"I've been single for six years and in that times I've been celibate as well," Jon, 43, confessed.
He then admitted he is looking for a lad who is a bit "rough" around the edges.
Jon then reunited with Atomic Kitten's Kerry Katona at the first mixer of the series.
The pair have been friends for years as they were in the music scene around the same time in the early noughties.
Jon's journey to looking for love again has certainly been eventful, with the star recently admitting he was sectioned after battling a secret drug addiction.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jon revealed that he got into crystal meth - a highly addictive 'party' drug that can cause psychosis, hallucination, paranoia and mania.
This was when he was in his thirties - long after S Club had gone their separate ways.
He explained: "I didn't even recognise myself at that time.
"Sometimes, in the midst of one of the psychotic episodes where I'd be smashing my flat up with a hammer, I'd catch sight of myself in the mirror and say: 'What the f***?'.
"I'd have a moment of lucidity, thinking: 'I was a successful young man, I had a brilliant career, incredible life. What am I doing?'

"I'd be standing there, holes in the walls around me, cuts all over my knuckles, my eye swollen from where I'd been punching myself in the head.
"I'd shaved my hair too. I didn't look anything like Jon-from-S Club – or what people would expect Jon-from-S Club to look like."
One night, six years ago, his neighbours were so concerned they called the police and Jon was taken to a clinic in an ambulance where he was sectioned.
"I remember I had to keep the door open, and someone sat outside. I suppose I was a danger to myself, " he recalled.

Jon also admitted he got into another party drug, GHB, a type of liquid ecstasy, which can easily be overdosed on.
In the depths of his despair, he claims he often took four times the dose, hoping he wouldn't wake up the next day.
"I'm not sure how I'm still here," he told the publication, admitting his "regret" at putting his family through such an ordeal.

