Steph Curry returns to the American Century Championship in 2025, aims to reclaim title after Olympic break
Golden Warriors
star Steph Curry is heading back to the links this weekend in pursuit of another title after skipping the American Century Championship for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Recently, he uploaded some pictures on his social media where he could be seen playing Golf. In the caption, he wrote:
'Off to the races - need that Curry Belt back in my hands!'
Soon, along with more than 90 sportsmen and entertainers, he will compete in the American Century Championship alongside his father, Dell Curry, and younger brother, Seth Curry. As an active
NBA
player who participated in the competition for the first time in the 1990s, his father is excited to play with his boys once more in Lake Tahoe.
As per Forbes, he said:
'Steph has won it, the only active player in any sport to win it… He's eager to get back, and just like the year he won it, he has a good shot to win it this year. With a second-round exit this year, he's had time and will have time to work on his game. But it's just a great week for me to spend some time with my two sons on the course..."
On the other hand, in an exclusive conversation with NBC Sports on Thursday, the 2023 ACC champion talked about getting over his
golf tournament
slump. He is aware that he has done everything he can to prepare. He told the outlet:
"So I've learned playing in this tournament for what 10, 11 years, you have expectations, and you're trying to -- it's almost like pulling an all-nighter for a test, trying to cram everything… Because, you know, I play a decent amount, but nobody ever says, 'I play enough golf or practice enough.'

"Height to hai hi nahi": How Mohammed Siraj convinces Shubman Gill for the perfect DRS; watch video

Mohammed Siraj is widely known for his fiery pace, but on Day 4 of the third Test at Lord's, it was his sheer self-belief that stole the limelight. The defining moment came in the 12th over of England's second innings when a sharp nip-backer from Siraj struck Ollie Pope on the pads. Without hesitation, Siraj turned to captain Shubman Gill and confidently declared: "Saamne hai bhai, height to hai hi nahi." — StarSportsIndia (@StarSportsIndia) Gill appeared momentarily uncertain and glanced toward his teammates. But with only six seconds left on the DRS timer, Siraj's conviction proved persuasive. The skipper went for the review—and Siraj was absolutely right. The ball had jagged in past Pope's hesitant bat and hit the front pad. UltraEdge confirmed there was no bat involved, and HawkEye revealed three reds—the delivery was set to crash into the top of leg stump. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Join new Free to Play WWII MMO War Thunder War Thunder Play Now Undo An elated Siraj pumped his wrists and let out a roar as teammates swarmed him in celebration. The crowd at Lord's erupted, echoing the Indian team's energy. Pope had once again been caught in two minds—neither coming forward nor going back—and paid the price with his wicket. That dismissal was Siraj's second of the morning. Earlier, in the sixth over, he had removed Ben Duckett , whose mistimed pull off a 140kph back-of-a-length delivery was comfortably taken by Jasprit Bumrah at mid-on. But it was Siraj's animated celebration that drew attention—charging toward Duckett and giving him a shoulder bump, a clear sign of the simmering tension from the day before. Live Events India were still bristling from Zak Crawley's deliberate time-wasting antics at the close of Day 3, which denied them the chance to bowl one more over. The move had sparked a heated exchange between Crawley and Gill, with Duckett also stepping in. His early dismissal, followed by Pope's LBW via DRS, signaled a strong shift in momentum toward India. Tom Brady proudly backs niece Maya Brady as NCAA Softball star eyes Olympic glory

Tom Brady hypes up niece Maya Brady (Image via Getty) NFL legend Tom Brady is shifting the spotlight to the next Brady star — his niece, Maya Brady, a standout in collegiate softball. Over the weekend, the seven-time Super Bowl champion shared a proud moment from the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), where Maya continues to dominate the diamond. With his football career behind him, Brady is now cheering on family from the sidelines. The Brady name is making waves once again — this time, on the softball field. Elite Genes: The Brady athletic legacy expands beyond football Maya Brady, currently a senior at UCLA, has become one of the biggest names in NCAA softball. With a career .384 batting average and 71 home runs, she's more than just a promising player — she's a force. She was the No. 2 recruit in the nation in high school, where she batted .558 and smashed 25 homers. Her rise reflects years of hard work and a drive to excel independently of her famous uncle. View this post on Instagram A post shared by ColorsTV (@colorstv) Maya's mother, Maureen Brady, is a former All-American pitcher at Fresno State, cementing softball as a family passion long before Maya took the stage. The athletic talent runs deep, and Maya is continuing that tradition with her own mark. On Instagram, Tom Brady proudly posted, 'Can't wait to watch @mayabrady_ rake,' offering fans a glimpse into their close-knit bond. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Our one of a kind Patented Cold Water Extraction Process Superior Ginseng Undo It's clear the Brady dynasty is evolving — from the gridiron to the softball field. Her recent participation in the AUSL has bolstered her profile and built momentum around her Olympic aspirations. Competing at that level would make her the first from the Brady family to represent the U.S. on the diamond. She said in an interview, 'It's an honor to carry on the Brady name.' Meanwhile, Tom Brady — who was once drafted by the Montreal Expos as a catcher before choosing football — understands the intensity of elite sports. With a Hall of Fame induction around the corner, his attention is now fully on family. Maya is clearly a rising star in his eyes, and his public show of support only boosts her growing visibility in sports media.
