Hugh Bonneville's Robert, the Earl of Grantham, has appeared to kiss his country estate goodbye in the trailer for Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.
The movie is promoted as bidding "farewell" to the Yorkshire-set series about the life of the landed gentry and their servants that began with a TV show before a series of films.
It sees the return of Bonneville; Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary; Elizabeth McGovern as Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham; Laura Carmichael as Lady Edith; Jim Carter as the butler Charles 'Charlie' Carson; and Joanne Froggatt as Anna Bates.
The teaser begins with the family attending an opulent day at the races, and Mr Carson as an announcer saying: "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to 1930."
The following clips show London theatrical productions, Dominic West as Guy Dexter and Lady Edith telling Lady Mary that she will be a "sensation".
The family then return to Downton Abbey, where a painting of Dame Maggie Smith's Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham, who died in the 2022 film Downton Abbey: A New Era, is shown along with dances and the staff.

Last year, Oscar-winning actress Dame Maggie died in September at the age of 89, with Bonneville remembering her at the time as a "true legend of her generation".
The trailer shows the words: "It's almost time to bid farewell" before ending with the family and staff all waiting outside the grand estate, while the Earl presses his finger to his lips and then places them on the wall.
Starting as a series in 2010, the programme won a number of awards, including 15 Emmys, with three of them going to Dame Maggie for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series.

The series, the final of which aired on TV on Christmas Day in 2015, has also won a special TV Bafta award and earned Dame Maggie a nod.
Released in 2019, the first film in the trilogy depicted a royal visit to the Crawley family and Downton staff, while the second film, Downton Abbey: A New Era, saw them travel to France after Violet inherited a villa.
Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will release in cinemas on September 12.

Chris Martin surprises fans with impromptu pub gig in Calderdale
Children in their pyjamas and their parents lined up outside a small community pub in West Yorkshire last night after hearing that Chris Martin was performing an impromptu gig. The Coldplay star showed up to the Puzzle Hall Inn in Calderdale for an hour-long set before chatting and taking pictures with fans and even giving out tickets to his Hull show on Monday. "He made a big fuss of it and said he would 'treasure it forever'."He just came across as a really nice guy and said thank you to everyone on the way out." There were only about 100 people in the audience and another fan said that after chatting to him about some local disadvantaged children, Martin gave them 10 tickets to his next show at Craven Park Stadium in Hull, the penultimate stop on his world tour. Mr Varley, who is on the board of directors for the Puzzle Hall, said the venue did have an inkling Martin would be coming but most of the punters had no idea. He added: "It would have had to be kept under wraps due to security otherwise thousands of people would have turned up."The Puzzle Hall Inn is a "real ale pub" in Sowerby Bridge that supports "local people, suppliers and independent business", according to its website. EMMERDALE'S John Sugden has made a twisted accusation against brother Robert in a bid to remove him from the village once and for all. The killer - who is played by actor Oliver Farnworth in the ITV soap - married Robert's ex-husband Aaron Dingle last year despite the obvious connection between the exes. 2 2 John has been desperate to get rid of Robert since his release from prison, but in a way that keeps his family on side. So unable to send him back to prison for attacking him, John has come up with a new way - and used his nephew Harry for it. In today's episode John encourages Harry to play on his drums in a bid to trigger Robert's PTSD - and it works. Robert loses his temper just in time for John to swoop in and save the day and comfort Harry. The ploy, that then sees Robert convinced that he's a danger to Harry, and subsequently breaks down and decides to leave the village. Actor Ryan Hawley explains: 'John sets up a situation where Robert's left alone with Harry. 'Robert's having difficulty dealing with his his circumstances at the moment, and PTSD, and he's not sleeping very well. 'He's got a kid that, by his own admissions, he's not good at looking after. 'He has him out of necessity, while Victoria goes to work or she has to go help out a friend that's broken an arm or something, and Robert stays with him. 'John encourages him to be disruptive and to kind of trigger Robert, which he does. Robert loses his temper, and John walks in on it and sees it.