S Club 7's Jon Lee, 43, reveals he hasn't had sex in SIX years on Celebs Go Dating after 'traumatic' dating past
S Club 7 's Jon Lee didn't hold back in Celebs Go Dating launch episode on Monday night as he revealed he hasn't had sex in six years. The singer, 43, recently opened up on his 'traumatic' dating past that made him swear off looking for love. And as he dipped his toes back into the dating game, Jon confessed to the shocking revelation. In his opening VT, he said: 'I've been single for six years and in that times I've been celibate as well.' Speaking about his 'ideal man', he said: 'Someone who is a bit rough around the edges but seems like a quite, nice and fun guy.' Jon revealed to Daily Mail his Celebs Go Dating stint followed a series of 'traumatic' dating experiences which saw him nearly swear off finding love for good. The singer recently opened up on his 'traumatic' dating past that made him swear off looking for love He said: 'I thought [after] my last relationship, I was just like, "I'm done", I just really did not want to date at all. 'I thought I was very happy being single, I was single for six years, very, very happily single for six years. 'You know when it's just traumatic, you're just like, "I don't want to do that anymore", so yeah, it was kind of a big thing for me to come and do this. 'My mate said, "If you don't do this, you're going to end up single forever".' His friend's advice gave him the courage he needed to make his last do or die attempt at romance on Celebs Go Dating. 'It was sort of like… what can really go wrong? So, I thought I might as well give it one last hurrah', Jon explained. Getting to the point where he feels ready to look for love again has taken a lot of work. The musician recently opened up publicly, for the first time, to Daily Mail, about his lifelong battle with addiction, which nearly killed him and erased a good chunk of his adult life. Jon revealed to Daily Mail his Celebs Go Dating stint followed a series of 'traumatic' dating experiences which saw him nearly swear off finding love for good Jon started out as a a child star on the West End aged 12, before being plucked from thousands of fresh-faced hopefuls to be part of the hugely successful S Club 7 when he was only 16. He had dabbled in softer drugs during his pop star years and readily admitted he used alcohol to 'help me be the person I thought I had to be'. But it was only in his thirties – when his pop career seemed like a distant dream, and he was pursuing a career in musical theatre – that he was introduced to crystal meth. He found himself sectioned, having the neighbours call the police on him and intentionally overdosing on GHB in hopes of taking his own life. The musician explained how bad it got at one point: 'I didn't even recognise myself at that time. 'Sometimes, in the midst of one of the psychotic episodes where I'd be smashing my flat up with a hammer, I'd catch sight of myself in the mirror and say: "What the f***?". 'I'd have a moment of lucidity, thinking: "I was a successful young man, I had a brilliant career, incredible life. What am I doing?"' Jon has since recovered, with the help of his three rescue dogs, moving to Cornwall to live next door to his mother, sister and nieces and returning to perform S Club gigs with his former bandmate Jo O'Meara. He also took a near three-and-a-half-year break 'just walking' across various European cities, completely cut off from his family and friends, funded by income from rental properties he bought in his S Club years. Dating could only come after this kind of complete stabilisation, he has since confessed to Daily Mail, ahead of his appearance on Celebs Go Dating. 'When you go into a relationship or you start a relationship, you need to be 100 per cent comfortable and happy with who you are', he said. 'If you're going into it and you're kind of all over the place and you're looking for someone to fix you in some way, you're doomed, you have to be solid when you go into it. 'And someone needs to add your life not support it, because then if they're gone, then you're f***ed. And that was another reason I've been single for so long.' Jon has long been out to his nearest and dearest but he only came out publicly after S Club split in 2010. Does it feel intimidating to date so publicly, on a reality show, after feeling like had had to hide his true self for so many years? 'For me, it's a testament to how far I've come. So, I don't feel the need to be hidden or I don't feel the need to step back and hide myself', he said. 'And for me, that feels good, it's taken me years to get there but it feels good to be able to stand on TV as a very proud gay man and I'm happy with who I am.' The singer was also very close with his father, who sadly passed away from motor neurone disease in 2019. He had previously been relying heavily on alcohol and recreational drugs - but it was his father's diagnosis in 2014 that had sent Jon over the edge into harder usage. Jon explained: 'My dad was always my champion, my dad was always my number one fan and my hero. 'So, he was always proud of me no matter what I did. But yeah, he would be very proud to see me, to see what I went through.' He alluded to some even more breakthroughs in the course of the show's therapy sessions. 'I think everybody was able to really open up and be honest and maybe say things they hadn't ever said out loud before', he confessed. 'I think once you start, the floodgates open. And it just all kind of comes out.' Jon seemed to hint at it helping him being able to start a new kind of romance. 'I'm in no rush to do anything, I'm happy to just take each day as it comes and see what happens and make sure whoever I'm with or not with or whatever, that we're sort of looking after each other', he said.

Moment Christine McGuinness shares doubts over joining Celebs Go Dating as she panics 'this isn't normal' before quitting the show
Christine McGuinness showed clear signs she wanted to leave the programme during the first episode of Celebs Go Dating on Monday night. The model, 37, who announced she had quit the show in May, appeared visibly uncomfortable during the mixer when the celebs were tasked to pick someone to take to Ibiza in the hope they would get closer. But all seemed too much for Christine as she insisted on 'taking a minute' outside with her fellow co-star Kerry Katona. She panicked: 'I need a minute, I can go for a minute can't I? I don't want to just take someone away. 'How can I go abroad with someone I've just met? This is just not normal.' When it was announced she would appear on the show, it was revealed that Christine would be up for dating both men and women on the show. Christine revealed it felt 'too soon' for her to date so publicly following her divorce from ex-husband Paddy McGuinness. She had already flown to Ibiza to begin filming the series with the rest of the cast but told fans she was 'returning home to her family' after having a change of heart. Revealing the news on Instagram, she said: 'I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention is brings is just too soon for me.' Christine also said that she may appear in the future, adding: 'They've said the door is always open for me which I'm so grateful but for now I'm returning home to my family.' Talking on Celebs Go Dating, Christine said: 'I feel like I'm a couple of steps away from being my new self and not 'Paddy's wife'. I'm coming out of the transition part. 'I am single and I absolutely do love women. I'd love to explore that more and I definitely see that's where I'm more comfortable.' She added: 'When I was a teenager, I dated men and women before I was married and now I'm really, really just enjoying spending time with women. 'For the last three years, I've only ever dated women. I was never heterosexual, I've never labelled myself anything other than Christine, to be honest.' But all seemed too much for Christine as she insisted on 'taking a minute' outside with her fellow co-star Kerry Katona She panicked: 'I need a minute, I can go for a minute can't I? I don't want to just take someone away. How can I go abroad with someone I've just met? This is just not normal' When it was announced she would appear on the show, it was revealed that Christine would be up for dating both men and women on the show Christine was married to TV presenter Paddy for 11 years before they split for good in 2022. After they stayed living together for the sake of their three children - twins Leo and Penelope, and daughter Felicity, who have all been diagnosed with autism - the exes finalised their divorce out of court last summer. Christine revealed how 'difficult' the break-up had been for her after the pair's marital home, a Cheshire mansion worth £6.5million, was put on the market. She said: 'I've never spoken about the reasons for our divorce, and I don't know if I ever will. 'It was a difficult time. It wasn't something that, you know, I just decided to do overnight, or that we chose to do. 'We tried, and, yeah, there just, unfortunately, there was no repairing it, you know?' Discussing her appearance on the show before deciding to quit, the TV personality has admitted that she hasn't 'dated much before' so this will be a new experience for her. She said: 'I'm really excited to be joining the agency, I'm going to have a summer of fun! Who knows what might happen? I've not really dated much before, so I feel like I'm doing a crash course! 'I'm looking forward to getting to know the other celebs and I'm especially looking forward to the coaching side of things with the agents. I think that's going to be good for me.'

