, making even a huge library seem limited. But behind the usual menus is a little-known trick that can open the door to a much broader selection: Netflix's secret category codes. These codes sort the catalog into incredibly specific genres you won't find on the standard homepage. You can browse everything from cheesy '80s horror flicks to wholesome teen romances or fast-paced "short-ass movies" under 90 minutes. Once you start using them, the hunt for something new gets easier, and your watchlist gets a serious upgrade. If you're ready to break into the annals of Netflix and discover something even more exciting than what the service is showing you, then keep reading.
