The heavy metal vocalist, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019, died at the age of 76 on Tuesday morning surrounded by his family.
Christine Turner, from the Hodge Hill area of Birmingham, wore her Aston Villa football shirt to pay tribute to Osbourne at the Black Sabbath mural in the city.

She said her father was a childhood friend of the rock star and they used to play football together in Lodge Road, where they grew up.
She told the PA news agency: 'He has been a big part of our lives, my dad was childhood best mates with him, so I've come up to pay my respects.'
When asked how she felt when she heard he had died, she said: 'Shocked. I think deep in our hearts we knew it was coming, but it was still a shock last night.
'I was supposed to have done the washing last night but it didn't get done after I found out at about quarter past seven.
'I was upset, tears were shed last night.'

Jimmy Smith, from Bristol, who was in the city to visit the Ozzy Osbourne exhibition at Birmingham Museum, stopped at the scene on Wednesday morning to pay his respects.
He told PA: 'I did like Ozzy, I saw him a few times back in the day. It was quite sad yesterday (when he died), but with the concert at Villa Park a few weeks back, I had a feeling it was coming. It felt like his final bow.
'I was up here a few weeks ago for the Iron Maiden concert so I knew the mural was here, so I thought I would come and have a look, and I'll also go to the Black Sabbath bridge before going to the museum.'
Two Black Sabbath fans from King's Norton jumped on a train to visit the mural of the band in Birmingham to pay their respects to Osbourne following his death.
Megan and Mia, who did not want to give their surnames, said they wished they had been able to go to Osbourne's last show at Villa Park on July 5.

Megan said: 'It was really sad and heart-breaking (to hear he had died), I think I was expecting it to happen soon but not that quick.'
When asked how it felt to visit the mural after Ozzy's death, Mia said: 'It's surreal but it's nice that people have put flowers out.'
Mia added that she believed the next Aston Villa football game would be 'even more packed than usual' in Osbourne's memory.
She said: 'I know there will be some form of respects paid to him at the game, definitely.'
Osbourne played a final farewell concert in front of a home crowd at Villa Park earlier in the month.
Black Sabbath were the last to appear on stage as part of a star-studded line-up for the Back To The Beginning concert that took place not far from the Crown pub where they played their first gig in 1968.

Also paying his respects was Black Sabbath's first manager, Jim Simpson, who spoke on Broad Street, where dozens of fans had gathered to pay tribute to the rock legend.
When asked how he felt when he heard the news Osbourne had died, Mr Simpson said: 'Deep sadness, but no surprise, because it's been on the cards for quite a long time.
'He even said beforehand that he expected to die on the stage at the July the fifth show at Villa Park. The world's lost an inordinately nice, balanced, human being.'
Referencing the amount of people who had turned up to pay tribute to Osbourne following his death, he said: 'The fact is, there are people here who are 80 years of age or eight years of age and all stages in between and it shows he had a remarkable way of contacting people.
'It has been 55 years and still (Black Sabbath) are more popular than ever.
'It is remarkable and they have all done a great job and they should be proud of themselves.'
Black Sabbath, comprised of vocalist Osbourne, drummer Bill Ward, guitarist Tony Iommi, and bassist Terence 'Geezer' Butler, formed in 1968 and were credited with shaping the heavy metal genre.
The group were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 and Osbourne was added for a second time, as a solo artist, last year.
In the noughties he featured in MTV series The Osbournes, which followed the lives of him, his wife Sharon and two of their children, Kelly and Jack.