Hollyoaks confirms Sienna's fate as aftermath of Jez showdown is revealed
Hollyoaks has confirmed that Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) will live following her showdown with dastardly killer Jez (Jeremy Sheffield) – but an unexpected twist follows. The much-loved show favourite, as viewers know, uncovered the truth about evil dad Jez earlier this week after finding Robbie Roscoe's (Charlie Wernham) body at the allotment. Robbie was one of several characters killed by serial killer Jez, who has been claiming lives for much of his, documenting his kills in a disturbing journal which he keeps at the flat. Sienna had some knowledge of Jez's brutality when she discovered that he'd killed Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith) earlier this year and, in unsettling scenes, she assisted him in burying the body. Jez vowed that he had turned over a new leaf and Sienna hoped that he was telling the truth. However, things took quite a turn last week when she learned via Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) that Dilly's DNA had been found in connection with Dennis and Ian Stone the social worker. Given that Dilly died in January and Ian was killed just a matter of weeks ago, it didn't take long for Sienna to work out that something was awry. Desperate for answers, the former high school teacher made a beeline for the allotment, where she uncovered Jez's grisly crimes, unearthing the body of Robbie Roscoe, who had also been killed by the murderer. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Monday's (August 11) edition of the Channel 4 soap dealt with the aftermath of the discovery as Sienna demanded that Jez come clean over his actions. Jez wasted little time in showing just how twisted he truly is, basking in his killer nature as he told Sienna he was relieved that he no longer had to hide from her. Utterly appalled by the depths of his evilness, Sienna feared for the lives of her loved ones, reminding him that he's already killed family members in Dilly and Dennis. In tense scenes, Sienna raced across the city walls and made a phone call to Dodger – but Jez intervened. A dramatic face-off ensued, with Sienna pushing her villainous dad away. As he teetered on the edge of the faulty railing, he pulled Sienna with him as the two plummeted to the ground below. The immediate aftermath of the showdown will be revealed on-screen this week but new spoilers for next week confirm that both Sienna and Jez escape the situation with their lives intact. Their memories, however… well that's another story. In upcoming scenes set to air next week, Sienna tells Jez and Liberty Savage (Jeramy Stoddart) that it's looking unlikely that will ever regain the lost memories. Liberty worries that SIenna is keeping something from Jez. It seems there is more to this than meets the eye as, at one stage during the week, Sienna logs on to a chatroom, hoping for advice on having a serial killer as a father. Later, she frantically tries to sell the stall and stock, much to Lib's horror. More Trending Afterwards, Sienna pays a visit to see Dodger at the station but before she gets to speak to him, Jez arrives. The question is: is the truth coming back to Sienna? And either way, will Jez claim her life? Or is the clock finally ticking on the villainous gardener? Will Sienna prove instrumental in taking him down? Will Liberty finally see him for who he is?
