'Dope boy clone, looking for a dope boy loan/ Looking in a dope boy zone, f—ed around and found a dope boy phone,' TakeOff raps over the trap production.
TakeOff was shot and killed during a Halloween party in downtown Houston on Nov. 1, 2022. He was just 28 years old. The Harris County coroner's office confirmed at the time that TakeOff's primary cause of death was 'penetrating gunshot wounds of head and torso into arm.'
Just a few weeks before TakeOff's tragic shooting, Quavo and Take formed the Unc & Phew duo and released their first collaborative project, Only Built for Infinity Links, in October 2022. The project reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200.
Quavo is continuing to preserve TakeOff's memory with his non-profit Rocket Foundation. The Rocket Foundation announced on Thursday (May 1) that former White House official Gregory Jackson Jr. will be taking over as president of the foundation, according to Variety.
Jackson Jr. is the former deputy director of the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, which was dismantled by the Trump administration.
'I am thrilled to have Greg lead the charge for Rocket,' Quavo said in a statement. 'He is a longstanding partner of the organization and our persistent work to end gun violence. I know my foundation and Takeoff's legacy are in good hands with him.'
Quavo appears to be working toward another solo LP as he previously released singles like the Lil Baby-assisted 'Legends' and 'Trappa Rappa' earlier in 2025.

Selena Gomez Flashes Engagement Ring With Glam Halter Top Look
THE RUNDOWN On Saturday, Selena Gomez shared a post in her Instagram Stories of a new makeup look by her frequent collaborator, Jenna Nicole. In the two selfies, the Only Murders in the Building star was wearing a black velvet halter top with decorative buttons and her stunning marquise engagement ring. Her hair is down in sultry waves and she is, of course, wearing a full glam look with a smokey eye and coral lip. Nicole shared a second Gomez makeup look on her timeline that day in which the I Said I Love You First singer is wearing a bright red lip and matching red top with a mock turtleneck. Her hair is swept up into a sleek bun and she accessorized with her ring and a pair of chainlink silver earrings. On August 7, Gomez attended an event for the launch of her company Rare Beauty's Eau de Parfum. She stunned in a shimmering mother-of-pearl ensemble, Cult Gaia's Renata Gown. The dress featured a halterneck and low back, with draped fringes that flowed around her body. She wore it with white sandal heels and a pair of diamond statement earrings. That same day, her episode of the podcast Therapuss with Jake Shane was released. During the interview, Gomez shared that she and fiancé Benny Blanco first met when she was 16 to work on a scuttled project, and continued to meet casually over the years. 'I feel like he was an acquaintance, if that makes sense,' she said. 'To be honest, we weren't besties. I just thought he was nice, and then we did a few songs together.' But romance was in the cards years later. They got engaged in December 2024. Though Gomez said she 'couldn't be more excited,' the wedding is still far in the future. 'There's so much happening at the moment,' she explained. 'He's working on some projects that he has to wrap up, and we just have things we want to finish and our own personal endeavors before we get into all the nitty-gritty. I just have really never felt so sure about something, and I also don't want to jinx it by saying that.'