Jack Osbourne's relatively unknown siblings as he returns to TV

Jack Osbourne's relatively unknown siblings as he returns to TV As the Osbourne family mourn the loss of their beloved husband and father, Ozzy Osbourne, we take a look at his relationships with his six children The Osbourne family is mourning the loss of their beloved patriarch, Ozzy Osbourne, who sadly passed away at the age of 76 on 22 July. ‌ The cause of death has not been confirmed, but it's known that the Black Sabbath frontman had been battling Parkinson's disease since February 2019, which significantly impacted his health in recent years. ‌ As they grapple with their loss, Ozzy's youngest son, Jack, is set to return to television just days after his father's passing, as he competes in the fifth series of ITV's celebrity cooking competition, Cooking with the Stars. ‌ The show, hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen, was pre-recorded before Ozzy's untimely death. Jack will compete against a host of celebrities including Love Island star Ekin-Su, EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy and former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips. Each celebrity is paired with a culinary expert who guides them through each round. However, those with the lowest scores face a cook-off and receive no help from their mentors, who can only watch from the sidelines. In a cruel twist, the mentors of those in the bottom two will have to participate in a blind taste test to decide who progresses to the next round, potentially sending their own protege home. Jack Osbourne's five other siblings (Image: Getty) ‌ Sharon Osbourne breaks down in tears as she views tributes to Ozzy during procession READ MORE: Jack, a podcaster who is no stranger to television appearances, will feature on the show this Sunday, reports the Express. Throughout Ozzy's life, unbeknownst to many, the rockstar actually fathered six children, meaning that Jack has five other siblings - not just Kelly, who is widely recognised as his sister from their time together on MTV's At Home with the Osbournes. Before Sharon and Ozzy tied the knot, the Black Sabbath legend had been previously married. He met his first wife Thelma Riley in a Birmingham nightclub before they exchanged vows and welcomed two biological children together, Jessica, 53, and Louis, 50. Sharon and Ozzy are parents to Aimee, Kelly and Jack (Image: Getty) ‌ Thelma was also the mother of five year old Elliot from a previous relationship when she met the lead singer. Ozzy would later adopt Elliot and raise him as his own. However, the three children do not have fond childhood memories with their daredevil father and in a 2011 documentary (produced by Jack Osbourne) when Ozzy is asked about Louis and Jessica's birthdays, he fails to remember when each of them were born. In the same series, Louis revealed details about growing up with Ozzy: "When he was around and he wasn't [drunk], he was a great father. But that was kind of rare, really. I just have a lot of memories of him being drunk, random s**t like driving cars across fields and crashing them in the middle of the night and stuff like that. "It's not good for family life, really," he explained in the documentary. His elder sister, Jessica also remarked: "I don't remember being put to bed or having a bath by dad or anything like that. I wouldn't say he was there for us, no, never on sports day, school trip, parents' evening. He wasn't like that, no." ‌ The Osbourne family is actually much bigger than most would think (Image: Getty) In 1982, Ozzy and Thelma divorced and that same year he wed Sharon, who was his manager at the time. Twelve months later, they had their first daughter Aimee on September 2nd 1983, followed by their second daughter Kelly on October 27, 1984. They eventually had their youngest child, Jack on November 8, 1985. Whilst many admirers know two of Sharon and Ozzy's offspring - Jack and Kelly - Aimee chose to stay out of the spotlight when the former X Factor panellist decided to allow MTV's cameras into her house. Refusing to participate in filming, she left the family residence in the early 2000s to follow her own musical ambitions, performing under her initials ARO. ‌ In a previous chat with the Independent, she looked back on her choice to step away. She confessed to the magazine: "Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television? I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable." In a 2008 interview with the same publication, Aimee defended her decision, saying: "I'm not some weirdo depressed daughter that's afraid of the world and locks herself in her room all day. I just didn't choose to do the show. I want to be a singer, and I felt if I'd stayed with the Osbournes and done the whole thing I would have been typecast right away. "[Sharon] was hurt, and we definitely had a tough time with disagreements. I'm more reserved and my private life is very important." Article continues below In 2021, it emerged that Sharon's two daughters were actually estranged from one another. Discussing her relationship with Aimee on the Dax Shepard podcast, Kelly admitted: "We don't talk. We're just really different. She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her." Despite the tension between the two sisters, it appears that Aimee has a much stronger bond with her younger brother Jack, as they both co-run the production company Osbourne Media together. Cooking with the Stars kicks off on Sunday, August 3 at 8pm on ITV1.

