The Dallas Cowboys traded for quarterback Joe Milton III earlier this offseason with the hope he could develop and serve as backup for franchise quarterback Dak Prescott.

So far, so good ... as Mike Fisher of CowboysCountry.com reports that the 6-6 second-year prospect with the cannon arm took second-team reps this week at OTAs.
As NFL fans know, Milton impressed during his one regular-season appearance with the New England Patriots as a rookie last season.
In New England's Week 18 win over the Buffalo Bills this past January, Milton completed 22-of-29 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for a score.
"I went in there and did what the play caller and head coach wanted me to do, and that's win the game," Milton said. "I didn't know what was going to happen. It was the last game of the season. I was just going off happy. I went out with a win in my first game ever in the NFL. That's pretty much all I was thinking about, until two months later and boom, I'm here."

While speaking to reporters on Thursday, the Florida native spoke about 'looking for a fresh start' with the Cowboys after just one season with the Patriots.
"It did catch me by surprise," Milton said about the trade. "Was I surprised? Yes. I woke up around 7:00 a.m., woke up to a call and knew I was getting traded. Only thing I did at that moment was thank God. I'm blessed. Coming here was a blessing. I didn't know it was going to be here. My agent said there were multiple teams that called. I didn't know where I was going to end up. I was just thankful to go somewhere."
To many in Cowboys Nation, this was less of a surprise, as Dallas' rumored interest was well known. And now that "Bazooka Joe'' is getting to know his way around The Star?
He's got four reasons to view the move as a "blessing,'' as he lists 1) the warm weather, 2) an indoor stadium, 3) "It's America's Team!'' and 4) the opportunity to learn from Prescott.

With the Cowboys, Milton plans to continue honing his skills as an NFL quarterback as he embraces his new environment and teammates. ... with all parties hoping for more "blessings.''

'These are wild statements to make,' Bryant posted on X. 'Excuse my silliness. I'm going to proudly tell my boys football is none of these things. I have nothing against Gays, but this is far from right.' He then followed up with a subsequent post that included much harsher commentary. 'It's gay players in the NFL, but forcing it in people's faces, especially children, can send the wrong message,' he said. 'Football is a real community, like the gay community. Imagine telling gays they have to advocate for straight people. They probably would have a problem.' Pride Month is a celebration of the history and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community. It is held in June to commemorate the historic Stonewall Riots on June 28, 1969, which marked the launch of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. The NFL has acknowledged Pride Month since 2017. However, this is not the first time Bryant has said something off-putting. During his tenure with the Cowboys, Bryant has become one of the most outspoken players. Often saying and doing things that have gotten him in hot water. In 2012, he was involved in a physical altercation with his mother, Angela, that was caught on tape by TMZ. She said he hit her with a baseball cap and tore her shirt as she was trying to break up a scuffle between Bryant and her brother. At one point, Bryant owned a capuchin monkey. That invoked the ire of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). He called former Cowboys teammate Sean Lee a 'snake' and called out the team's playcalling.
