Smash-and-grab burglars crash car into famous Fairfax sneaker shop
The incident was reported at about 5 a.m. on the 400 block of North Fairfax , according to the Los Angeles Police Department. When officers arrived, they found a blue Toyota Camry that was driven into the front of Solestage, a high-end streetwear and sneaker shop.
The suspects fled on foot and were yet to be located as of 7:40 a.m. Police said that items were taken, although it's not yet clear how many and what the estimated value is of the stolen goods.
Images captured by KTLA on Friday morning showed the Camry inside the shop with broken glass on the ground.
Solestage is well known for being among the shops used in the popular 'Sneaker Shopping' webseries by Complex. The series follows celebrities browsing stores and picking out their long-sought-after sneakers.
Recent guests who shopped at Solestage on the show include Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James, rapper Freddie Gibbs, WNBA star Angel Reese and actor Samuel L. Jackson.

Two car crash in Solano County kills one person, injures several
One person was killed and several injured in a two car crash on Highway 12 in Solano County on Friday, the CHP said. The crash occurred at 5:03 p.m. when the driver of a tan Toyota Camry tried to pass a big-rig in the eastbound lanes of Highway 12 west of Highway 13 in Rio Vista, according to CHP Sgt. P. Crow. The driver swerved, lost control and entered the westbound lanes of Highway 12 where the Toyota was struck by an oncoming Nissan Pathfinder. The Toyota driver died at the scene and the passengers in the Nissan were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. KCRA-TV reported that the Nissan was carrying four occupants. The highway remained closed as the CHP investigated the crash. Lanes reopened at about 9:30 p.m.

In an interview with local media outlet KTLA in Los Angeles, the mother of the child, Rebecca Haro, said the incident occurred outside Big 5 Sporting Goods, where she went to buy a mouthguard for her older son's football practice. Haro said she brought her 7-month-old with her and noticed he needed to be changed. "I was going to get the diaper and somebody said, 'Hola,' and I don't remember anything since," Haro, who has a black eye, said in tears, KTLA reports. "I woke up here on the floor," she said, adding that she did not see the child afterward. What People Are Saying Jake Haro, the infant's father, in an interview with KTLA: "Whoever took my son, please return him. We just want him back. ... We won't do anything to you. Just give us our son. Keep him safe, don't hurt him, make sure you feed him and change him."