Coldplay's Song Climbs To New Global Peaks 25 Years After Its Debut
Coldplay introduced itself to the world with its debut album Parachutes, which arrived in summer 2000. The set produced several hit singles, including 'Shiver,' 'Yellow,' 'Trouble,' and 'Don't Panic,' but these days, fans are consuming the title thanks largely to one album cut. A perfect storm of virality and social media attention is helping that track not only become a hit, but rise higher and higher each week on the Billboard charts. 'Sparks' Scores New Chart Highs 'Sparks' began to attract a new audience months ago, and since then, it's become a fixture on charts in both the United Kingdom and the U.S. In America, 'Sparks' appears on eight Billboard rankings, and this frame it earns new high points on half of them. The track performs best on the Hot Alternative Songs chart, lifting one space to No. 8, fittingly, in its eighth frame on the tally. It also advances one spot to No. 79 on the Hot 100 and reaches newly-certified peaks on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S., improving to Nos. 87 and 119, respectively. Climbing Across Rock and Alternative Charts The same Coldplay cut climbs on two other genre-focused rosters this week. 'Sparks' inches up one rung to No. 11 on the Hot Rock Songs chart and also steps up one space to No. 13 on Hot Alternative Songs tally. Those marks are just shy of its career highs, as it has managed to soar higher before. 'Sparks' Helps Parachutes Soar Thanks to the ongoing success of 'Sparks,' Parachutes is once again a win on several charts in America. At the moment, it's sliding on the Top Alternative Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums lists and the Billboard 200, dipping to Nos. 19, 41, and 156, respectively. The project may be on the decline, but the fact that it's still on all three lists so many years after its release shows just how much the single is driving attention to the band's first full-length. Coldplay Claims Multiple Hits in America Coldplay fills half a dozen spaces on Billboard's global rankings, but in the U.S., the group only manages more than one hit on the Alternative Streaming Songs chart. As 'Sparks' falls to No. 10 there, 'Yellow' and 'Viva La Vida' both decline to Nos. 13 and 25. Those are the only other placements for the Grammy-winning outfit in America specifically. The Lasting Impact of Coldplay's Debut Album When Parachutes first arrived 25 years ago, it introduced the world to Coldplay's signature blend of atmospheric rock and introspective songwriting. The album won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album and has since gone multi-platinum in several countries. 'Yellow' became the band's breakout single, and now, 'Sparks' is giving the set an unexpected second life.

Justin Bieber's Fans Move From One Hit Single To The Next
When Justin Bieber surprise-released his new album Swag about a month ago, he focused fans' attention on lead single "Daisies." That tune earned a huge debut on a number of Billboard charts and has largely fallen since then, although it has been picking up steam lately on pop radio. As people move past "Daisies," they've turned their attention to another track from the same project — "Yukon" — which this week reaches a new peak on several tallies and even manages to debut on multiple Billboard rankings at the same time. 'Yukon' Debuts on Three Charts Bieber's "Yukon," the second official single from Swag, launches on a trio of the rankings in the United States. It opens highest on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, where it begins its time at No. 7. Bieber has now collected 17 top 10s on the list of the top-selling tunes in those styles and a milestone 25 total hits on the roster throughout his career. Radio Airplay Begins for 'Yukon' The same Swag single is also just getting started at various radio formats. "Yukon" opens at No. 35 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and just below the top 40 region, at No. 41, on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay list. In both instances, Bieber collects his milestone tenth win. 'Yukon' Climbs to New Peaks on Multiple Tallies As "Yukon" debuts on three charts, the cut hits a new all-time best showing on two other tallies. On the Rhythmic Airplay chart, "Yukon" surges from No. 33, where it debuted last week, to No. 17. At the same time, it improves its standing by just one space on the R&B Digital Song Sales roster, leaping to No. 5. R&B Success Keeps 'Yukon' at the Top "Yukon" is proving to be a huge win specifically in the R&B space, as it's being pushed to that audience, while "Daisies" caters more to those who favor pop. "Yukon" holds at No. 1 on the R&B Streaming Songs ranking and No. 3 on the Hot R&B Songs chart, even as it declines on more generalized lists like the Hot 100 and Streaming Songs tally. 'Daisies' Gains Ground on Pop Radio "Daisies" is also slipping on the Hot 100, Streaming Songs chart, and both of Billboard's worldwide tallies, but when it comes to radio, the still-new cut is gaining ground. Three weeks into its life on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay charts, "Daisies" grows to new highs, hitting No. 17 on the top 40 list and No. 18 on the ranking aimed at a more mature pop-loving audience. Another Radio Songs Win for Justin Bieber The cut also becomes another top 40 smash for Bieber on the Radio Songs ranking, where "Yukon" has yet to land. "Daisies" barely makes it to that space as it opens at No. 45, giving the Canadian Grammy winner his thirty-seventh placement on the hugely competitive list.