Heavy metal fans' final messages for Ozzy Osbourne as book of condolence closes

A book of condolence which has been open in Birmingham for people to write messages to Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has now closed. The rock legend died on July 22. Sharon Osbourne was visibly emotional as fans shouted 'Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy' during a procession through the streets of Birmingham in honour of the heavy metal star on Wednesday, July 30. The book has been open at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, which is currently holding an exhibition about the rock legend, titled "Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero". Thousands of people have been descending on the site to pay their respects and leave messages in memory of The Prince of Darkness. It officially closed at 5pm on Sunday, August 3, coinciding with the site shutting for the weekend and now it'll be packed up and sent to Ozzy's family. One of the fans who was signing on the last day said: "We had to stop here to pay respect to a wonderful artist, a wonderful man, very funny, very loving and it is with a heart full of love that we are heading back to Italy. "We had to be here, I had to be here, to say ciao to Ozzy. Another fan who made it just in time on the final day of singing the book of condolence, said: "I think what they've done for the Parkinson's charity is fantastic." Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019 and died at the age of 76, surrounded by his family. The news came a few weeks after he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates on July 5 to play a farewell gig at Villa Park – a stone's throw from where the band was formed in 1968. "He loved the city" Osbourne was also described by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal, as a 'proud Brummie' who helped put the city 'on the world map'. Mr Iqbal met the founding members of the heavy metal band, formed in the city in 1968, when they were presented with the freedom of Birmingham in June. He told the PA news agency: 'He (Osbourne) was very important and he was a proud Brummie. He loved the city. He will be much missed, I think, and he was loved by so many people in the city.' Other stars have also honoured Ozzy by paying tribute to him during live concert performances, including Lady Gaga, Coldplay and Alice Cooper. In a statement shared on Instagram, Cooper said: 'He was and will continue to be a rock n roll legend. Rock n Roll is a family and a fraternity. When we lose one of our own it bleeds. I wish I would have gotten to know my brother Ozzy better.' Thousands descended on Broad Street and Black Sabbath Bridge to say goodbye to Ozzy as his funeral procession made it's way through the city. Stacey, one fan from outside Birmingham told ITV News Central at the time of the procession, said: "Ozzy is the king of metal and he birthed an era." "We arrived here just before 8 this morning, a lot of my friends couldn't make it today and they are absolutely devastated. I told them I would be making it here and they said be there for us. "This moment is momentous and it's something we have to be present for." Another fan Jeff said, "Black Sabbath was the first gig I ever went to, I have seen Black Sabbath five times, I don't think his legacy will ever die." Katie who has also been there since this morning said, "This is the biggest farewell to a legend Birmingham will ever have and he deserves the best send off." His wife, former X Factor judge Sharon, 72, could be seen hugging the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal, after she arrived at the Black Sabbath bench where floral tributes have been laid. Joining her at the funeral procession were their three children, Aimee, Jack and Kelly who all raised their hands in a peace sign while paying their respects.

Jack Osbourne admits he and sister Aimee ‘are not close at all' as he addresses 'regret'

Jack Osbourne appeared on TV show The Osbournes along with mum Sharon, dad Ozzy, and sister Kelly, but his older sister Aimee opted not to appear on the show alongside her family Jack Osbourne admits he and his sister Aimee are 'not close at all' as he addresses her decision not to appear on The Osbournes. The pioneering reality TV show followed rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his family for four series. ‌ While Jack, 39, and his sister Kelly, 40, starred in the MTV hit, 41-year-old Aimee opted not to appear at all. Aimee reportedly feared she would be seen as 'riding on the coat-tails' of her family as she tried to make a name in the music industry. ‌ Speaking on the Disrespectfully podcast, Jack said: 'Back then she really wanted to be a musician and the kind of musician she wanted to be was like a Fiona Apple, Mazzy Star, like this kind of obscure, mysterious, moody…and she deemed doing a show on MTV as low-hanging fruit. She was like, 'I'm not going to be seen riding coat-tails,' kind of thing, that's how she perceived it. ‌ 'Once the show was hugely successful I think she was kind of like, 'Well I can't now come on because I don't want to be seen even more so as jumping on the bandwagon'. And she dug her heels in and wanted to be relatively private and obscure.' The Osbournes is said to have paved the way for reality TV shows following famous families. It followed the family as they tackled tough issues such as Sharon's cancer battle and an ATV accident that almost killed Ozzy. ‌ When asked if Aimee regretted not joining the show, Jack replied: 'I've never had the conversation with her, we're not close at all. We don't have a great relationship, she'll be the first to tell you that, so it's no secret. 'I've never asked her outright, 'Do you regret it'. I think there must be a level of like, 'Hey, my life would have probably been different than what it is if I'd done that', so I don't know, I think I would feel like I would have regretted it.' When quizzed on if he's 'glad' he did the show, Jack replied: 'Absolutely, it was such an interesting thing to be a part of, especially how much media has changed, there's just not that level of excitement around TV anymore like there was back then.' ‌ Aimee was recently spotted with her family as she attended her dad's funeral on Thursday. Rocker Ozzy died aged 76 on July 22, just weeks after his final performance with Black Sabbath. The family stopped at Black Sabbath bridge in Birmingham to read the messages left by thousands of fans since Ozzy's death. They were met with fans chanting 'Ozzy' and waiting for around five minutes before the procession continued on. The Black Sabbath frontman was laid to rest aside an ornamental lake on his 250-acre estate in Buckinghamshire. Since his death, fans have left floral tributes outside the property. Elsewhere Jack is set to appear on ITV One's Cooking with the Stars from 7pm tonight (August 3). He will be going head-to-head against reality star Jessica Wright.
