ONE couple from A New Life In The Sun wanted to build a dream house for one of their parents, but it still did not go to plan.
On the Channel 4 show, singers Ellie and Gary from Nottingham bought a huge guesthouse.

The 10-bedroom property in Central Bulgaria cost them just £13,000, and it even came with a swimming pool.
After work dried up, the couple moved lock stock and barrel to Europe with their daughter Millie.
Initially, things on A New Life in the Sun: Where Are They Now?, went well for the couple.
The pair managed to get their huge home up to scratch ready to welcome guests for a bed and breakfast escape.
However, they bought the empty plot of land next door as they planned to build a state-of-the-art bungalow for Ellie's mum Linda.
Although work started on the new home, it soon came to a standstill as the couple engaged in a battle with the local authorities.
They were left frustrated by all the bureaucracy as they didn't get the correct planning permission on the A Place In The Sun spin-off.
Ellie said: "We've been focusing on the planning for mum's house, which it finally came through."
While Gary admitted: "Yep, it didn't go according to plan like we knew it would and it was all paperwork."
They thought the job would only take a few months, but they were wrangling with the system for over a year.

Linda was then forced to live with the couple for over a year as they built the second dream home.
The duo were left fuming about the progress of the home as they showed the camera their bulging file of documents.
Ellie explained: "That's the building visa that says we could build. But then you've got documents.
"First we had to get documents from the electric company saying they'll supply electric, then we had to get another document saying they'll do the work, and then another one when it's signed off."
Gary was clearly even more frustrated having to live with his mother-in-law as he remarked: "It's crackers".
Glaring down at the pages of documents in front of him, he added: "Look at it! Everything gets stamped [and] signed.
"There must be 50 different things!"
When progress resumed, Linda wasn't ready to move into the house for another few months.
When she eventually moved out of the guesthouse, nothing was straightforward in the bungalow as it had no running water.
In order to fill up the kettle to make tea, Linda would have had to improvise by using the exterior hosepipe.

Ellie, who regularly shares insights into her day-to-day job at the supermarket giant, posted a video demonstrating her well-honed technique for rapidly shredding chickens using just her hands. The 22-year-old deli worker's viral video showed her explaining that hand shredding multiple hot roast chickens is a standard task carried out throughout the day in-store. At regular intervals, unsold roast chickens are taken from the warmer to be shredded, chilled and sold at the deli counter as cold meat. The deli worker explained that many customers prefer to buy cold shredded chicken for a salad or sandwich, but don't want to commit to a whole chook. She originally intended for her 'chicken shredding tutorial' to serve as a guide for other deli store workers tasked with the same job. But the video has caught the attention of tens of thousands of people, thanks to its clever shortcut that simplify the daunting task of shredding a whole roast chicken. Popping on two-layers of gloves to protect her hands from the heat, Ellie explained that the first step was to pull the skin back from the chicken and discard it. 'And why is that? You want to release some of the heat (from the hot chicken)... And we don't want the skin in our shredded chicken,' Ellie said. From there, Ellie pulled the chicken apart, piece by piece, using of her both hands. Wrapping her hands around the chicken breasts, Ellie demonstrated how to neatly and cleanly lift them off before piling them on an empty tray. The next step was to grab one of the drumsticks and flip over the chicken to easily access the underside. Using both hands again, Ellie lifted each chicken thigh simultaneously, demonstrating how it 'comes off really quick' – before adding the pieces to her tray pile. 'You don't want any of the dark meat (for shredded chicken) though, so make sure, you're not getting any of that,' she advised. The deli worker explained that it's store policy to extract around '450 grams from each chicken', alluding that the breast and thigh alone were sufficient, and that the remainder of the chicken would be discarded. Ellie explained that the next step was crucial - making sure no bones were left behind in the pile of chicken pieces. 'This is what we do: we've got our gloves on (and you just) mush it down. You're pushing it down, getting it into every crevice of the (tray),' she explained. Ellie demonstrated this pressing motion, showing how the clever technique reveals any stray bones. Once she was satisfied that the chicken was bone-free, Ellie moved on to the final shredding stage. Working systematically across the tray, Ellie explained that she was simply 'squishing' and 'kneading' the chicken through her gloved fingers to pull it apart. 'There you go – quick and easy,' Ellie concluded. Her video has been viewed more than 330,000 times - with some fellow deli workers stunned that they'd never been taught the systematic method. 'I work at Woolies and couldn't help myself, might need to pass this expertise onto our deli crew,' one supermarket employee said. Comes in handy so much at home,' one said. 'I feel very prepared for chicken shredding,' another shared. Some offered an alternative method for quickly removing chicken pieces from the carcass. 'An even faster way is to massage the chicken in the bag it literally falls off the bone,' one suggested. When one Coles customer exclaimed that the technique could potentially be saving her money, Ellie helpfully chimed in that difference was marginal, detailing the pricing breakdown of hot roast chicken versus shredded deli chicken. '$12.50 roast chicken = approx. 450g shredded, that's approx. $27.8/kg,' she said. 'We sell the shredded chicken for $27/kg but have to sell it within the day so often discount it by about 7pm. But you do get the rest of the chicken with the rotisserie.' Some said they were 'mind blown' after seeing the chicken shredding technique while another joked: 'Do I work at Coles? No. Did I watch the whole thing? Yes' Others agreed that even though they had little practical use for knowing how to shred a chicken, they found it 'satisfying' to watch Ellie complete the task with ease and efficiency.

The Last of Us fans may be expected to wait a lot time for the release of season three of the hit HBO show... Fans of the HBO hit series The Last of Us can likely expect a long wait for the third season of the critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic drama television series. Season two of the drama finished last week, with some fans branding it as "disappointing". The season finale ended with Bella Ramsey's character Ellie confronting vengeful killer Abby, who is played by Kaitlyn Dever. The series is based on the video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog, which was released in 2013 on Xbox and Playstation. The show quickly became a fan favourite due to viewers enjoyment of the game. Despite mixed reviews for the season finale, it was already renewed for a third season ahead of the season two release date. Similar to the game, the next season is expected to shift to Abby's perspective. At a press conference last month, according to Vulture, co-creator Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann admitted they still aren't sure how much viewers can expect to see characters Ellie, Dina (Isabela Merced), Tommy (Gabriel Luna), and Jesse (Young Mazino) in the next season. This led fans to believe the creators haven't completed writing the season yet. This theory was later appeared to be confirmed by Bella, who recently told Variety that they hadn't "seen any scripts," yet. When Bella was asked whether their character would take on a smaller role in the third season, the 21-year-old said: "I haven't seen any scripts, but yes, I do expect that. I think that I'm going to be there, but not a whole bunch." Although they did not give anything away, they continued: "We've had conversations about that. It has to have an end. So I'm not going to go past." Fans of the show could not be more upset with the long wait for season three, as they took to social media to discuss their upset. One fan wrote on Reddit: "I don't understand why they didn't just film season 2 and 3 at the same time or at least make season 10 episodes and have parts of 5. Honestly and a lot of people agree with me on this 2027 to see another 7 or 8 episodes is a joke." Which promoted another viewer to reply: "They should have made season 2 as long as it took. 15 or 20 episodes. Just f*****g do it." As a third replied, showing their distrust to HBO: "The current head of HBO sucks and is making terrible decisions."
